3 Sheet 2 Series RU No Function and application field The explosion-proof boxes of SSX, BPG / BPGC, ZAG, HVJB, SSXU, BPGU / BPGCU, ZAGU series with explosion protection marking according to appendix on form No (hereafter referred to as boxes ) are designed for connection and switching of electric circuits and as housings for deployment of various components. The application field is different explosion hazard zones of premises and outdoor installations in accordance with the assigned explosion protection marking, requirements of GOST IEC and Industry Safety Rules regulating the application of this equipment in explosion hazard zones. 2 Basic specifications 2.1 Basic specifications are detailed in Table 1. KG, Germany) 3 Description of design and explosion protection means 3.1 SSX / SSXU boxes are a housing with a cap which is attached using screws (four screws for standard sizes 45, 64, 66, 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 3, 4, 5; eight screws for standard sizes 6. 7, 8). Box caps of standard sizes 0, 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 225 are equipped with hinges and a slot for lock tag. A silicone gasket is installed between the housing and the cap. Terminal clamps are installed inside the box on a DIN rail / DIN rails. The maximum possible quantity of DIN rails is five for 7 and 8 standard size boxes; four for 5 and 6 standard size boxes, three for 1.5, 2, 3, 4 size boxes, two for 0.5 and 1 standard size boxes, and one for other size boxes. Cable inlets and/or stopping boxes are installed on side surfaces of the housing. There is an internal and external earthing terminal. Eyes for vertical attachment of boxes to the wall are welded to the rear surface of the housing. SSX series boxes designed for use in the range of -50 C to +80 C can be manufactured with a sight glass in the cap. BPG / BPGC / BPGU / BPGCU series boxes are a housing with a cap which is attached using recessed screws (four screws for standard sizes 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12, 13, 13.6, 15; six screws for standard sizes 5, 11, 14). A silicone gasket is installed between the housing and the cap. A copper earthing bus connected to the external and internal earthing terminal can be optionally installed inside the housing. 9 Sheet 8 Series RU No quantity of DIN rails is three for boxes of standard size 15, two for boxes of standard sizes 12, 13, 13.5, 14 and one for other size boxes. Cable inlets and/or stopping boxes are installed on side surfaces of the housing. The built-in components of BPG / BPGC / BPGU / BPGCU series boxes are equipped with insulation with limit 100 C minimum for class T6 / T85 C and 130 C minimum (or they are ceramics) for T4 /T100 C. ZAG / ZAGU series boxes are a housing with a cap which is attached using four recessed screws. The housing and the cap are cast in aluminium alloy ASil2 (its Russian equivalent is casting alloy AK7 according to GOST ). A silicone gasket is installed between the housing and the cap. Terminal clamps are installed inside the box on a DIN rail / DIN rails (except standard sizes 2, 3 and 4 where terminals are attached on the inside of the housing). The maximum possible quantity of DIN rails is three for boxes of standard sizes 15, 16, 21, two for boxes of standard sizes 12, 13, and one for boxes of standard sizes 6, 7, 8, 9, 9/9, 10. Cable inlets and/or stopping boxes are installed on side surfaces of the housing. There is an internal and external earthing terminal. ZAG / ZAGU series boxes designed for use in the range of s from -60 C to +90 C can be manufactured with a 4 mm thick sight glass in the cap. HVJB box design is a metal housing with internal guides and with a hinged cap (300 mm deep boxes SX7 and SX8) made of 316L (EN ) stainless steel (its Russian equivalent is 03Х17Н14М3 steel according to GOST ). A silicone gasket is installed between the housing and the cap. Up to four copper buses can be installed inside the housing for conductor connection. Buses on insulators can provide connection of two cables per phase, one cable per phase, or combination depending on the layout. The cables are connected using corrugated lugs which are clamped between the buses. There is an internal and external earthing terminal.
