It could cause a overheatig coditio or a short circuit. Do ot istall the product where it ca get damp or i a dusty eviromet. It may cause overheatig or short circuit. Pollutio Degree 2 Do ot use this product i a locatio where the ambiet room temperature falls below 5 C ad rises above 40 C. Do ot istall the product i a locatio at a altitude of over 2,000 meters (6,562 feet). Do ot operate this product ear a heater or a air-coditioer. The device should be located i a well vetilated locatio. Be sure the vetilatio holes o the side or rear surface of the body are ot blocked by a wall or a object. It may cause fire or damage if the product is ot to able to properly reject heat or isufficiet vetilatio may result. The fluctuatio of mai power voltage should be lower tha +/ /-10% of the omial voltage. The maximum relative humidity is 80% at 31 C ad 50% at 40 C. Use oly a power outlet which has a groud (earth) termial. Do ot earth to gas pipe, plastic tap water pipe or phoe lie. It may cause a electrical shock, a fire, breakdow or explosio of the uit. The product should be coected to the rated power supply as specified o the label o the rear side of the uit, AC 120V/60Hz, 15A. 5 If a product was trasported or stored i high humidity coditio, please check packagig coditio before use. If the carto or woode box is waterlogged, please cotact the delivererr or our techical service egieer. 9 Rear Fa Mechaism for Maximum Temperature Variatio. Heater is equipped i the bottom ad two sides of the chamber. Do ot put ay object o the bottom. <Figure 2> Ier chamber of Forced Air Geeral Icubator * Ier AC Outlet (The ier AC Outlet is applied to the uits havig 120V, 60Hz oly.) - Ratig: 120Vac, 60Hz, 1A - Fuse: 250V F1AH Ier AC Outlet is located o the right pael of ier chamber. <Figure 4> Ier AC Outlet Ratig The ratig of ier AC Outlet is 120Vac, 60Hz, 1A. Before pluggig ay device ito the ier outlet, isure that the device has the proper ratig. If a device is plugged ito the ier outlet without the proper ratig, the fuse will be blow ad it may cause a fire or shock. 10 Istallatio 5 1 Please read Sectio 1 Safety Istructios carefully for your safety before use. 2. After receivig the uit ad locatig it i the specified locatio, remove the packagig. 3. Check the uit for ay trasport damages. If ay such damages are foud, please cotact the deliverer of the product. 4. Movemet ad placemet method of the product - VWR Forced Air Geeral Icubators except ,127 are ot equipped with casters. Uits should be moved usig a cart ,127 are equipped with 4 casters please use these casters whe movig uit. Esure that o damage is sustaied by the uits durig trasport. It is recommeded that uits are moved by at least 2 people ad by liftig uits up holdig the idicated positios i the figure below. 5. The product should be positioed i a locatio where it has eough space for vetilatio ad prevetio from fire. The recommeded distace of each side is miimum 20cm from the back wall, 100cm from the side walls ad ceilig respectively. 6. Place the device o a level, horizotal surface to support the capacity of the device without vibratio. 7. Oce the uit is placed i its istallatio locatio, let the uit stad for miutes so that all the iteral parts of the uit stabilize. 8. Coect the power cord to the wall socket. 9. Whe istallig the device, esure the wall socket is easily accessible. * Groudig This product must be coected to a proper grouded power supply. You should coect to the power socket havig the groud ad over 5A for all models. Do ot earth to gas pipe, plastic tap water pipe or phoe lie. 12 8. RS232C Coector Port for the cable coectio to PC - Moitorig ad Cotrollig with PC by coectig RS232C cable 9. SAFETY Protector Protects the product by cuttig the power to the heater whe the uit operates abormally ad overheats (over 80 C). If the SAFETY Protector has bee activated, the heater will ot autorecover, ad must be reset maually to recover. (The safety protector is applied to the uits havig 120V, 60Hz oly.) l To reset the SAFETY Protector 1) Check the locatio of the SAFETY Protector 2) Remove the red cap of the Protector by turig it to the left, ad press the switch oce. The, you should hear the click soud, the protectio will be released ad the uit will work. Cautio! 13 Operatio 7 1. Preparatio for Use l Coect the power cord to the proper power socket. l Tur the Mai Power Switch to the o positio. l Set the SAFETY Kob to 20~30 C higher tha operatio temperature. l Before operatio, check that the door is completely closed. If the door is ot completely closed, the LCD Display shows "Error 3 Door Ope!" error message ad the buzzer souds. 2. Settig the Timer 2.1 Set Operatio Timer l The iitial mode after power up is Set Operatio Timer mode, the TIMER idicator flashes. l Tim SV o the LCD display idicates the set value of the timer ad Tim PV idicates the preset value (remaiig time) of the timer. l Iitial value (SV) of the time is 00:00, which meas ifiite time. That meas this uit will operate (heat) cotiuously oce the operatio is started. l Tur the Rotary Kob, the SV ad PV chage together. SV ca be set i 1 miute icremets ad the maximum value is 99:59 (99 hours ad 59 miutes). l Set the required time usig the Rotary Kob ad push it to complete the timer settig. The timer is started. The uit cotiues to operate (heat) util the SV of the timer has expired. v Whe Operatio Timer eds, Alarm beeps three times. v Whe the Timer activates, Timer Idicator is lit o Temperature Mode or Lockig Mode. I Timer Mode, the Timer Idicator flashes regardless the Timer activatio. 14 idicates the preset value (remaiig time) of the timer. l Set required delay time usig the Rotary Kob ad push it i to complete the timer settig. The timer is started ad the TIMER lamp idicator is lit. The uit starts operatio (heatig) after the delay time has expired. l Retur to the Set Operatio Timer mode by pushig the MAIN butto. v After settig Operatio Timer ad/or Delay Timer, push the Rotary Kob to operatio of the Timers. v To chage the Delay Timer Settig durig operatio, push the Rotary Kob oce to stop operatio ad set Timer accordigly. After completio of settig, push the Rotary Kob oce to restart operatio. Operatio Timer ca be set durig operatio without stoppig the uit. 3. Set Temperature 3.1 Set Temperature l Go to Set Temperature mode by pushig the MAIN butto while i the Set Operatio Timer mode. l Temp SV o the LCD display idicates the set value of the operatio temperature ad Temp PV idicates the preset value (measured value by temperature sesor i the chamber) of the chamber temperature. l Tur the Rotary Kob, the SV chages. The SV ca be set i 0.1 C icremets. The maximum value is 70 C. l Set the required operatig temperature usig the Rotary Kob ad push it i to complete the temperature settig. The cotroller starts operatio of the heater to reach the set temperature. v To chage the Set Temperature durig operatio, push the Rotary Kob oce to stop operatio ad set Temperature accordigly. After completio of settig, push the Rotary Kob oce to restart operatio. v Durig heatig, HEAT Idicator is flickerig upo the heater operatio. v Durig operatio, PV Temp ad Ruig are show o the lower lie by turs. 3.2 Temperature Offset (Calibratio) VWR Forced Air Geeral Icubators itelligetly ad precisely cotrol the temperature iside the chamber by Advaced, Adaptive Microprocessor Cotrol, so high precisio with low over/udershoot is assured. Some users may wat to sychroize the PV temperature of the uit to the temperature value measured by a thermometer that is used as a referece poit for the process. To accomplish this, the VWR Forced Air Geeral Icubators offer a fuctio to adjust the PV temperature withi 10.0 ~ C Þ User s self-compesatio fuctio. l Go to Set Offset Value mode by pushig the SUB butto while i the Set Temperature mode. l Temp PV o the LCD display idicates curret temperature ad Offset idicates the value to be added to the PV temperature (compesatio value). l Tur the Rotary Kob, the Offset ad the Temp PV chage together. Offset ca be set i VWR Iteratioal, VWR Forced Air Geeral Icubator 14/19

15 0.1 C icremets, ad the iput rage is 10.0 to C. Temp PV, ow shows the temperature value with the added or subtracted offset value. l Retur to the Set Temperature mode by pushig the MAIN butto. l If Set Temperature Offset is accessed durig operatio (heatig) heatig will be stopped. Operatio ca be restarted by pushig the Mai Butto the the Rotary Kob. v After the adjustmet, hold the Rotary Kob for 1 secod to save the set value ad see the LCD display flickers twice (refer to 5. Storage Fuctio). We recommed to store the offset value whe you used a calibrated validator/thermometer or the uit is used for the persoal applicatio oly. But, if the uit is for public use or the adjustmet is for temporary applicatio, do ot save the value. Otherwise, it may affect to other applicatios. 4. Lockig Mode l It is recommeded that while uit is i operatio (heatig) that the uit is set to Lockig Mode. l Go to Lockig mode by pushig the MAIN butto while i the Set Temperature mode. I this mode, turig or pushig the Rotary Kob has o effect o the uit, to avoid ay uiteded chages. l Operatio Timer PV ad Temp PV are show o the LCD display. l Retur to Set Operatio Timer mode by pushig MAIN butto. l If you eed to set Temperature, push the MAIN butto agai while i the Set Operatio Timer mode. 5. Storage Fuctio I each settig mode (Set Operatio Timer mode, Set Delay Timer mode, Set Temperature mode, ad Set Offset Value mode), you ca store the set values by simply pushig ad holdig the Rotary Kob for 1 secod. To show the value is successfully stored, the set value o the LCD display flashes twice. Eve though the uit is tured off, the set values are stored permaetly, so you ca reuse the values for the ext operatio. 6. Fuctio of Auto Recovery at Power Failure I the evet of a uexpected disruptio of the power supply to the product caused by power loss or by accidetal removal of the power cord from the power socket whe power is restored to the uit, VWR Forced Air Geeral Icubators have a fuctio to automatically recover the status of the last operatio as follows: l Activatig the fuctio: If you save the curretly operatig Temp SV value, to a ozero value as set i 5. Storage Fuctio above, the uit will start operatio with the saved Temp SV automatically without maually settig/startig agai at the ext power up of the uit. If you wat the uit to start operatio automatically agai after sudde power loss situatio, save the curret Temp SV by pushig i the Rotary Kob for 1 secod while operatig. * Timer ad Delay Timer values are ot activated after auto recovery. * Oce power recovered, the display automatically shows the Temperature Ruig VWR Iteratioal, VWR Forced Air Geeral Icubator 15/19

16 mode. l Deactivatig the fuctio: If you tur the Rotary Kob couterclockwise maximally i Set Temperature mode, 0 C will be displayed after 25 C. If you save this 0 value of Temp SV by pushig the Rotary Kob for 1 secod, the uit will stay at the iitial status without operatig automatically at the ext power up of the uit. Please use this mode oly whe you do t eed automatic recovery of operatio after power loss. * After power recovered, the LCD Display automatically goes ito the Timer Settig Mode for adjustmet. 6. Summarizatio of Mode Trasitio By the simple combiatio of MAIN, SUB buttos ad Rotary Kob, VWR Forced Air Geeral Icubators offer outstadig user-iterface with maximum efficiecy ad coveiece for cotrollig overall fuctios of the uit. Do ot use coarse cloth, strog chemicals or orgaic solutios. 3. Do ot use water, Bezee, Thier or ay alcohol for cleaig the product. It may cause discoloratio, damage, a electric shock or fire. 4. If you expect damage by a chemical durig cleaig, call VWR techical support team. 5. Do ot pour water directly ito the uit. It may cause a electric shock or fire. 6. Durig cleaig of the chamber, be careful cleaig the corers to avoid ijury. - Cleaig Method of the Ier Chamber l Remove the shelves equipped i the chamber. Clea the cotamiated part usig a eutral deterget ad soft cloth. l After cleaig, reassemble the shelves properly. l Do ot clea the uit aggressively. Otherwise, the coatig or paitig of the product could be damaged. - Cleaig Method of the Exterior l Clea the exterior usig a eutral deterget ad soft cloth. l Do ot clea the display or Rotary Kob aggressively as they may be damaged. l Do ot clea the uit aggressively. Error 1 Error 3 Cofirmatios ad Solutios Check the Temp SV ad cofirm operatio by pushig i the Rotary Kob. Check the MAIN Power Switch is o. Check the SAFETY Kob is set to a value higher tha the operatig temperature. Check the Safety Protector is ot activated. Check the power cord is plugged ito wall socket. Check the supplied voltage is proper ad regulated. Check the Set Temperature is higher tha ambiet temperature (recommeded mi set temp: 10C higher tha ambiet temp). Problem i the sesor or mai cotroller. Please cotact VWR Equipmet & Istrumet Services Check the SAFETY Kob is set to a value higher tha the operatig temperature. Check the Vetilatio hole is well sealed. Check power source of wall socket ad see what other loads are o wall circuit. Temperature Sesor Readig Error. Check whether the uit is heatig properly or ot whe the Error 1 develops. Please cotact VWR Equipmet & Istrumet services Door ope alarm ad appears whe you ope the door. If Error 3 develops durig door closed, check the Limit Switch is pressed properly. The Limit Switch is located beeath the upper right corer of the uit.
