5 : Clarence Sanders, Spalding County's first fire chief passed away this date : Chief Clark spoke to POD 36 at Sun City about Fire Safety in the home : Flags at all stations were flown at half-mast until Monday to remember the late Fire Chief Sanders : Chief Clark spoke to citizens at Sun City on Fire Department Operations : Colonial Pipeline & Plantation Pipe Line taught an emergency pipeline response class : A Shift personnel and recruits prepped and painted front office for Chief Sanders viewing on Saturday : A Shift Station 5 personnel brought Tanker 5 to Headquarters so Rookie personnel could do pump training : Chief Clark and Fire Personnel from Station 2 completed a fire safety program for Special Needs Students at Futral Road Elementary School : Fire department personnel painted front office and updated pictures and plaques on the walls : Personnel practiced and prepared for the funeral for Chief Sanders : Shift B participated in Friendly Firemen Detail at Futral Road Elementary : Shift B Engine 3 personnel, Chief West, Chief Polk, Capt.
