If you cannot exhaust the dryer to the outside, use Exhaust Defector Kit LCK4000 avaiabe from your KitchenAid deaer. Exhaust Systems onger than specified wi: m Accumuate int. ) Shorten the ife of the dryer. m Reduce the performance in ways such as causing onger drying times and increasing the use of energy. The back pressure in any exhaust system used must not exceed 0.6 inches of water coumn measured with an incined manometer at the point that the exhaust system connects to the dryer. For Mobie Home instaation, the dryer must have an outside exhaust. If you exhaust the dryer through the f and the area under your mobie home is encosed, the exhaust system must terminate outsde the encosed area. Extension beyond the encosure wi orevent int and moisture buid-up under the mobie home. There are Exhaust Kits avaiabe that aow you to direct fitered exhaust air inside to conserve energy during the winter months. Whirpoo has a Heat- Humidity Saver Part No which can be used with Whirpoo dryers providing their use does not vioate oca codes. If you use one of these kits, be aware that excessive moisture in the home can cause many probems and that you may see an increase in the time required to dry a oad. Aso, you must reguary cean the fiter to avoid excessive int buid-up which can affect the dryer s performance. An Exhaust Hood shoud ca exhaust duct to prevent exhausted air from returning into dryer. The oute of the hood must be at east 12 inches from the ground or anything ese that may be in the path of the exhaust. A 2% inch outet Exhaust Hood shoud be used with short systems ony. (This outet creates areater back oressure than other ho& types.) Exhaust Hoods with magnetic atches shoud not be used. The Maximum Length of the exhaust system depends upon the type of duct, number of ebows and ype.&f exhaust hood. The maximum enath for both rigid and exibe duct is <hewn in chart. i r- t TO PREVENT LARGE AMOUNTS OF LINT AND MOISTURE FROM ACCUMUATING AND TO MAINTAIN DRYING EFFICIENCY, THIS MACHINE MUST BE EXHAUSTED OUTDOORS. Unobstructed air openings are required for aundry equipment when door is instaed. Coset instaation must be exhausted. Ony recessed instaation with no cabinet or shef above the dryer can be non-exhausted.
