7 Forsyth County Office of Environmental Assistance and Protection Air Quality Notes: CMAQ Emission Reductions Calculator January 19, 2017 o HEPN is developing a series of tools to provide technical support and resources for the implementation of the CMAQ Program. o CMAQ project justifications as well as annual reporting require the development of reliable emissions benefit estimates. o This CMAQ Emission Reductions Calculator provides a spreadsheet based tool to assist departments of transportation (DOTs), metropolitan planning organizations (MPOs) and project sponsors to generate emissions benefit information. o The calculator will be released in modules representative of project types most commonly encountered. 8 Winston Salem Urban Area MPO Bicycle and Pedestrian Program Update Greenway Projects The Salem Creek Greenway is now open between Main Street and Vargrave Street after construction of the Salem Creek Connector has progressed sufficiently to allow the re opening of the greenway. of the Long Branch Trail (formerly Innovation Quarter Rail Trail) continues with a proposed completion in summer, of the Cedar Trail Greenway Connector to the Muddy Creek Greenway continues with a proposed completion in winter, of the Waughtown Greenway continues with a proposed completion in summer, Sidewalk Projects The Town of Walkertown recently completed construction of approximately 2,800 linear feet of sidewalk along Darrow Road from Martin Street to Old Hollow Road. The Town of Rural Hall is in the process of acquiring right of way for the Highway 65 sidewalk project, which will add approximately 1,800 linear feet of sidewalk from Runningbrook Lane to Angus Street.
