1 CONTRACT DOCUMENTS ADDENDUM No. 1 April 25, 2016 University of Utah EAE remodel of Building 72 Project No This Addendum forms a part of the Contract Documents and modifies the original Bidding Documents dated April 11, 2016, as noted below. The Contractor shall acknowledge receipt of this Addendum on their proposal form. Failure to do so may subject Bidder to disqualification. Electrical Addendum Drawings 1. General: Room numbers have changed to match architect sheets. Refer to architectural set for room numbers in addendum. 2. ED101 a. All light fixtures on level 1 shall not be demolished but shall remain. 3. ED110 a. Clarification: all power, data within open space shall be demolished on level 2. At all existing floor boxes cabling shall be demolished and boxes shall be abandoned. b. Clarification: all removed light fixtures shall be demolished and disposed of in a proper manner by the contractor. 4. ED111 a. Demolish existing light switch in hallway along grid line 16. b. Demolish existing bank of switches except for switches that controls skylight cove fixtures that are to remain. c. Provide new faceplate that match the new electrical devices for all existing devices in Office 234, Office 238, Office 229 and Women s 200D. d. Clarification: all removed light fixtures shall be demolished and disposed of in a proper manner by the contractor. 5. EP100

6 a. In Chiller Room 100M, provide 120v power from panel E for new fire alarm device. b. On far south west corner provide SPD, see EP601 below for additional details. 6. EP101 a. Provide 120V power to new Air Sampling Detection controller in server room 206 from panel I. b. Provide new panel N in server room 202 on west wall and south end of west wall. c. Route 120v power from panel F to 2 junction boxes in Office 234 and Office 229 for VAV boxes. d. Provide new poke through box PT2 lecture area near other new poke through box PT2 route one 120v circuit to new panel board N. e. Provide switch tied to disposal receptacle to switch receptacle on/off above counter. f. Provide data drop with receptacle on west wall of break room 127 for flat screen TV. All new electrical devices on wall shall be at 4 ft. g. Provide additional receptacle in flat screen recessed box in undergraduate room 201, and circuit to panel N. h. All receptacles and poke thrus between grid lines 6 and 9.8 shall be route/powered from new Panel N in located in server room. i. Provide 120v power to Lighting Control Panel in server room from panel N. j. Remove all poke thrus in graduate students 128 that provide power and data for desks. Provide two quad receptacles and 2 data drops on wall aligned with desks where poke thrus are removed. Windows will be removed from project. k. Remove ADA button, junction box and circuit at Vestibule 200E. l. Provide additional ADA button tied to same junction box at north entry hallway interior door. m. Provide 2 ADA buttons at North entry exterior door with power to panel I. 7. EP601 a. All AC devices do not require a starter. b. All FC devices do not require a breaker, they are tied to the applicable AC units. c. Clarification: PT2 shall be a 4 gang poke-thru. d. Clarification: all data drops to student areas shall have 6 jacks by others. e. New SPD, feed from existing switchboard GE, CCB Power Panel, with new 60A/3P. Provide SPD, GE type: TME-120Y-065-WMN. Provide 1.25 conduit with (4) #4, (1)#8 Gnd approximately 10ft. Feed SPD with 60A, 3P breaker in existing switchboard type GE, CCB Power Panel, 65kAIC. f. Provide new panelboard N. Panelboard shall be recessed, GE, type NLAB, 100A, 120/208v, 3 phase, 4 wire, 10kAIC, 200% neutral panelboard with (44) 20A 1P, (3) 20A 2P & (2) 30A 2P breakers. Panelboard shall be fed with 100A, 3P breaker in

7 existing switchboard type GE, CCB Power Panel, 65kAIC, with 2.5 conduit with (4)#1/0, and (1)#6. 8. EP602 a. Provide all required mounting hardware in existing panelboards for breakers. 9. EL100 a. All lighting and controls in all conference room removed from project. b. General note: provide un-switched hot to all emergency fixtures for emergency battery packs. 10. EL101 a. Provide emergency battery packs for all emergency fixtures and remove circuiting to panel E. b. Near grid line 2 in hallway, provide new switch and junction box as required for existing skylight cove light circuit, match faceplate with new face plate devices. c. Clarification: LCP located in Server room. d. General note: Provide un-switched hot to all emergency fixtures for emergency battery packs. e. Provide photo cell in break room/play 290 and vestibule 200E to dim all fixtures in space with daylighting. f. The four windows removed on the south end, T-2P fixture changed to T-2, no photocell required and no programming to dim fixture. g. Light fixtures in Office 234 shall be suspended from structure, and fixtures changed to T-4P. h. All fixtures changed to T-4P in the following rooms: 201, 205, 217, 221, 222, 226, 11. EL601 a. Provide Emergency battery packs for all emergency fixtures in lieu of emergency transfers. b. HX-2 & HX-2E, Fixtures shall be long for each leg, amounting to approximately 4 run fixture. c. T-2E changed to T-2EP and requires an integral photocell with fixture. d. CM fixtures approved manufactures, Prudential ltg and Alera. e. D-2, D-2E fixtures approved manufactures, Wila and Contech Ltg. f. D-6 fixture approved manufactures, Portfolio, Juno, Cree and Contech Ltg. g. EX-1, EX-2 fixtures approved manufacture, Isolite. h. All HX and W fixtures approved manufactures, ALW and Nulite. i. PC-1 fixtures approved manufactures, Nanoled. j. All T fixtures approved manufactures, Metalux, Columbia Ltg and Cree. k. New fixture T-4P, same as T-4 but with integral photocell. 12. EL602

8 a. Detail 3, clarification provide photocell daisy chained in zone e, a & f to dim fixtures in associated zone with daylighting, as shown on lighting plans. b. Detail 4, No timed switching required. c. Clarification detail 1, sensors shall be vacancy sensors. d. Clarification: see HX-2/HX-2E fixture diagram below. 13. EY101 (see attached) a. Add conduit and wire connections to electric hardware on doors 101A, 114A, 123A, 128A, remote console located at reception desk, and power supplies shall be by division 26. b. All horn/strobes shall be speaker/strobes and compatible with existing system, riser to similarly reflect. c. Provide annunciator panel at Vestibule 200E on north wall, confirm location with Architect. d. Remove all beam detection, provide air sampling system for skylight area with poke through detectors every 25 along west side skylight gyp board wall. Position height as close to skylight as possible. On same sampling line provide poke through detectors in east corridor along offices every 25, home run sampling lines to server room 202. Place new VESDA Laser Plus unit controller in server room 202 on north wall adjacent to column. Provide sampling line west of skylight with poke throughs every 25 into corridor space. Provide a sampling line on south end of building on the west sides of skylight with poke throughs every 25 into skylight space. All sampling lines shall be painted to match wall/ceiling space paint. Provide two monitor modules at VESDA controller and tie into existing addressable fire alarm loop. Air sampling system added to riser. e. Provide smoke detectors through all corridors in lobby, undergraduate, lecture area, and graduate student area every on center. f. Provide monitor module to monitor new fire extinguishers tied into existing fire alarm system at north entry s small nook and at grid line 10-K on column.

9 g. Provide control module at each new fan coil to switch off upon smoke detection within level 2 space. h. Provide rough in for ceiling mount cameras at south door near grid line 14.5 J, two in vestibule 200E aimed for entrance and exit, and two in north entry 143 aimed for entrance and exit. Riser to reflect rough in. i. At each door with a card reader provide.75" conduit and required wiring for electrified hardware back to access control panel. Coordinate rough-in to hinge or handle side with approved door hardware submittal prior to rough-in. 14. EY601 (see attached) a. CCTV riser added to show rough in provided only and all homeruns routed back to Server Room on Level 2 b. Detail 2, adjusted to show power supply and controller required..75 conduit from door electrified hinge or strike to junction box near door and a 1 conduit homerun to elec room 117A on level one. c. Detail 1, adjusted to show speaker/strobes and air sampling system. 15. EJ001 a. Detail 3: i. Change size of conduit between CP1 and the monitor back box to 1.5. ii. PTAV changed to CP2 to match sheet EJ101. b. General Sheet Notes: Delete note # EJ101 a. Relocate and add masking speakers in Level 2, Area A as shown on sheet. 17. TA001 a. Detail 2: Change connections to Extron DTP T UWP 232 D. b. Detail 3: Remove the VSW VGA switcher and add a DRX receiver. c. AV Systems Equipment List: i. Add with Extron DTP T UWP 232 D to CP2 block ii. Delete VSW VGA switcher iii. Add a DRX twisted pair digital video receiver. Acceptable type is Extron DTP HDMI 4K 230 Rx. d.
