1 Humble request from Chief Executive and staff/ workers of RPRC to one and all Annual State Level Flower Show, 2018 is being organized on 13 th and 14 th January, 2018 (second Saturday and Sunday) in the premises of Botanic Garden (Ekamrakanan), RPRC with the support of NALCO. The entry to the Botanic Garden on these two days is free for all the visitors. There will be a PLANT BAZAR where nurseries from Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Puri will be exhibiting/ display/ sale their Plants, seeds, farm implements, pesticides etc. Here is a humble request to all the nurseries/ individuals to participate in this PLANT BAZAR (State Level Flower Show, 2018). Interested firms/ companies/ nurseries can download the form for booking of Stalls/ Open space during the State Level Flower Show, 2018 from RPRC website, which is going to be organized on 13 th and 14 th January, Hotels/ Restaurants/ Firms can book food stalls on payment of hire charges during 13 th and 14 th January, They may download the form for booking of food stalls during the State Level Flower Show, 2018 from RPRC website ( ). -Sd- Chief Executive
2 Letter to Institutions/ Organizations/ Industries etc. for participation in State Level Flower Show, 2018 To All Institutions/ Organizations/ Industries and others. Dear Sir, You may be aware that the Regional Plant Resource Centre, Bhubaneswar in association with National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) and Plant Lovers Association organises a state level flower show during second Saturday and Sunday of January every year in the premises of Botanic Garden (Ekamrakanana), Regional Plant Resource Centre, Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar. The beautiful landscape, sprawling lawns, colourful flower beds, picturesque lake with migratory birds and wide variety of plants and flowers attract large number of visitors to Botanic Garden of RPRC in winter. During these two day flower show more than 1,00,000 visitors from Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and other places of Odisha visit the show and enjoy the ambience of Ekamrakanan amongst plants, flowers and people. Each year more than 500 entries are registered for the Show and Government Institutes, Public Undertakings, Corporate and Industrial Houses, Private Farms, Nurseries, Individuals, Amateur Growers participate in the Garden Competitions, floral display, flower arrangement, cut flower show and exhibition of special group of plants. The best judged entries in each section are awarded with trophies and prizes as a mark of encouragement and appreciation for their efforts. A Plant Mela is organised during the event and some 50 nurseries get involved in display and sale of plants. Several firms/ companies dealing with seeds, garden implements, pesticides, fertilizers, manures etc. put up their stalls and exhibit their products for promotion and sale. This year, the Flower Show is being organised in the premises of the Botanic Garden of Regional Plant Resource Centre (Ekamrakanan Park), Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar on 13 th and 14 th January, 2018 in collaboration with National Aluminium Company (NALCO), and Plant Lovers Association, Bhubaneswar. This flower show is for creation of environmental awareness, love for plants, flowers and to encourage plant growers in such activities for the cause of nature and humanity. You are cordially invited to participate in the programme and various competitions being organised on these two days. You may exhibit your products and highlight your activities and achievements for a large number of visitors during this occasion. You can also display / sale your product during the exhibition. 3 State Level Flower Show, 2018 To All Nurseries/ firms and others. Sub: Participation in PLANT BAZAR during Annual Flower Show, Dear Sir, The Annual State Level Flower Show, 2018 is being organised by Regional Plant Resource Centre (RPRC) in collaboration with the Plant Lovers Association and NALCO on 13 th and 14 th January 2018 in the premises of the Botanic Garden (Ekamrakanan), RPRC, Nayapalli (on Ekamra kanan-jayadev Vihar Road) Bhubaneswar. As in previous years, there will be a PLANT BAZAR at the venue of the show where flowering and foliage plants, cut flowers, grafts, seedlings, seeds, fertilizers, pots, garden tools and implements and many such items will be on sale during the show. Considering the requests made by some of the participating nurseries, it has been decided to make available 15ft x 13ft (195 sqft) stalls with tarpaulin covers and three tier benches on one side of the stall at a cost of Rs. 8000/- (Rupees Eight thousand only) per unit and open space of 10ft x 20ft with a nominal maintenance cost of Rs. 2000/- (Rupees Two thousand only) per unit. Normal light arrangement in the stalls and open spaces will be made. In addition, one counter table and two chairs will be provided to each stall. Permissible number of vehicles will be allowed to transport the plant materials from 6:00 AM of 12 th January 2018 till 9:00 AM of 13 th January However, necessary Entry Passes will be issued for the purpose, which need to be collected from the Ticket Counter of the Botanic Garden, RPRC. The application form for booking of Stalls and Open Spaces is enclosed with the request to confirm your participation in the Plant Bazar. The filled in application form along with payment should reach the RPRC office, Bhubaneswar on or before 08 th of January, 2018 positively so as to enable us to erect stalls or reserve space for you. The Regional Plant Resource Centre is considering payment of partial assistance for transport of plants by trucks for display and exhibition only to nurseries, organisations and individuals. Cooking of meals (lunch/ dinner), use of plastic/ non-biodegradable items will not be allowed. 12. Use of electrical heaters/ stoves/ firewood burning or any other activity causing environmental problem will not be permitted. (Induction heaters/ Microwave Oven/ LPG stoves may be used). 13. The authority is not responsible for any incidence/ accident due to miss handling of electrical installations/ LPG during use. The caterer has to organise lifting of waste materials outside the RPRC campus. In case of non-disposal of waste materials, the caution money shall be forfeited.

7 Annual Flower Show & Competition 2018 Regional Plant Resource Centre and Plant Lovers Association, Bhubaneswar are organising the 30 th State Level Annual Flower Show & Competition 2018 on the 13 th and 14 th of January, 2018.The Show aims at developing a competitive spirit and to present an aesthetic display for viewing pleasure. It is also expected that new and improved varieties of plants and flowers would be on display for benefit of the general public The Show will have the following categories of Competition: Class A (Queen of the Show) A single Hybrid Tea Rose with a stem of at least 30 cm with leaves is to be exhibited. Section 1 Private Section 2 Institution (includes Nurseries) Class B (Cut Flowers) Section 1 Private (5 blooms for subsections a to d and 3 in all others) Section 2 Institution and Nurseries (10 blooms for subsections a to d and 5 in all others) Subsections a. Rose Hybrid Tea (Mixed Colours) b. Rose Hybrid Tea (Only Red colour blooms) c. Rose Hybrid Tea (Only Yellow colour blooms) d. Rose Hybrid Tea (Only White colour blooms) e. No pre-carved vegetables will be accepted.
