46 Work Zone Safety Awareness IN CONNECTICUT Speeding fines are doubled in work zones. Since 1998, there have been over 35,000 tickets issued for work zone violations. Connecticut prosecutors will vigorously enforce speeding violations in work zones. Speeding violations may require a court appearance.

52 Lessons learned The use of low profile barrier to increase site line distance Stage revisions at Bridge No. 532, to lesson the impact of proposed AT&T fiber optic cables relocation. 345 KV line conflicts. Utility Relocations through the early breakout project

53 Lessons learned The use of wider lanes at intersections to bypass left turning vehicles. Periodic meetings with Town representatives. The use of Traffic persons to help facilitate traffic movement

54 Lessons learned Stage construction limitations: Contractor was allowed to open up more than 1200 feet of work area to stay on schedule. Our Lady of Fatima Drainage Outlet: Successful resolution of a critical issue mitigated significant project delays. Meeting with the Wilton Garden Club resulted in modifications to the planting plans.
