11 Relax Liverpool boasts the largest number of listed parks and cemeteries outside of London in the UK, and is particularly well known for its Victorian Parks, the most famous of which is Sefton Park. A short bus ride, cycle or drive away from home, the inspiring 235 acre park has Grade 1 English Heritage status and hosts a number of cultural events throughout the year. Its neighbour Princes Park is equally as beautiful, and both parks are perfect for invigorating walks in winter as well as restful lounges by the lake in the summer.
12 How to find Philharmonic Rise From the East Follow the M62 westbound continuing forward onto the A5080 at the motorway s ends, following signs for City Centre, Birkenhead. Continue for approximately 3 miles before turning left at traffic lights following sings for Toxteth. In approximately half a mile turn right onto Myrtle Street then left at T-junction onto A5039 then right onto Falkner Street. From the South/North Head north/south on M6, leaving the motorway at junction 21A to join the M62, following signs for Liverpool, Southport M57, Warrington (north). Continue ahead onto the A5080 at the motorway s ends, following signs for City Centre, Birkenhead. Continue for approximately 3 miles before turning left at traffic lights following sings for Toxteth.
