Devce operaton nstructon (1) Install tempbase.exe software, nsert the tempmate. -M1 logger to the computer va USB port, fnsh USB drver nstallaton drectly. (2) Open tempbase. data management software, after connecton the logger wth your computer, the data nformaton wll be automatcally uploaded. Then you can clck the Logger Settng button to enter the parameter confguraton nterface and confgure the parameters accordng to specfc applcaton. (3) After fnshng confguraton, clck the Save button to save the parameter settng, then t wll open a wndow Parameter Confguraton completed, clck OK and close the nterface. 03. Intal use 03.1 Confguraton operaton Open tempbase.exe software, after connectng the tempmate. -M1 logger wth the computer, the data nformaton wll be automatcally uploaded. Then you can clck the LoggerSettng button to enter parameter confguraton nterface and confgure the parameters accordng to the specfc applcaton. After fnshng the confguraton, clck the Save button to save the parameter settng, then t wll open a wndow Parameter Confguraton completed, clck OK and close the nterface Logger start operaton The tempmate. -M1 supports three start modes (manual start, start rght now, tmng start), the specfc start mode s defned by the parameter settng. Manual start: Press the left key for 4 seconds to start the logger. Start rght now: Immedately start after the tempmate. -M1 s dsconnected wth the computer. Tmng start: tempmate. -M1 starts when the set start tme s reached ( The set start tme needs to be at least one mnute). 2

3 03.3 Pause operaton Double clck left key to enter the pause status. Under pause status, the devce only records tme nstead of temperature recordng. By double clck left key agan, the pause operaton s canceled and set to normal temperature recordng agan Mark operaton Double clck the rght key to mark an operaton. After fnshng markng operaton f quckly pause and pause cancel acton s performed - the current markng can be canceled. (1) For one recordng trp, the devce can support a maxmum of 10 marks. (2) Under status of pause or sensor dsconnected status (when external sensor s confgured), the MARK operaton s dsabled Stop operaton M1 supports two stop modes(stop when reaches the max. record capacty, manual stop), and the specfc stop mode s determned by parameter settng. Stop when reaches the max. record capacty: When record capacty reaches the max. record capacty, the logger wll stop automatcally. Manual stop: The devce only stops when t s manually stopped except f the battery s under 5%. If the recorded data reaches to ts max. capacty, the data wll be overwrtten (depends on the settng). Durng the status of data overwrtng (rng memory), MARK operaton wll not be cleared. Saved marks stll exst. The max. MARK events are stll 10 tmes and every marked data wll be saved wthout clearng durng the transport cycle Vewng operaton Durng tempmate. -M1 s n recordng or stoppng status, nsert the logger to the computer, the data can be vewed by the tempbase. software or the generated PDF report n the USB devce. PDF reports are dfferent f there s an alarm settng: If no alarm settng s programmed, there s no alarm nformaton column and n data table, no alarm color markng, and at the left upper corner, t dsplays PDF n the black rectangle. If the alarm s set as upper/lower alarm, t has an alarm nformaton column, and t has three lnes of nformatons: upper alarm nformaton, standard zone nformaton, lower alarm nformaton. The upper alarm recordng data s dsplayed n red, and the lower alarm data s dsplayed n blue. In the left upper corner, f alarm occurs, the background of the rectangle s red and dsplays ALARM nsde. If no alarm occurs, the background of the rectangle s green and dsplays OK nsde. If the alarm s set as multple zone alarm n the PDF alarm nformaton column, t could have max. sx lnes: upper 3, upper 2,upper 1, standard zone; lower 1, lower 2 the upper alarm recordng data s dsplayed n red, and the lower alarm data s dsplayed n blue. In the left upper corner, f alarm occurs, the background of rectangle s red and dsplays ALARM nsde. If no alarm occurs, the background of rectangle s green and dsplays OK nsde. (1) Under all alarm modes, f data table zone for marked data s ndcated n green. If the recorded ponts are nvald (USB connecton (USB), pause data (PAUSE), sensor falure or sensor s not connected (NC)), then the record markng s gray. And n PDF curve zone, n case of USB data connecton (USB), data pause (PAUSE), sensor falure (NC), all of ther lnes wll be drawn as bold gray dotted lnes. (2) If the tempmate. -M1 s connected to the computer durng the recordng perod, t records no data durng the connecton tme. 3

4 (3) Durng the tempmate. -M1 s connected wth the computer, the M1 s generatng a PDF report dependng on the confguraton: If tempmate. -M1 s stopped, t always generates a report when the M1 s plugged n the USB port If tempmate. -M1 s not stopped, t only generates a PDF when t s enabled n the Logger Setup 03.7 Multple start The tempmate. -M1 supports the functon of contnuous startng after last logger stoppng wthout the need to reconfgure the parameters. 04. Key functon descrpton Left key: Start (restart) tempmate. -M1, menu swtch, pause Rght key: MARK, manual stop 05. Battery management 05.1 Battery level ndcaton Battery level ndcaton Battery capacty 40 % ~ 100 % 20 % ~ 40 % 5 % ~ 20 % (flash) < 5 % When the battery capacty s lower or equal to 10%, please replace the battery mmedately. If the battery capacty s lower than 5%, the tempmate. -M1 wll stop recordng Battery replacement Replacng steps: It s recommended to check the battery status before restartng the logger to ensure that the remanng battery lfe could fnsh the recordng task. The battery can be replaced before you confgure the parameter. After replacement of battery, the user needs to confgure the parameter agan. When the logger s connected to computer under the status of recordng or pause status, t s prohbted to plug out the tempmate. -M1 wthout battery power supply. 4

5 06. LCD dsplay notce Alarm LCD dsplay When LCD dsplay tme s confgured to 15 s, clck left key to actvate the dsplay. If over temperature ncdent occurs, t frstly dsplays alarm nterface for about 1 s, then skps to man nterface automatcally. When dsplay tme s confgured to forever, over temperature alarm occurs permanently. Press left key to skp to man nterface. When dsplay tme s confgured to 0, there s no dsplay avalable. 07.
