Geen vuur mag aangesteek word op winderige of bergwind dae, al is die Brand Gevaar Indeks aanvaarbaar. Indien die wind opkom gedurende die brand proses, moet daar gepoog word om alle vlamme te blus en die vuur tot die aanvaarbare standaard op te ruim. Brandbane as voldoende en doeltreffend moet gekonstruktureer word, dat die brand area veilig sal wees tydens die brandwerk en oppas tydperk om te verseker dat die brand nie sal versprei op die betrokke eiendom of na aangrensende eiendom nie.
