You can enter the wood via the gate in the fence if it is open; otherwise walk round to Edinburgh and enter using the steps. Park here or in the Moorhen (public) car park. The site is reached by taking the tow path as far as the cattle bridge. TL Parndon Moat Marsh Meet by the reserve sign and steps on the roadside verge opposite (near the outdoor pursuits centre), Harlow. Park in Moorhen (public) car park or small car park behind the station (free for 2 hours at weekends). TL (site) We usually meet at the cross-rides in the middle of the wood. You can park on the verge along Latton Common and walk up the Common. Once inside the wood beyond the pond follow the trail markers. Alternatively take the second track off the after the roundabout just before the Shell filling station. We can open the gate at the entrance to the wood. TL Meet at the gate (somewhat battered) on the western edge of the wood off the cycle track which runs between the House and the Stow. You can park on the old garage site off Momples (runs between First Avenue and ) between the Ladyshot estate and where the cycle track crosses close to the Burgoyne shopping hatch with the Purple Emperor pub. The gate is a ~50m walk down the cycle track south in the direction of the House. Mark Hall Wood Aldi Stow Hse 3 of 6

4 Netteswell Plantation OS Grid Ref. TL We generally meet at the timber bridge across the Toddbrook in the middle of the site, some 120m east along the footpath from the cycle track bridge across the brook. If you park at the Water Gardens by ASDA take the cycle track via the underpass towards the wood. Alternatively park in Stony Wood at the end of Westfield: go through the gate and follow the cycle track down the hill; take the footpath which veers off to the right to reach the timber bridge directly. Parndon Lock Meadows Water Gardens car park Cycle track Depending on the work location meet either at the footbridge and ford over the Old Stort on Cat just off or the footbridge over the Navigation at the western end of Parndon Moat Marsh. This can also be accessed on foot from the Moorhen via the towpath, or from Parndon Mill please do not park at the Mill. Netteswell Plantation Timber bridge A1019 Velizy Av. 5 Vicarage Wood OS Grid Ref. TL Vicarage Wood Meet by the garages at the side of Adingtons block of flats, which is at one corner of the Halling Hill estate road. If we can open the gate there is parking next to the wood. Otherwise it is a case finding space in nearby roads, or in one of the Stow car parks. The best place may be on Commonfields, off the southern extension of School, and walking through. School Common fields Halling Hill Adingtons Maddox Aldi Stow Hse Other Sites Carters Mead Grid Ref. TL Directions: from house roundabout (junction with Second ) turn into Potter. Take second right, Carters Mead. Turn left and then left again into cul- de-sac just past some bungalows in the middle of a square. The site is accessed through a gate and short path between houses and gardens (nos. 264 & 265). House Second Gate Keeper Carters Mead Carters Mead Wildlife Garden Potter Junction 7 Harlow Common Rd Dicks Pond Grid Ref. TL Directions: meet on the verge just east of the old Harlow Council nursery on Gilden, Old Harlow. From the roundabout by Mark Hall School, take the B183 signed Hatfield Heath.
