2 Hybrid Fex Inverter System Zoned Mix and Match Fexibiity AOU18RLXFZ, AOU24RLXFZ, AOU36FLXFZ Contractors can seect either an 18, 24 or 36,000 BTU outdoor unit combined with wa mounted, compact cassette or sim duct type indoor units. Mix-and-match fexibiity of evaporator type and capacity aows you to choose the indoor unit that best fits the appication, whether it be hidden or showcased. These systems are idea for nursing homes, doctor's offices, condominiums, apartments and residences - any pace where individua cooing or heating is needed. Features Part of the Hacyon Hybrid Fex Inverter (HFI) Line As part of the HFI ine of components, indoor units are compatibe with other HFI outdoor units, meaning mix and match capabiities with fewer components. A New Tri-Zone 24,000 BTU Unit We now have a 2-ton system that provides 3-zone fexibiity. By using connectabe capacity, this system aows up to three 9,000 BTU units. No Branch Boxes or Separation Tube Assembies Whie the 8-zone AOU48RLXFZ mode requires both branch boxes and separation tube assemby kits, the smaer zoned units - AOU18, 24 and 36RLXFZ do not require them. Pricing Compared to Competition Additiona outdoor units provides better matched BTU capacity with indoor units. By better matching the outdoor unit to the indoor capacity a better system vaue is achieved. High Efficiency Systems Up to 18-SEER in efficiency, these units are 22% more efficient than 14-SEER competing muti-zone systems. Why Choose an 18,000 BTU Zoned System? A ower BTU dua zone is often the perfect soution to a comfort need. A consumer shoudn t have to purchase a higher priced arger unit when ony 14 to 18,000 BTU s are needed. Connectabe Our 3 outdoor units provide systems from 14,000 to 39,000 BTU. Some connectabe capacity is provided to aow increased combinations and fexibiity. See chart on page 3 for detais. A indoor units can operate at once, how ever if a the evaporators are caing for cooing or heating at the same time it wi decrease the capacity of each evaporator not to exceed the condenser s capacity. As zones meet desired set point the system s other evaporators increase output up to the evaporator s rated capacity. For exampe: The oad on a 3-bedroom home with a iving room and kitchen downstairs and 3 bedrooms upstairs is 39,000 BTUs (21,000 BTU downstairs and 18,000 BTU upstairs). However the famiy isn t upstairs and downstairs at the same time, therefore not a units wi be running simutaneousy aowing 100% heating or cooing to occupied spaces. This can be achieved by our AOU36RLFXZ outdoor unit. 2

The chart to the right provides guideines for determining fiter sizes. The chart incudes CFM, externa static pressure capabiity and a typica fiter size for each mode. Fiters are sized to keep veocities and static pressure oss ow. This wi insure sufficient static pressure is avaiabe for ductwork, fittings and suppy and return gries. Aternative fiter sizes with equivaent face areas can be used. After deducting fiter oss, avaiabe static pressure vaues are shown. A fibergass fiter is shown in bue to the eft.
