7 Planning & Policy Guidance Minneapolis Warehouse District Designation Study In addition to improving aging infrastructure, a full reconstruction Prepared by: City of Minneapolis Department of Community Planning & Economic Development Approved by the Minneapolis City Council April 16, 2010 provides an opportunity to design streets in the area to better support existing and North Loop Small Area Plan (2009) 700 block of First Street North, Source: Minnesota Historical Society Prepared for the Minneapolis Heritage Preservation Commission Minneapolis, MN future users of the corridor. The 2009 Access Minneapolis Transportation Plan, and the 2016 Complete Streets Complete Streets Policy (2016) Project By City of Minneapolis Community Planning & Economic Development (CPED) Planning Division October 28, 2009 Local and Federal Historic District Designations Policy provide guidance for allocating space within the public right of way with Design respect to people walking, biking, taking C i t y w i d e A c t i o n P l a n transit, and driving. The Warehouse District Heritage Street Plan and North Loop Small Area Plan provide additional ADA CITY OF MINNEAPOLIS Warehouse District Heritage Street Plan recommendations for how streets within A C C E S SMINNEAPOLIS Ten-Year Transportation Action Plan Standards the project area could be utilized. Finally, State Aid the project also lies within multiple historically designated areas that each have their own implementation criteria.
