11 Vienna North Hospital high tech meets high touch Smart hospital - the Viennese model Vienna North Hospital is an important step in reconstructing the Viennese hospital landscape. The hospital will be one of seven specialized hospitals in Vienna. The new hospital provides a light flooded atmosphere as well as an optimal solution for the workflow and organizational processes. The design combines the advantages of a pavilion-type hospital with those of a central hospital. The modular expandability ensures the state of the art for many years. 11

12 Vienna North Hospital high tech meets high touch The invitingly shaped foyer area featuring a spacious piazza connects the hospital with the urban fabric while at the same time providing optimal protection against noise. The rooms are designed exclusively as single and twin rooms. Light-flooded atriums, roof gardens and extensive green spaces combine to make the hospital an oasis of well-being for patients and employees alike. The landscape design unites the ideas of well-being, healing, growth and recovery in a holistic overall concept. 12

28 Hospital Südspidol D Spidol vun de Leit fir de Leit green hospital Under the leadership of Albert Wimmer ZT-GmbH the bidding consortium made up of Albert Wimmer ZT-GmbH / Architects Collective ZT GmbH as well as Rambøll for construction and building service and Martha Schwartz Partners Ltd. for landscape architecture and landscape design, known as HEALTH TEAM EUROPE, has been concluded with a general contractor's agreement. The concept for the new construction of the hospital Südspidol in Esch/Alzette in Luxembourg consequently follows the campus idea and combines the advantages of an organized structure in a human scale and the foundation of a center to increase efficiency and to optimize the routes through the hospital. 28

Each building structure, though connected with other parts of the hospital, is a system in itself with a specific aura. 29
