2 Tools Needed INSTALLATION Tools and Parts Gather the requred tools and parts before startng nstallaton. Read and follow the nstructons provded wth any tools lsted here. Measurng tape Drll Pencl 5/64" (2 mm) drll bt T10 TORX tscrewdrver Parts Suppled All of the followng parts are provded, but not all parts wll be used. The cutout openng sze wll determne whch parts you wll use. See chart below parts lst to see whch parts are used for each nstallaton. A B REQUIREMENTS Locat on Requ rements The mcrowave oven may be located n a cabnet, and/or above a bult-n oven, or below the counter and/or below a non-vented cooktop. Check the openng where the mcrowave oven wll be nstalled. The locaton must provde: Wood cabnetry. Cutout openng that s plumb and square. See "Mnmum Cutout Dmensons" n "Mnmum Dmensons" secton. Cutout floor that s sold, level and flush wth bottom of cabnet cutout. Support for weght of at least 150 Ibs (68 kg), whch ncludes mcrowave oven and tems placed nsde. Grounded electrcal outlet. See "Electrcal Requrements" secton. Mnmum nstallaton clearances for nstallaton locaton. See "Mnmum Dmensons" secton. Complete enclosure around the recessed porton of the mcrowave oven.? F A. 5 Electr ca l Requ rements GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS Plug nto a grounded Do not remove Electrcal Do not use an adapter. Shock Hazard 3 prong outlet. ground prong. Do not use an extenson cord. Falure to follow these nstructons can result n death, fre, or electrcal shock. Observe all governng Requred: codes and ordnances. A 120 volt, 60 Hz, AC only, 15- or 20-amp electrcal supply wth a fuse or crcut breaker. Recommended: A tme-delay fuse or tme-delay crcut breaker. A separate crcut servng only ths mcrowave oven. [] For all cord connected applances: The mcrowave oven must be grounded. In the event of an electrcal short crcut, groundng reduces the rsk of electrc shock by provdng an escape wre for the electrc current. The mcrowave oven s equpped wth a cord havng a groundng wre wth a groundng plug. The plug must be plugged nto an outlet that s properly nstalled and grounded. WARNING: Improper use of the groundng plug can result n a rsk of electrc shock. Consult a qualfed electrcan or servceman f the groundng nstructons are not completely understood, or f doubt exsts as to whether the mcrowave oven s properly grounded. Do not use an extenson cord. If the power supply cord s too short, have a qualfed electrcan or servceman nstall an outlet near the mcrowave oven. SAVE THESE NSTRUCTONS

6 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Install the Mcrowave Oven (24" [61,0 cm] Installat on Only) Excessve Weght Hazard Use two or more people to move and nstall mcrowave oven. Falure to do so can result n back or other njury. NOTE: For ths mcrowave oven, the door handle may be used for lftng. Do not use any other porton of the control panel, sde brackets, front frame or trm for lftng. 1. Empty mcrowave oven of any loose tems. 2. Usng 2 or more people, slde the mcrowave oven all the way nto the openng. 3. Center the mcrowave oven wthn the openng. Open the mcrowave oven door. Plug nto a grounded Do not remove Electrcal Do not use an adapter. Shock Hazard 3 prong outlet. ground prong. Do not use an extenson cord. Falure to follow these nstructons can result n death, fre, or electrcal shock. 7. Wth the mcrowave oven near the openng, plug the mcrowave oven nto the grounded 3 prong outlet. 8. Replace mcrowave oven n cutout openng. 9. Open the mcrowave oven door. The holes n the door facng frame should algn wth the holes just drlled nto the cabnet. Fasten the mcrowave oven door facng to the cabnet usng four 1" T10 screws. 10. Proceed to "Complete Installaton" secton. A. Mcrowave oven door facng frame B. Cabnet C. 1" TIO screws (4) 4= Mark 4 holes (2 on each sde) n the door facng frame of the mcrowave oven. To avod damage to the frame whle drllng durng the next step, close the door and remove the mcrowave oven. Drll the 4 holes usng 5/64" (2 mm) drll. 6

Falure to do so can result n back or other njury. 1. Empty mcrowave oven of any loose contents. 2. For 30" nstallaton, attach the extenson plate to each of the sde brackets usng two 3/8" T10 screws, as shown. Electrcal Shock Hazard Plug nto a grounded 3 prong outlet. Do not remove ground prong. Do not use an adapter. Do not use an extenson cord. A. 3/8" TIO screws Falure to follow these nstructons can result n death, fre, or electrcal shock. 3= 4= For 27" nstallaton, the sde bracket wll be used wthout the extenson plate. Loosen the mddle and rear screws on each sde of mcrowave oven. The screws are located at the same heght as the door handle. Place the sde bracket over the 2 screws, fttng the screw heads through the keyholes on the bracket. Then slde the sde bracket down so that the upper portons of the keyholes rest on the screws. 7. Wth the mcrowave oven near the openng, plug the mcrowave oven nto the grounded 3 prong outlet. 8. Usng 2 or more people, slde mcrowave oven all the way nto the openng, and center the mcrowave oven wthn the openng. NOTE: The screw holes on the wnged ends of both sde brackets (or extenson plates for 30" nstallaton) must be fully over the wood of the wall or cabnet, as shown. A B C 11' A. Sde bracket B. Usng 5/64" (2 mm) drll, drll plot holes nto the cabnet through the screw holes on the sde brackets (or extenson plates for 30" nstallaton). 10. Install two 1" T10 screws n the plot holes to secure the mcrowave oven n place. NOTE: To ensure proper sde trm panel fttng, do not overtghten screws. 11. Open mcrowave oven door. 5. Tghten screws to secure the sde bracket to the mcrowave oven. 6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 on the other sde of the mcrowave oven.

Sde bracket C.Sde trm panel n place 13. Attach the sde trm panel to the door facng frame usng two 1" T10 screws. I 1= 2. 3= Complete Installat on Install the turntable n the mcrowave oven. Check the operaton of mcrowave oven by placng 1 cup (250 ml) of water on the turntable and programmng cook tme of 1 mnute at 100% power. If the mcrowave oven does not operate: Check that a household fuse has not blown, or a crcut breaker trpped. Replace the fuse or reset the crcut breaker. If the problem contnues, call an electrcan. Check that the power supply cord s plugged nto a grounded 3 prong outlet. See the Use and Care Gude for troubleshootng nformaton. Installaton s now complete. Save these Installaton Instructons for future use. ASSISTANCE Call your authorzed dealer or servce center. When you call, you wll need the mcrowave oven model number and seral number. Both numbers can be found on the model and seral number plate, whch s located behnd the mcrowave oven door on the front frame of the mcrowave oven.
