2 APPEARANCE REVIEW COMMITTEE Meeting Minutes For January 26, 2016 Committee Members present: Paul Mocogni, John Cioni, Aaron Peaslee Committee Members absent: Joe Davis, Kathy Scopelliti City staff present: Adrian Marquez Meeting called to order at 7:00 pm Approval of Minutes: Minutes from January 12, 2016 were not discussed because a quorum from that meeting was not present. SCHEDULED BUSINESS: 1. Disotto 310 Green Bay Road. Michael Weber, architect, and Robin Jones, owner, presented plans for a raceway wall sign, projecting wall sign, awning and door signage. Raceway signage would be reverse-lit, 20-inch tall, wrought iron letters and logo set on distressed wood backdrop on steel beam support with aluminum can lighting. Existing black fabric awning would be utilized with Italian phrases design element stenciled on front canvas in 4 inch white lettering. A rounded, hanging, double-sided, 2 ft. 4 inch, illuminated box sign displaying logo, would extend no more than 18 inches off of northeast corner of building above entrance. Name and hours of operation would be stenciled on door in 4 inch lettering. ARC recommended approval of wall signage, awning design element and door signage. Motion to accept was made by Peaslee and seconded by Cioni. Motion carried with all in favor. The hanging illuminated box sign required 2 variances: According to item B-2d(1), Illuminated box signs are not permitted. After discussion, the ARC recommended that a variance be granted under A-1a(3), That the granting of approval for this proposed or existing sign is consistent with the overall purpose of this chapter. A motion to recommend a variance was made by Cioni and seconded by Peaslee. Motion carried with all in favor. According to item B-3c2, if attached to a building or premises, shall be erected parallel to the vertical wall surface and shall not project more than 12 inches from the wall upon which it is attached. After discussion, the ARC recommended that a variance be granted under A-1a(3), That the granting of approval for this proposed or existing sign is consistent with the overall purpose of this chapter. A motion to recommend a variance was made by Cioni and seconded by Peaslee. Motion carried with all in favor. OTHER BUSINESS FROM ARC AND CITY STAFF: Old business: none New business: none With no other business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:17. Motion to adjourn was made by Cioni, seconded by Peaslee.

3 APPEARANCE REVIEW COMMITTEE Meeting Minutes For February 9, 2016 Committee Members present: Paul Mocogni, John Cioni, Joe Davis, Kathy Scopelliti Committee Members absent: Aaron Peaslee City staff present: Adrian Marquez Meeting called to order at 7:00 pm Approval of Minutes: Minutes from January 26, 2016 were not discussed because a quorum from that meeting was not present. Minutes from January 12 were presented for approval. Motion to accept by Davis, seconded by Scopelliti. Motion carried with all in favor. SCHEDULED BUSINESS: 1. Classic Tile Inc Sheridan Road. Claudio DiVagno, owner, presented plans for a rear façade wall sign. Wall signage consists of two parts - aluminum clad 4 ft. x 8 ft. sign displaying Classic in inch custom font with Tile, Inc. in 3.8 inch Gill Sans font. Website address is displayed in 3.25 inch Minion Pro font beneath. Adjoining aluminum clad sign is 4 ft. x 4 ft. and will display other items and phone number. A motion to accept 4 ft. x 8 ft. sign was made by Davis and seconded by Cioni. Motion carried with all in favor. The rear façade signage required a variance: According to item B-2b(2)c, Wall signs identifying the business use of a premises shall be permitted upon one of the facades as set forth in B2b of this section unless a variance is obtained. After discussion, the ARC recommended that a variance be granted under A1a(3), That the granting of approval for this proposed or existing sign is consistent with the overall purpose of this chapter. A motion to recommend a variance was made by Cioni and seconded by Scopelliti. Motion carried with all in favor. Adjoining aluminum clad sign 4 ft. x 4 ft. sign was not approved at this time and will be presented at a future ARC meeting. OTHER BUSINESS FROM ARC AND CITY STAFF: Old business: Adrian briefly discussed city zoning code maximum sign height limit of 12 ft. and that Disotto raceway sign discussed at January 26 ARC meeting exceeded 12 ft. in height. New business: none With no other business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:30. Motion to adjourn was made by Cioni, seconded by Davis.

While we have not chosen the precise tables and chairs they will be in keeping with the rest of our restaurant...simple and understated. We are not planning umbrellas.
