1 Welcome to the Jericho Reservoir Project Open House is responsible for supplying clean, safe drinking water to over 2.4 million residents in the region. Operating our vast drinking water system with a growing population requires constant upgrades, improvements, maintenance and expansion. To meet the growing demand for drinking water in communities south of the Fraser River, needs to construct a new, above-ground at A Avenue in the Township of Langley. SERVICES AND SOLUTIONS FOR A LIVABLE REGION 1

2 How does water get to your home? and its local governments work together to supply clean, safe drinking water to the region. 1 Watershed Natural Reservoir is responsible for protecting and providing the region s water supply, including: protecting our watersheds, treating and ensuring the quality of our water, supplying water directly to our local governments, and planning for future supply and demand. 3 Ensuring the reliable delivery of clean and safe drinking water to Township of Langley and City of Surrey residents and businesses. Project overview To meet the growing demand for drinking water, needs to construct a new, above ground at A Avenue in the Township of Langley. Phase 1 of the Jericho Reservoir Project includes: An above-ground One above-ground valve chamber and three underground valve chambers Piping that will connect to existing water mains Phase 2 of this project is planned for Project schedule - Phase 1 Now Fall Summer 2017 Fall Summer 2019 PROJECT ACTIVITY Preliminary Design Detailed Design Construction Stakeholder meetings and Second Open House Regular community updates, COMMUNITY first Open House and Community Meetings consultation events, and OUTREACH prior to construction meetings when required 3

12 Preliminary landscape design will carefully select plant species for the new landscaped areas. 13 Proposed plaza design and seating is working with the Township of Langley to develop plans for a feature plaza with seating. The plaza would be located near the southwest corner of the by the water feature. To help shape the proposed plaza, please provide us with your input on what kind of seating and aesthetic features you would like included in the plaza design.
