4 Project Description and Scope Contractor will provide annual fire suppression system inspection services to be conducted at surface and underground locations. Annual inspection of all hand-held, portable fire extinguishers on property (approximately 250), annual inspection of hazardous waste locker (Ansul I-101System), and periodic maintenance on out-of-service hand-held fire extinguishers for a period of one year on an on a as needed basis. The Scope of Work will include the following: Surface Facility & Equipment: IT Network Fire Suppression System Inspection & Maintenance Surface Lab Fire Suppression System Inspection & Maintenance Hazard Waste Containment Building Fire Suppression System Inspection & Maintenance 4

6 Key RFQ Guidelines Questions not asked today must be ed to by the posted deadline. Questions and written responses will be published on the project webpage: No other communication with SDSTA staff regarding this RFQ is allowed prior to the selection process. Today s presentation will be posted on the project webpage noted above, along with any addenda, updates, notices, changes, etc. Please note any issues with or exceptions to the draft contract (or any other RFQ language) in your proposal. Submit proposals by to mbaumann@sanfordlab.org. Proposals will be evaluated according to the criteria outlined in Section 4. SDSTA may select one contractor, or invite a short list of candidates to respond to prepared questions during a scheduled on-site presentation. 6
