The Villa itself is the centerpiece of a historic Chianti estate, one of the largest remaining undivided and in private hands extending over some 200 hectares and including a limited production of olive oil, lumber and wine. The extensive grounds are a combination of woodlands, manicured gardens and countryside lanes. Children have plenty of room to roam and explore. Runners and walkers can likewise explore the nearly endless paths on manageable terrain. The views of surrounding the Chianti countryside -- vineyards, olive groves and woodland -- are beautiful and expansive. While access to and from the villa is easy, you are a brief five minute drive or 20 minute walk to a lively village and 20 minutes to the Ponte Vecchio, the country setting is idyllic. 6 WHAT TO KNOW Full-time staff includes a couple who live in a private apartment in the Villa. Professional chef and wait staff is recommended for groups of 8+. Onsite amenities include AC in all bedrooms, retractable window screens on all First Floor bedroom and bathroom windows. Complimentary WiFi provided. Please note there is not consistent coverage throughout the property. Please discuss your particular connectivity needs before booking. Decor includes family collection of hunting trophies. For the 2018 rental season, a new gym will be constructed in an independent strucutre adjacent to the Villa. Please inquire for further details. Saturday - Saturday rentals only. Arrival time is 4 pm- 5 pm; departure time is 10 am. This is a working estate so there may be some noise and activity in the farm buildings and pathways during the day. Property Brochure describes only areas private to guests of the Villa, except for villa staff and gardeners. There are two additional private residences on the estate, only one can be seen from the edge of landscaped grounds on the far side of the villa and associated outbuildings. Immediately adjacent to the villa is the original 'fattoria' or farm building, currently unused.
