MASTER PLAN FOCUS AREAS
MASTER PLAN FOCUS AREAS This plan is meant to be a living, flexible document that will guide community decision-making and investment of resources for Lakeside Chautauqua over the next 15 to 20 years. 15
FOCUS AREAS CONCEPT PLANS SOUTH LAKESIDE & CULTURAL ARTS CAMPUS 2. CHAUTAUQUA CORRIDOR 3. RECREATION & WELLNESS CAMPUS 4. DOWNTOWN 5. LAKEFRONT & CENTRAL PARK 16

1. SOUTH LAKESIDE & CULTURAL ARTS CAMPUS Love the new vision for the Welcome Center! Much more intuitive & inviting! This is Lakeside s front door... integrating welcome & history at entrance makes good sense. It s the face of Lakeside and will invite people in. We need to address the gate appearance and first impression to connect with the local community to express openness. 18
1. SOUTH LAKESIDE & CULTURAL ARTS CAMPUS SIGNATURE STREETSCAPE 163 OUTDOOR AMPHITHEATER ADDITION & AUDITORIUM RENOVATED SCHOOLHOUSE 7TH ST PLAZA PARKING ALONG 7TH ST PARK SPACE & ADDED TRAILS N 19
1. SOUTH LAKESIDE & CULTURAL ARTS CAMPUS Expand the Fine Arts Center - music, art, sculpture. This area has needed attention for years. There is so much potential here for culture and arts. Need improved/additional cultural arts space, lecture halls and meeting space. Love that the outdoor space/ amphitheater creates space for entire family. More ambitious programming for all ages 20

2. CHAUTAUQUA CORRIDOR South Auditorium is one of the most used buildings in Lakeside. It should be renovated for better use. Enhanced South Auditorium entrance - very nice! Get rid of the current additions - they are eyesores. Up-to-date youth housing facilities for camps and conferences to promote Lakeside. CENTRAL ST WALNUT ST 5TH ST Preserve, restore, and maintain our historic buildings. 26

3. RECREATION & WELLNESS CAMPUS Pickleball courts sound like a great idea, as do restrooms in the area of the tennis campus. A place where you can park the car and walk, talk, bike, hike, swim, learn, and burn the stress away. Space for restaurant/cafe! 6TH ST PEACH ST VINE ST Any opportunity to re-purpose a building to be more functional, fun, or family friendly is the best way to go. 31
