The goal of the study is to transform the entire corridor into a revitalized urban roadway that carefully considers the interconnected relationship between land use and transportation. This relationship is critical to creating real value capture along SH 5 as the Town Center redevelops and as rail transit comes on line. Project Scope: To revitalize the State Highway 5 Corridor into a functional urban thoroughfare that fits its physical setting and preserves aesthetic, historic and environmental resources, while still maintaining mobility and safety. A key element to this will be recognizing the meaningful relationship between transportation and land use.
