1 May 23, 2007 ADDENDUM 1 TO ALL BIDDERS: Reference: Inspection Fire Alarms Dated: May 10, 2007 Commodity: Fire Alarm Maintenance & Inspection Delivery To: Longwood University 201 High Street Farmville, Virginia Bid Due: June 4, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. local time As a result of the prebid conference held on May 23 rd at Longwood University, the following clarifications and changes follow: 1. Reference page 5, Section III, #1 Please delete the last sentence All parts shall be furnished to Longwood University at actual Contractor s cost. Contractor s invoices shall be made available to the University on request. 2. Deficiencies found during inspections and testing, actions shall be reported promptly to the Director of Facilities or his represented that will approve corrective work. Contractor shall submit a written proposal to include the standard rates for labor including overtime, materials markup, and other factors on which repair costs are based., Corrective work by the Contractor shall be quoted and billed separately from this Contract. Longwood University reserves the right to competitively bid repairs. 3. Please add the following to the pricing schedule: NEW PRICING SCHEDULE ATTACHED: Longwood University Alumni Bed and Breakfast New Student Recreation Building 4. REPLACE PAGE 19 with the attached adding hourly rates for a Repair Technician and a Laborer. 5. All parts used to repair fire alarms shall be billed at your cost and a percentage. Percentage shall be stated on the pricing schedule. Invoices shall be made available to the University upon request. 6. All fire alarm inspection reports should be sent electronically to Tommy England, englandtl@longwood.edu and a copy sent to Dan Dillon, dillonjd@longwood.edu.
