2 2 WARNINGS Handle with care. Can cause skin or eye irritation. Keep out of reach of children, animals and uninformed persons. Store away from food and feedstuffs in a cool, dry place. Aerial application: Inform all inhabitants of the immediate area to be sprayed and issue the necessary warnings. Do not spray over or allow drift to contaminate water or adjacent areas. Although this remedy has been extensively tested under a large variety of conditions, the registration holder does not warrant that it will be efficacious under all conditions because the action and effect thereof may be affected by factors such as abnormal climatic and storage conditions; quality of dilution water, compatibility with other substances not indicated on the label and the occurrence of resistance of the pest against the remedy concerned as well as by the method, time and accuracy of application. The registration holder furthermore does not accept responsibility for damage to crops, vegetation, the environment or harm to man or animal or for lack of performance of the remedy concerned due to failure of the user to follow the label instructions or to the occurrence of conditions, which could not have been foreseen in terms of the registration. Consult the supplier in the event of any uncertainty. PRECAUTIONS Do not inhale dust or spray mist. Avoid contact with eyes. If skin or eye contact occurs, flush with copious amounts of clean water. Rinse empty container three times with a volume of water equal to at least 10% of that of the content of the container. Add the rinsings to the contents of the spray tank. Destroy empty container and do not use for any other purpose. DIRECTIONS FOR USE Use only as directed. MIXING INSTRUCTIONS Fill spray tank half full with water, start agitator and slowly sprinkle the correct amount of DiPel DF into the vortex of swirl; run agitator for some minutes. Add wetter/sticker while mixing and bring up to required volume with water. If equipment has no or poor agitation (such as knapsack sprayers and tank sprayers with no agitators, etc.) fill tank half full with water, slowly sprinkle DiPel DF to hydrate and disperse by itself; only then add wetter/sticker. Bring to required volume and mix well. A suitable wetter/sticker is recommended for hard to wet crops i.e. cole crops or to improve weather fastness of the spray deposit. Add according to the dosage instructions on the label of the wetter/sticker. Do not allow spray mix to stand in the tank for more than 12 hours.

3 3 NOTE Repeat application at an interval sufficient to maintain control, usually 3 to 14 days depending on plant growth rate, moth activity and rainfall after treatment. Apply to obtain full cover spray when pest is first noticed. Treat when larvae are young (early instars). Larvae must be actively feeding. After ingestion, larvae stops feeding immediately, but death may not follow till some time later. Do not apply DiPel DF through any type of irrigation system. Do not use water that is alkaline. Use a buffer to lower the ph of the water to 7. DiPel DF does not harm bees, fish, birds, beneficial insects or wild life. DiPel DF does not interrupt the activities of beneficial and predacious anthropoids in integrated pest management programmes. Treated crops may be harvested shortly after application. There are no restrictions on applying DiPel DF up to the time of harvest. 4 4 CROP / PEST RATE REMARKS GRAPES Pear leafroller 500 g/ha Apply every 7 to14 days and ensure thorough coverage of the foliage during the first month of shoot growth after budding. DiPel DF is not a contact killer, but has to be ingested by leafroller to be effective. Good coverage of all parts of the foliage is therefore of primary importance. GREEN BEANS American bollworm 500 g/ha Apply as a full cover spray when pest plants. Semi- (Plusia) looper 375 g 500 g/ha Apply as a full cover spray when pest plants. Lawn caterpillar larvae normally occur from December/January to April in most areas. First spray should be applied in early January. Place a wet towel on lawn overnight to determine the presence of caterpillars, which can be seen under the towel the following morning. LUCERNE Lucerne caterpillar 125 g/ha Apply in sufficient water for thorough coverage of foliage. ORNAMENTALS Semi- (Plusia) looper 12.5 g/100 l water Apply as a full cover spray when pest plants. Alhoewel hierdie middel omvattend onder 'n groot verskeidenheid toestande getoets is, waarborg die registrasiehouer nie dat dit onder alle toestande doeltreffend sal wees nie, aangesien die werking en effek daarvan beïnvloed kan word deur faktore soos abnormale klimaats- en bergingstoestande, kwaliteit van verdunningswater, verenigbaarheid met ander stowwe wat nie op die etiket aangedui is nie en die voorkoms van weerstand van die plaag teen die betrokke middel, sowel as die metode, tyd en akkuraatheid van toediening. Verder aanvaar die registrasiehouer nie verantwoordelikheid vir skade aan gewasse, plantegroei, die omgewing of enige effek op mens of dier of vir 'n gebrek aan prestasie van die betrokke middel as gevolg van die versuim van die gebruiker om etiketaanwysings na te kom of as gevolg van die ontstaan van toestande wat nie kragtens die registrasie voorsien kon word nie. Raadpleeg die verskaffer in die geval van enige onsekerheid. VOORSORGMAATREëLS Moenie spuitnewel inasem nie. Voorkom aanraking met oë. Ingeval van aanraking met vel of oë, spoel met volop skoon water. Spoel die houer drie keer uit met n volume water gelykstaande aan minstens 10% van die inhoud van die houer. Gooi die spoelwater by die inhoud van die spuittenk. Vernietig leë houer en moet nooit vir enige ander doel hergebruik nie. GEBRUIKSAANWYSINGS Gebruik slegs soos aangedui. MENGINSTRUKSIES Maak die spuittenk halfvol met water. Skakel die roerder aan en voeg die korrekte hoeveelheid DiPel DF stadig by in die draaikolk. Hou roerder aangeskakel vir 'n paar minute. Voeg benattings/kleefmiddel by terwyl gemeng word en vul daarna die tenk met water. Indien toerusting geen of swak beroering het (soos byvoorbeeld rugsakspuite en tenkspuite sonder roerders) maak die tenk half vol met water, strooi dan DiPel DF stadig op oppervlak van water en laat voldoende tyd toe sodat DiPel DF kan hidreer en vanself versprei. Eers dan word benattings/kleefmiddel bygevoeg. Maak tenk vol en meng deeglik. 'n Geskikte benattings/kleefmiddel word aanbeveel vir gewasse wat moeilik benat bv. koolgewasse of om DiPel DF meer wind en reënvas te maak. Voeg by volgens die aanbevelingsdosis op die etiket van die benattings/kleefmiddel. Moenie spuitmengsel in die tenk laat vir meer as 12 uur nie.

7 7 NOTA Herhaal behandeling met tussenposes van 3 tot 14 dae om voldoende beheer te verkry. tussenposes sal afhang van die plantgroeitempo, motaktiwiteit en reënval na toediening. Die Dien toe om volle bedekking te verkry, wanneer plaag vir die eerste maal opgemerk word. Toediening moet geskied as larwes jonk is (vroeë instars) en aktief vreet. Larwe staak voeding onmiddellik na inname van spuitstof, maar dood eers na verloop van tyd. Moenie DiPel DF deur middel van enige besproeiingsisteem toedien nie. Moenie water wat alkalies is gebruik nie. Gebruik 'n buffer om die ph van die water na 7 te verlaag. DiPel DF het nie 'n nadelige effek op visse, bye, voëls, voordelige insekte of wild nie. DiPel DF het geen invloed op die aktiwiteit van voordelige insekte en roof myte in 'n geïntegreerde plaagbeheerprogram nie. Behandelde gewasse kan kort na toediening ge-oes word. Daar is geen beperking op DiPel DF om tot net voor oes toe te dien nie. AANBEVELINGS GEWAS/PLAAG HOEVEELHEID OPMERKINGS AARTAPPELS Vals- (Plusia) landmeterwurm 250 g g/ha Dien toe as 'n volle dekbespuiting wanneer plaag voorkom. Verseker deeglike Gebruik die hoër dosis soos die plaag toeneem. APPELS Amerikaanse bolwurm 12.5 g - 20 g/100 l water Dien toe as 'n volle dekbespuiting wanneer plaag voorkom. Gebruik laer dosis op jong bome. AVOKADO S Bladroller 12.5 g/100 l water Dien toe as n volle dekbespuiting wanneer plaag voorkom. Verseker deeglike bedekking van bome. BOLPLANTE Lelieboorder 50 g/100 l water Dien toe as n volle dekbespuiting wanneer plaag voorkom. Verseker deeglike DENNEBOME EN PROTEAS Dennepouoogmotlarwe 22.5 g/10 l water 250 g/ha Rugsakspuit Verseker deeglike bedekking van jong bome en protea struike. Lugtoediening Moet in nie minder as 30l water toegedien word nie. DRUIWE Peer bladroller 500 g/ha Dien elke 7-14 dae toe, verseker deeglike bedekking van blare gedurende die eerste maand van lootgroei na bot. DiPel DF is nie n kontakdoder nie, maar moet ingeneem word deur die bladroller om effektief te wees. Deeglike bedekking van alle plantdele is daarom van uiterste belang.

8 8 GEWAS/PLAAG HOEVEELHEID OPMERKINGS ERTE Amerikaanse bolwurm 500 g/ha Dien toe as 'n volle dekbespuiting wanneer GRASPERKE Grasperkruspe 50 g /100 l water/ 100 m 2 Dien toe as 'n volle dekbespuiting wanneer plaag voorkom. Herhaal elke 7-14 dae. Grasperkruspe larwes kom gewoonlik voor tussen Desember/Januarie en April in die meeste areas. Eerste bespuiting behoort vroeg Januarie te wees. Plaas n nat handdoek op die grasperk oornag om so vas te stel of daar larwes teenwoordig is. Indien wel, sal hulle die volgende môre onder die handdoek sigbaar wees,. GROENBONE Amerikaanse bolwurm 500 g/ha Dien toe as 'n volle dekbespuiting wanneer Vals- (Plusia) landmeterwurm 375 g g/ha Dien toe as 'n volle dekbespuiting wanneer Gebruik die hoër dosis soos die plaag toeneem. KOOLGEWASSE Amerikaanse bolwurm 500 g/ha Dien toe as 'n volle dekbespuiting wanneer Ruitrugmotlarwe 250 g 500 g/ha Dien toe as n volle dekbespuiting wanneer Gebruik die hoër dosis soos die plaag toeneem.
