Brad reviewed the project budget and context (see Workshop #3 minutes) for new attendees Design team presentation: Laura aman reviewed the Washington Sustainable Schools Protocol (WSSP) categories, potential strategies applicable to eany and examples of sustainable strategies from other projects. Kas Kinkead, landscape architect, explained potential site strategies. echanical and electrical engineers Brendon Inman and Tamas Bencsik reviewed approach to energy efficiency hvac replacement and electrical system upgrades. Tamas explained classroom ventilation will be greatly improved. The planned hvac system will have the capability to bring in 100% outside air to the spaces. The amount of outside air will be modulated by a CO2 sensor in each room Group Discussion: SDAT members wrote short descriptions of potential sustainable strategies on index cards and the design team categorized the cards based on the WSSP. Brad iller lead a group discussion of the potential strategies that were identified. Refer to item 4-04 for list of all strategies Prioritization Exercise: All present were offered 5 dots to use in voting for their Eco- Charrette priorities. The most votes (12 total) went to providing daylight, views and eany SDAT 4 eeting inutes.doc
