1 High Rise Studio, Graduate School Spring 2016 Instructor: Seth Riseman & Blake Middleton The project WINTHROP SQUARED is a mixed-use high-rise project located in downtown Boston. The bundled tower design allows the independence of each major program, yet remains the interaction in between, through public/semi public programs taking place at the optimal height. The ground floor design complex indicates the respect for the pedestrians and the city by offering various acessible route from different direction. The ground flexibility is intended to reactive the surrounding neighborhood. 2 Comprehensive Studio Spring 2015 Instructor: Ryan Salvas The BROADWAY BRIDGE project is an application of our previously developed comprehensive building system. The system enables a low energy consuming building that provides high quality indoor comfort. The site design also involves sustainable approaches on stormwater reuse, and by reconnecting the break points Boston Harbor Walk, which encourages pedestrians to join the urban scale recreation route as the same time as interacting with the building. 3 Urbanism Studio Spring 2014 Instructor: Dan Adams The ASSEMBLY SQUARE project is an urban planning assignment. The design intention is to elevate the residential towers while to allow ground floor openness and the fluidity that encouraging people travelling from the site to the water front on the other side train track. Few node elements are anchored in the ground, and become the connector and medium outdoor spaces and the entrances indoor tower lobbies.
