These models are designed for permanenet horizontal installation over doorways of heights between.5 and.0 metres or positioned vertically beside the doorway when overdoor space is limited. They can be surface mounted or recessed into a false ceiling. A jet of air from the air curtain prevents cold draughts throught open doorways and increases comfort levels in the proximity of the door whereas the ambient air variant has been specifically designed for cold store applications and entrances to airconditioned buildings to prevent the loss of refrigerated air. The use of a Thermozone 00 air curtain enables the use of floor space close to the doorway and can significantly reduce energy losses giving large savings. The Thermozone 00 range can also be used for industrial heating and drying applications. For wide doorways, several units can be mounted next to each other and regulated with a common thermostat and control panel. The Thermozone 00 series is manufactured in lengths of.0 and.7 metres which can be combined to best cover a particular doorway. For doorways which are fitted with ceiling mounted sliding doors, adaptation sets are available that direct the airflow close to the opening. 2 Thermozone 00 air-curtains are specifically designed to protect and heat the exposed entrances of shopping malls and department stores and will perfectly complement automatic sliding doors and double door entry systems. This H&M store occupies a prime location in the heart of Stockholm. The use of Thermozone 00 air curtains to replace doors in an eight-meter wide entrance has enabled unhindered customer access and improved the potential of this presitgious site. Smaller industry doors are effectively protected by a Thermozone AC/ WAC00. A pleasant and draught-free working environment can be maintained even when the doors are frequently opened. Thermozone 00 can be mounted vertically at the side of an entrance doorway and shielded from shopping carts or smaller trucks using an optional barrier. With the telescope hood between the topmost unit and the ceiling, and a covering hoop between the units, you get an aesthetically pleasing installation. At a loading bay, doors are often open for prolonged periods. Cold draughts can then significantly effect the internal temperature. Thermozone 00 is an excellent complement to gaiters in counteracting draughts and saving energy. At the Golden Gate VIP entrance, at the Stockholm Globe Arena, the red carpet is always rolled out. Every measure has been taken to ensure that guests feel a little extra welcome, including two Thermozone AC00 units to ensure that the welcome is always warm. 6

4 DIMENSIONS 975 / ø 5 ø Thermozone AC / POSITIONING, MOUNTING AND INSTALLATION Different unit lengths ensures coverage of all door width. Installaton in false ceiling. Two towers of vertically mounted, with sideblowing units. Mounting above doorway With the supplied mounting consoles, Thermozone AC/WAC00 units may be fitted in several ways: on the wall, on the ceiling, on a cable ladder, etc. The consoles make it possible to angle the unit for optimal efficiency. They can also be mounted in false ceilings, see sketch nr. Among the hot water heated models, WAC0 and WAC0 are mounted in horizontal postion above the opening. For minimum mounting distance to doorway, see sketch nr for the electrically heated models. The units must not be mounted directly below a power point. For maximum performance the units should cover the whole width of the opening and be fitted as close to the opening as possible. Several units can be mounted next to each other to form a continuous air curtain. Mounting below ceiling-mounted sliding doors When mounting above openings with ceilingmounted sliding doors, a square-shaped air curtain unit cannot be positioned close enough to the opening because of the opening radius of the sliding door. The adaption set AT40/40 is dome-shaped and may therefore be positioned up against the door with the outgoing air stream very close to the opening. Mounting at the side of the opening When space above the doorway is limited, models WAC0V and WAC0V can be mounted vertically, thus creating a side blowing air stream. Mounting plates AVMP00 are mounted between units and between the lowest unit and the floor. For minimum mounting distance to doorway, see sketch nr for the electrically heated models. For maximum performance the units should cover the whole height of the opening and be fitted as close to the opening as possible. Several units can be mounted on top of each other to form a continuous air curtain. Maximum building height for vertical units without structural support, is.5 metres. 65

5 min 00 Connection AC 00 The appliance should be preceded by a triple pole switch with at least mm breaking gap. The connection should be made with a cable type S05VV- U, A05VV-R or similar, through knock outs on the top side of the unit ( x ø8 mm and x ø9 mm). For connection to the supply terminal block, a cable of maximum 6 mm is used. For connection to the control terminal block, a cable of maximum 6 mm is used. For units with electrical heating, power and voltage should be supplied in different connection areas. 6 REGULATION ALTERNATIVES Air curtains without heat : Fan speed regulation When the gate opens and closes, the position limit switch signals on and off. When on, the fan speed is regulated with a suitable fan speed regulator. 7 ACR04 ACR04 / ACR04T AG FRE6 EV00, position limit switch Starts the air curtain or activates a fan speed regulator when the door opens. When the door closes, it shuts the air curtain off or signals to the regulator. ACR04, 4-stage regulator With ACR04, the fan speed can be adjusted in 4 stages to achieve optimal performance and protection at different door heights. The fan is turned off when the door closes. The regulator controls a maximum of 5 7 units. Max input 4 A. Protection class: splashproof design (IP 44). ACR04, 4-stage regulator high/low speed With ACR04, the fan speed can be adjusted in 4 stages to achieve optimal performance and protection at different door heights. One speed is selected for when the gate is open and a lower speed is selected for when the gate is closed. The regulator controls a maximum of 5 7 units. Max input 4 A. Protection class: splash-proof design (IP 44). ACR04T, 4-stage regulator high/low speed with time relay With ACR04T, the fan speed can be adjusted in 4 stages to achieve optimal performance and protection at different door heights. One speed is selected for when the gate is open and a lower speed is selected for when the gate is closed. ACR04T is equipped with a time relay. When the gate is closed, the fan will remain at the selected speed for a desired period. This function is particularly useful when a gate is frequently opened and closed. The regulator controls a maximum of 5 7 units. Max input 4 A. Protection class: splash-proof design (IP 44). AG, Variable fan speed regulator Single-phase thyristor for variable fan speed control and for switching off and on. For surface mounting. Fits in rectangular mounting case. The regulator controls a maximum of units. Max input 5 A. It regulates hot water heated units (WAC0, WAC0, WAC0V, WAC0V) and units without heat (AC0, AC0). Protection class: splash-proof design (IP 44). FRE6, digital variable fan speed regulator The FRE6 has two different regulation programs to control the air curtain. The UT-regulation that is controlled by the door contact, room thermostat and the outdoor temperature - and the IT-regulation that is controlled by the door automation. Regulates a maximum of - units. Max input 6 A. A slave unit must be used with amperage above 6 A. FRE6 regulates hot water heated units (WAC0, WAC0, WAC0V, WAC0V) and electrically heated units (AC08, AC). Protection class: splash-proof design (IP 54). 8 AV0/5 JV0/5 TVV0/5 SD0 TRV0/5 BPV0 VR 0/5, valve set For regulation of water flow to hot water heated air curtains. The valve set consists of the following: AV0/5, stop valve JV0/5, adjustment valve TRV0/5, on/off -way motor valve BPV0, by-pass valve SD0, actuator on/off 0V~ The stop valve (AV0/5) consists of a ball valve which is either open or closed. It is used to turn the water flow off and on. The water flow can be finetuned manually with the adjustment valve (JV0/5). It can also be completely turned off. Through a pressure outlet the flow can be measured. The kv value for JV0 is 0, 5,9 and for JV5 0,7 8,5. The -way motor valve (TRV0/5) consists of an actuator and a housing. When the TRV0/5 is closed, the flow through the by-pass valve is low to ensure presence of hot water in the heating coil. This leads to instant heat supply when needed and some degree of frost protection. Actuator SD0 works on/ off. The valve set is available with two different valve dimensions: VR 0 - DN0 (/4 ) and VR 5 - DN5 ( ). The by-pass valve dimension is DN0 (/8 ). To regulate VR0/5, a suitable thermostat has to be added. TVV0/5, -way regulation valve TVV0 has a pipe dimension of DN0 (/4 ) and TVV5 of DN5 ( ). Pressure class PN6. Maximum pressure MPa (0 bar). 9 00/004 AVMP00 AP00 AB00 AH00 AT40/40 00 and 004, false ceiling grilles There are false ceiling grilles for air intake and discharge available for mounting the air curtain in false ceiling systems. Available in sizes. AVMP00, mounting plates When the units are mounted in a standing position at the side of the door, mounting plates are fitted between units and between the lowest unit and the floor. The mounting plate consists of two parts. The outer one is secured in the floor or at the top of the lower unit. The inner part is mounted on the under side of the unit that is standing on the floor. AP00, collision protection AP00 is mounted on the ground next to a standing air curtain unit to prevent it from being hit by trucks, shopping trolleys and similar. AB00, covering hoop The hoop is fitted between standing units to cover the joint and provide a neat installation. AH00, telescope hood Vertically adjustable (between 50 mm and 0 mm). It is used to cover the space between the ceiling and the top unit of a vertical installation. AT40/40, adaptation set When mounting above openings with ceilingmounted sliding doors, mounting kits are available that position the outgoing air stream close to the opening.
