Eectrica requirements Eectrica Shock Hazard Pug into a grounded 3-prong outet. Do not remove ground prong. Do not use an adapter. Faiure to foow these instructions can resut in death, fire, or eectrica shock. If codes permit and a separate grounding wire is used, it is recommended that a quaified eectrician determine that the grounding path is adequate. Check with a quaified eectrician if you are not sure whether the cooktop is propery grounded. Do Not ground to a gas pipe. A 120-vot, 60-Hz, AC-ony, 15-ampere, fused eectrica suppy is required. A time-deay fuse or circuit breaker is recommended. It is recommended that a separate circuit serving ony this appiance be provided. Eectronic ignition systems operate within wide votage imits, but proper grounding and poarity are necessary. In addition to checking that the outet provides 12Gvot power and is correcty grounded, the outet must be checked by a quaified eectrician to see if it is wired with correct poarity. A wiring diagram is provided in the iterature package. Recommended ground method For your persona safety, this appiance must be grounded. This appiance is equipped with a power suppy cord having a 3-prong ground pug. To minimize possibe shock hazard, the cord must be pugged into a mating 3-prong, ground-type outet, grounded in accordance with the Nationa Eectrica Code ANSVNFPA 70- atest edition* and oca codes and ordinances. If a mating outet is not avaiabe, it is the persona responsibiity and obigation of the customer to have a propery grounded, 3-prong outet instaed by a quaified eectrician. &prong outet juppy cord ground-type Figure 1 Copies of the standards isted above may be obtained from: Nationa Fire Protection Association Baterymarch Park Quincy, Massachusetts American Gas Association 1515 Wison Bouevard Arington, Virginia C n The cooktop is equipped for use with NATURAL gas.
