The GA124 and GA244 are designed in Europe, where fue costs are significanty higher and environmenta reguations are more stringent. Manufactured with the patented Buderus GL-180M fexibe cast iron, the sections are tighty joined together and seaed by profied, beveed stee push nippes, ensuring a ong ife. Specia compounds provide a gas-tight sea for safe and efficient operation. And, thanks to the GL-180M cast iron s fexibiity, this boier resists therma shock under conditions of rapid temperature change. Inteigent Heating By Design Buderus GL-180M siicone injected, gray cast iron has exceent corrosion resistance, exceptiona casting characteristics, and 40% greater fexibiity and easticity as we as high therma conductivity. Buderus deveoped the specia substances that are impregnated during the casting process to improve the mechanica properties of cast iron. The graphite precipitates into smaer, modified fakes which produce GL-180M cast iron with 40% greater easticity and a high siicone barrier for corrosion protection. Gray cast iron obtains its superior materia characteristics primariy from a high carbon (graphite) and siicone content. Additiona eements further enhance the properties of the GL-180M. The graphite appears in two different forms in the microstructure: noduar form producing exceent tensie strength and great easticity and graphite fakes producing exceent corrosion resistance against acidic combustion products.
