5 Special Details performed by fire personnel: : Chief West gave Rosco Waller 2 smoke detectors : Voting conducted at Station Cabin, Carver, Blalock, Gary Reid, and Roberts : Chief West and Chief Polk met with Kim Dutton of Three Rivers about the Hazard Mitigation Plan update : Chief West and Chief Polk worked on Updated EOP and submitted to Mr. Mosley for upcoming commissioner meeting : Chief West spoke with Mr. Mosley and submitted letter and Statewide Mutual Aid and Assistance Agreement : Chief West, Chief Clark, Chief Polk and Melissa worked on the budget : Chief Polk and Lt. White taught CERT: Disaster Preparedness and Fire Safety : Squad 7 and Engine 4 meet at headquarters to plan for firefighter candidate job task exercise this weekend : Mrs. Dube, Sandra Parker (her daughter), and family members stopped by Station 1 to thank Firefighter Jordan Scibetta and Firefighter Desmond Woodard for their kindness and professionalism during an incident that occurred which resulted in the passing of her ill husband. Mrs. Dube left cookies to show her appreciation and hugged each fire personnel and staff. 6 : Officers meeting held at HQ and Assistant County manager Eric Mosley sat in on the meeting : Chief Polk submitted the February 2016 water usage report : Chief Clark met with Doyle Electric for proposed generator locations : B Shift Engines 2, 7, 1, and Squad 3 and 7 completed training over rescue equipment : Utility 7 and Squad 7 reported to headquarters Station to assist with testing Engine 1 and Engine 7 s back up load : Battalion Chief Slaughter drove the brush truck around the county to put miles on the engine so it can be placed in service. While out doing so, he assisted Elsie Reed at 491 Johnny Cut Road with getting in her house after locking the keys in the house : Firefighter Renee McIver, Firefighter Robert Henderson, Firefighter Nick Long, Lt. 19 : Chief Polk conducted a Tornado Preparedness Presentation to Fairmont Youth Group at Headquarters Station : Chief Polk received a grant reimbursement from the Georgia Forestry commission and presented to Jinna Garrison : Captain Jester picked up 7 smoke detectors for Barbara Lovett of 114 Wedsgewood Walk, Pat Blackmon 1270 South McDonough Road, Dorothy Ellis of 112 Wedgewood Walk, Marcia Jester of 527 East Tinsley Street, and Bernice Weems of 1311 Greenbriar Drive : Chief West, Chief Clark, Chief Polk and Captain Goodman interviewed candidates for Lieutenant s Position : Chief Clark and C Shift personnel worked on smoke detector checks at Sun City : Chief West and Chief Polk researched historical disaster events in Spalding for the Hazard Mitigation Plan update : Chief West, Chief Clark, Chief Polk and Captain Goodman in lieutenant interviews : Susan Aleshive 1615 Brentwood Drive came by HQ to pick up 1 smoke detector : Deputy Chief Clark with C Shift Fire personnel conducted a smoke detector detail at Sun City Peachtree : C Shift personnel performed hose testing at Headquarters : Cub Scout Troop toured Headquarters Station and learned about fire safety. mslaughter 04/05/

Zavario Johnson teaching medical operations : Chief West, Chief Polk and Mr. Mosley attended a webinar regarding early warning notification system - Hyper Reach : Hosted an EMA rescue team training session at Station : Chief West and Chief Polk attended the Public Health District 4 accreditation meeting and workshop in Fayetteville : Chief West and Chief Polk met with Orchard Hill officials regarding the EOP resolution and the resolution for the 2016 Statewide Mutual Aid Agreement : New brush truck arrived at Headquarters with graphics installed : Hosted an EMA rescue team training session at Station : Submitted the OHS and Fire FY2017 budgets. mslaughter 04/05/

23 : Submitted the 2016 Homeland Security Grant Program application : Mistras here to perform annual ladder tests on department aerial and ground ladders : Submitted all additional emergency and disaster plans to Kim Dutton, 3 Rivers Planner, for the Hazard Mitigation Plan update : Visited Orchard Hill officials to check on status of resolutions : Ema Chasten of Manley Spangler Smith Architecture went to Station 7 to take pictures inside and out : Chief West visited B Shift Station #2 and Station #3 personnel : Chief West went to Orchard Hill City Hall to discuss the Local Emergency Operations Plan and to make suggestions for Tornado safety. It was determined the basement would be the best place to be during a tornado. Next week, Captain Williams will follow up with Orchard Hill city Hall to discuss the appropriate fire extinguisher for their facility and create a fire evacuation plan. Deputy Chief Polk is programming a weather radio for Orchard Hill : Chief Clark and Captain Henderson worked to mount tools and equipment in the new brush truck : Chief Clark met with Bragg roofing regarding the roofs at Station 1 and the fire admin building : Chief Polk and Captain Goodman met with Josh Freece of Bennett for a turn out gear presentation : Chief West and Chief Polk went to T&T uniforms to check on alternate uniform styles : C Shift Squad 3, Engine 6, and Engine 5 reported to Headquarters for hose testing : Photographer Megan reported to Headquarters Station to get some action shots of the Firefighters testing hose : A Shift Personnel, Volunteers from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Deja White of the SCROTC, Deputy Chief Polk, Laney Polk, and members of the American Red Cross met at Station 4 to install smoke detectors for the surrounding residents. White in firefighter interviews : Chief Clark and Chief Polk attended a presentation on Civic Ready products at the annex : Chief Polk attended a webinar from FEMA regarding Hazard Mitigation Grant projects : Squad 3 and Squad 7 personnel arrived at HQ Station for CPR Training taught by Captain Goodman and Chief West : Engine 4 personnel arrived at Sun City for smoke detector detail : Battalion 1 went on detail at Griffin Center Point Church : Battalion 1 reported to Eagles Way Church for Easter Service : Captain Henderson took 208 to Headquarters, dropped off time sheets, and attended Easter Service at Cathedral of Praise Church in Blalock district : Engine 1 reported to Oak Hill Baptist Church for Easter Service : Lt. Rocky White assisted Assistant County Manager Eric Mosley with hosting the Georgia Department of Economic Development to assist our community with marketing ourselves to the public : Fire Marshal Williams advised AEP Industries would be performing a fire watch due to their fire alarm system being repaired : A Shift Personnel set of an obstacle course for Brush Truck drivers training : AEP Industries Mr. Eric Mullins called to advise their fire alarm system is back on line : First Christian Church (Mary Grant and her husband) stopped by to drop off stuffed animals to give to children involved in incidents : Mr. Mike Boggs from Griffin First Baptist Cub Scouts came by Station 1 to present a framed picture form their recent tour of the fire Station and to thank personnel. mslaughter 04/05/

26 : Mr. Scott with C&R Fleet called to notify us they are flaring off tanks : Community Emergency Response Team Members arrived at Headquarters Station for a fire extinguisher class and C.E.R.T.
