2 Ongoing Capital Improvement
3 Ellsworth Road Ryan to Germann Roads $3.5 M Germann Rd Ryan Rd Half-street improvements on the west side of Ellsworth Road from Ryan to Germann Roads. The project will include a center turn lane and a sidewalk on the west side. Fulton Homes Half-Street Improvements With the developer to the south completing half-streets to Ryan Rd, the recommended half streets improvements to Germann would improve traffic flow and improve safety conditions by adding a center turn-lane. Drainage and Transportation
4 Ellsworth and Queen Creek Roads Intersection $1.5 M Intersection improvements include continuing the design radius through the intersection to reduce the compound curve at the intersection. This will require the relocation of several telephone poles, traffic signal arm, and ROW acquisition. Safer roadway geometry for motorist. Drainage and Transportation
5 Germann and Sossaman Roads t-grade Intersection Future Germann lignment Germann Road Sossaman Road $1.5K Design and construction of an at-grade crossing of the Union Pacific Railroad at the intersection of Germann and Sossaman Roads. Drainage and Transportation Germann Road is identified as a road of regional significance for east/west traffic. Traffic mitigation and regional connectivity. This would be in partnership with MCDOT and the City of Mesa.
6 Design for Combs Road at UPRR Crossing $175K Design for interim improvements to Combs Road at the intersection of Combs/UPRR/Rittenhouse and Riggs. Drainage and Transportation Riggs Road from Ellsworth to Rittenhouse Roads is currently under design in partnership with MCDOT. The future 2-lane road will need to align with Combs Road. Therefore, additional funding is needed to add this section of Combs Road to the current design scope to ensure Riggs and Combs align for constructability.
7 Traffic Signal- Ocotillo Road and Victoria Blvd. Intersection $250K Design and construction of a new 4-way traffic signal at the intersection of Ocotillo Road and Victoria Blvd. Staff believes this intersection will meet warrants soon with the Victoria Subdivision now building homes. Drainage and Transportation
8 Study: Infrastructure Operations and Maintenance Cost $170K Hire a consultant to conduct a mid and long-term maintenance and operation cost for the Town s infrastructure. Long-term financial planning. Drainage and Transportation
9 Ocotillo Road Crismon Road to 218 th Place $2.5M B Design and Construction of south half-street improvements of Ocotillo Road from just west of Crismon Road to just east of 218 th Street. Ocotillo Road Drainage and Transportation With on-going residential building in this section of Town, south half-street improvements will be needed to mitigate traffic congestions. This could be part of the Scalloped Street ssessment Program.
10 Queen Creek Wash Trail Landscaping $400K C Installation of landscaping, trash cans, and sitting benches along the new trail from Desert Mountain Park to the Crismon Road alignment. Parks, Trails and Open Space These items were not allowed to be part of the federal grant the Town received for Transportation Enhancement and Congestion Mitigation but will be needed to improve and maintain trail aesthetics.
11 Parking Lot Lighting Improvements $150K Install parking lot lights in the north employee parking lot. Security and safety. Town Buildings
12 Design and Phase I of Corporation Yard $1.8M B Design and first Phase of New Corporation Yard to include Utilities, Streets, Parks and Recreation, Fleet, Facilities With 4 years left on the 7 year lease planning needs to start this Fiscal Year to ensure proper placement of facilities when the Town moves to the new site. Design will take months and construction will take months. Town Buildings
13 New Fire/Police Building $2M Municipal Center Complex Design and construction of a new 39,000 square foot fire/police building. Current facilities are not adequate to keep up with needed support for increasing levels of service. Fire Development Fund
14 Increase South Library Parking Lot $200K Design and installation of additional parking spots at the south parking lot of the library. Ocotillo Road. Increase in event attendance for various special events requires additional parking needs. dditionally, parking for Queen Creek Cafe is also needed as the Ocotillo Road project will reduce on site parking.
