1 Room ressure monitor Product descrition Functional descrition Performance features Product descrition For use as a room ressure controller for rooms in which constant air ressure must be maintained. Clean rooms or laboratories must be maintained in a state of constant ositive or negative ressure relative to neighbouring rooms (e.g. corridor). Deending on the area of alication, the infi ltration or leakage of contaminated or imure air with excess levels of dust is thus avoided. P00-L--W-2 P00 is suitable for monitoring the required negative or ositive room ressure and signals when the setoint that is to be monitored is exceeded or underrun. The setoint is defi ned via the digital inuts, by rogramming via the service module or otionally via the LON network. The following confi gurations are available: Differential ressure measurement with status dislay (red/green) and alarm acknowledgement as well as two otential-free contacts for threshold monitoring (otional) Differential ressure measurement with status dislay (red/green) and alarm acknowledgement and numerical dislay of the the room ressure as well as two otential-free contacts for threshold monitoring(otional) In addition to the digital dislay, an external dislay can be connected as a secondary dislay. Functional descrition LON, FTT-0A P00-L--A-2 icrorocessor contolled monitoring and alarm system for rooms maintained at constant ressure. A high-seed control algorithm comares the setoint value with the room ressure measured by the static differential ressure sensor and signals an alarm when the ressure is exceeded or underrun. The setoints that are to be monitored are freely rogrammable and are saved mains voltage failure-safe in the EEPRO. P00 uses a secial algorithm to automatically recognize the oening of doors and windows and automatically extends the alarm delay time by a rogrammable time eriod (default = 0 sec). If, for examle, the door is shut again within this time eriod, monitoring begins again only after the door has been closed. This novel monitoring concet devised by SCHNEIDER reduces false alarms caused by external infl uences (doors, windows, etc.) and thus signifi cantly increases oerating safety. The SCHNEIDER P00 can be used for redundant monitoring of an existing room ressure controller (e.g. the SCHNEIDER CRP room ressure controller). During threshold monitoring, the otential-free contacts signal the uer and lower thresholds. The P room ressure controller can be connected to the building services management system (BS) via the otional LON interface, whereby all relevant data and information are available. 2 Room ressure monitor Functional descrition Programming Programming of the setoints and retrieval of the actual value is done via the service module SV00, lato or LON network. LON network (otional) Programming of the setoints and the actual values are available via the LON network as standard variables (SNVT). alfunctions (e.g. room ressure thresholds exceeded/underrun) are recognized and signalled via the LON network. The LON network offers maximum fl exibility and safety. The connection to the building management system (BS) enables comlete ventilation control and monitoring of all laboratories as well as remote maintenance of the LabSystem roduct range. LON Standard Network Variable Tye (SNVT) LONark secifi cations are fulfi lled, which ensures easy connection of different subsections. LON functionality can be easily retrofi tted in all SCHNEIDER roducts at any time. Building services management system The central comuter balances the entire ventilation requirements of the building and can also check all room ressure controllers for lausibility. This concet ensures a very high safety standard for the user. The building management system can be integrated anywhere in the LON network. All actual, setoint, alarm and threshold values are available via the otional LON interface and can be integrated in the building services management system. The available control levels are shown in Diagram and Table. -oint, 2-oint or 3-oint oeration (setoints to 3) can easily be imlemented by direct activation of the digital inuts. For air lock ressure controllers, ositive and negative room ressure setoints can be monitored with a suitable differential ressure transmitter (± 50 ascal or - 80 to + 20 ascal). Alarm thresholds Two indeendent alarm thresholds can be rogrammed with any alarm values within the range ± 30 Pascal. Alarm threshold affects relay and alarm threshold 2 affects relay 2. If the corresonding relay dros out, the alarm threshold is exceeded or underrun and the alarm status is signalled. The alarm thresholds always relate to the room ressure setoint that is currently to be regulated. Examle: Alarm threshold = + 5 Pascal Alarm threshold 2 = - 3 Pascal Setoint = + 20 Pascal Setoint 2 = - 5 Pascal At room ressure control setoint (+20 ascal), alarm threshold (relay dros out) is exceeded or underrun and signalled at > +25 ascal and alarm threshold 2 (relay 2 dros out) at < +7 Pascal). At room ressure control setoint 2 (-5 Pascal), alarm threshold (relay dros out) is exceeded or underrun and signalled at < -0 ascal and alarm threshold 2 (relay 2 dros out) at > -8 ascal. Alarm delay time The alarm delay time is freely rogrammable from s. The alarm status must be active for at least this reset time eriod in order for the alarm to be activated. This delay reduces false alarms, e.g. when the duct system is unstable. Delay P/CRP (door recognition) An additional internal delay eriod of s is started when the differential ressure transmitter detects a sudden change in ressure (e.g. when a door or window is oened). Room ressure control stos and is only started again after this delay eriod has elased. This revents false alarms caused by ressure changes when a room is entered. The time taken to oen and close a door when the room is entered quickly is less than 0 s. That means that with a P/CRP delay of e.g. 5 s sudden ressure changes are not signalled within this time. 4 Room ressure monitor Room lan Room ressure control of master/slave regulated rooms Room lan shows a variable volume fl ow controller (VAV) for the room suly air, which is activated by a thermal element, for examle. Activation via the building services management system (BS) is also ossible. The room suly air and room exhaust air volume fl ow controllers are connected in master/slave oerating mode, i.e. the room exhaust air follows the room suly air to ensure a constant negative ressure. dp + - P Floor (+) = overressure The P00 room ressure controller monitors the rogrammable negative room ressure (-) redundantly, e.g. - 5 a and signals when the value that is to be maintained is exceeded or underrun. The oening and closing of doors within < 0 sec (rogrammable from s) is ignored and does not result in malfunction messages. VAV-A Laboratory (-) = underressure Room suly air (variabel) Room exhaust air (variabel) VAV-A An otional LON connection makes the room ressure actual value as well as alarm and status messages available to the building management system via standard network variables (SNVT). T aster/slave The P00 room ressure controller can otionally monitor room negative or ositive ressure. Of course, the volume fl ow for the room suly air can also be rovided in a 2-stage oerating mode (daytime/night-time oeration). Laboratories are generally maintained at negative ressure, which revents the escae of contaminants from the laboratory. The P00 static differential ressure transmitter measures the difference between the corridor (+) and the laboratory (-) and generates the actual value signal for the numeric ressure dislay (e.g. -5 a). Room lan 2 Room ressure control of laboratories Room lan 2 shows the connection of u to 6 fume hoods with a sash-deendent FC500 fume hood controller. All fume hood controllers are connected to one another and to the building services management system via the LON network. The room suly air and the additional room exhaust air is variably regulated. Room air relacement is maintained at a constant rate, indeendent of the fume hood exhaust air, so that negative room ressure is guaranteed in all oerating conditions. The P00 room ressure controller monitors the rogrammed negative room ressure (-) redundantly, e.g. -5 a and maintains it at a constant level. The oening and closing of doors within < 0 s (rogrammable from s) is ignored and does not result in malfunction messages. An otional LON connection makes the room ressure actual value as well as alarm and status messages available to the building management system via standard network variables (SNVT).
