Description: A. Topic: Fire Department Monthly Update. B. Background/History: On y, the Fire Department presented a comprehensive fire service presentation. At that time the Council directed staff to begin providing comprehensive Monthly Reports regarding department operations. C. Analysis: Figure shows the total calls for service for. Please note that is the call volume for January through ober of this calendar year. 5 Training Conducted: The department completed it s regularly schedule training drills. During these drills the following skills and topics were covered Driver/Operator Training Pump Operations Communications, Firefighter Safety The Department has begun EMT-Basic Training, and Firefighter / Firefighter certification training at the station. This training is being conducted outside of normal training nights and is expected to be completed in the spring of. There is UFD firefighter enrolled in EMT, and UFD firefighters enrolled in Firefighter / courses. Department Staffing Authorized Staffed Variance Chief Deputy Chief Captain Firefighter - Fire Prevention Activities: CERT UFD played a prominent role in the planning and execution of the Northern Utah Community Emergency Response Training (CERT) regional conference for, which was conducted in Ogden in ober. The conference included lecture, networking, and practical scenario evolutions. Department Review: Fire Department Significant Impacts: This report is for informational purposes only.
