It largely eliminates the need for expensive E0 cabling by making se of the so called loop wiring method. The system is flly spervised and is perfectly sited for se in commercial premises, sch as office bildings and hotels. System overview Typical applications inclde: Pblic address systems that cover large zones: more than 2 lodspeakers per zone. Voice alarm: locations that have several rooms in the same fire zone. 2 2 Lodspeakers Line Isolator System The Lodspeakers Line Isolator System consists of the following prodcts: DC Blocking Board Master Unit PM1 LISM The zone otpts of the pblic address/voice alarm system (1) are connected to the rear of the Master Unit (2), which can manage a total of six (00 W) lodspeaker loops (). The stats of each loop is indicated by LEDs on the front panel of the Master Unit. The front panel also has LEDs to indicate the stats of the mains spply and backp battery power spply. All falt indicators on the front panel are linked to falt relays on the rear panel of the Master Unit. Isolator Board Spplied with IP0 rated hosing: PM1 LISS The Isolator Boards () are daisy chained in the lodspeaker loop and distribte adio from the pblic address/voice alarm system, via the Master Unit, to the lodspeakers (). Their main fnction is to: detect and isolate short circits in the adjacent segment. detect and isolate open circits, short circits, and overloads on a tap off. A maximm of 0 Isolator Boards can be installed in each lodspeaker loop. The Isolator Board has two 100 V adio connectors for connecting to both sides of the lodspeaker loop and a third 100 V adio connector for creating a tap off for one or more lodspeakers. Jmper settings are provided to set the permissible lodspeaker power level (10,, 100 W or 10 W with 20 khz pilot tone filter), and other spervision settings. The Isolator Board has a test/falt LED. This LED is visible when the board is monted in the spplied hosing, allowing for easy falt-finding in the system. PM1 LISD The DC Blocking Board blocks DC and provides overload protection by se of crrent limiting. It has the same connections as the Isolator Board, which allows for qick and convenient connection of the lodspeaker loop and tap-off connections (maximm 20 W lodspeaker load). The DC Blocking Board can be monted inside selected Bosch lodspeakers. Fnctions Controls and indicators The Lodspeakers Line Isolator System is flly spervised; reported falts are non latching. There are no operator controls on the front or rear panels of the Master Unit. The ser interface on the front panel consists of LEDs that indicate the following conditions: mode initialization The stats of the mains spply and backp battery power spply is also indicated. The rear panel contains the interconnections, voltage selector, mains power switch, and DIP switches for setp and test prposes.
