2 2 WARNINGS Store in a cool dry place and out of reach of children, uninformed persons and animals. Harmful if swallowed or if vapours are breathed for prolonged periods. May cause eye irritation. In case of contact with eyes, flush with plenty of water and get medical attention. May cause drying effect of skin. In case of skin contact, wash immediately with soap and plenty of water and remove contaminated clothes. May cause damage to other crops. THIS REMEDY HAS BEEN EXTENSIVELY TESTED UNDER A LARGE VARIETY OF CONDITIONS. CONSULT THE SUPPLIER IN THE EVENT OF ANY UNCERTAINTY. PRECAUTIONS Avoid inhaling of spray mist. Wash with soap and water after use. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Do not contaminate food, feeds, rivers, dams and water sources. Clean application equipment before using with other remedies and dispose of wash water where it will not contaminate crops, grazing, rivers and dams. Avoid spray drift onto other crops, grazing, rivers and dams. Rinse empty container three times with a volume of water equal to a minimum of 10 % of that of the container. Add the rinsings to the contents of the spray tank before destroying the container in the prescribed manner. Do not re-use empty container but destroy by flattening and perforation. Prevent contamination of food, feeds, drinking water and eating utensils. DIRECTIONS FOR USE USE ONLY AS DIRECTED. Efficacy is greatly influenced by environmental factors, i.e. water stress and heat waves can have a negative influence. Ideally soil conditions should be at field capacity during application.

3 3 SPRAY VOLUME PER HECTARE Apply in sufficient amount of water to ensure thorough coverage without excessive run-off. Determine the spray volume required per hectare using the tree row volume model. Adjust spray volumes based on tree size and spacing. In many cases, spray volumes of approximately L/ha have been shown to be adequate. Consult the technical advisor of your Regulex 10 SG distributor. Apply Regulex 10 SG spray mix as a uniform fine mist spray, directing 85 % of the spray to the upper 2/3 of the tree. TIME OF APPLICATION 1. Apply when wind conditions will not cause excessive spray drift. 2. If conditions at full bloom are unfavourable, delay application until conditions favouring maximum absorption of Regulex 10 SG exist. High relative humidity, cool weather, damp and slow drying conditions at time of spraying or shortly thereafter, improves absorption. Spray in the early morning or evening. Conditions favouring rapid drying conditions of spray should be avoided. 3. Delay applying Regulex 10 SG after rain until flower parts/fruitlets and leaves are free of surface droplets. Application should be made only when a 6-hour rain free period is expected. If rain falls within 6 hours of application, reduced response should be anticipated. Do not re-spray in the event of rain falling within 6 hours of application. 4. Do not apply when temperatures are expected to be lower than 7 o C or higher than 32 0 C at the time of application. MIXING INSTRUCTIONS Do not pre-mix Regulex 10 SG. Half fill a clean spray tank with clean water and engage the agitator. Add the required amount of Regulex 10SG. Topup tank with water to required level. Use spray solution within 24 hours after mixing. RECOMMENDATIONS GROWTH CROP REGULATING ACTIVITY Apples : Golden Delicious Reduces calyx end (retiform) russetting PROGRAM TREATMENT Apples: Golden Delicious Reducing retiform russet, fruit thinning, increasing fruit mass of individual fruit and enhancing return bloom NOTES Rate / 100 L water 10 g Regulex 10 SG 125 ml Promalin 20 g Regulex 10 SG ml MaxCel REMARKS Apply 4 5 sprays (5 sprays under conditions likely to cause a high incidence of russet such as fluctuating weather conditions, or in orchards with a known severe russet problem). Commence spraying at full bloom and repeat at 7 10 day intervals. 1. Apply a single Promalin application at 85% bloom 2. Apply Regulex 10SG as a tank mix in combination with MaxCel at 8-12 mm fruit size. 1. Do not apply Regulex 10 SG as a tank mix in combination with pesticides, plant nutrients or other growth regulators, with the exception of MaxCel.

4 4 2. PROGRAM TREATMENT with Promalin and MaxCel at the recommended rates, may reduce retiform russet, increase fruit thinning, increase fruit mass of individual fruit and enhance return bloom. Please consult your technical advisor or Valent BioSciences representative. 3. Use properly calibrated spray equipment that ensures uniform and complete coverage of all foliage and blossoms/fruitlets. Gooi die spoelwater by die inhoud van die spuittenk voordat die houer op die voorgeskrewe wyse vernietig word. Vernietig leë houer deur gate daarin te maak en dit plat te druk en moet dit vir geen ander doel gebruik nie. Vermy besoedeling van kos, voer, drinkwater en eetgerei. GEBRUIKSAANWYSINGS GEBRUIK SLEGS SOOS AANGEDUI. Produkwerking word baie beïnvloed deur omgewingstoestande, bv. vogspanning en hittegolwe kan n negatiewe uitwerking hê. Die geskikste sou wees dat grondtoestande by veldkapasitiet is tydens toediening.

6 6 SPUITVOLUME PER HEKTAAR Dien toe in genoegsame hoeveelheid water om goeie bedekking te verseker sonder oormatige afloop. Bepaal die spuit volume benodig per hektaar deur gebruik te maak van die boom-ry-volume-model. Maak aanpassings t.o.v. die spuitvolume gebaseer op boomgrootte en spasiёring. In baie gevalle, sal n spuitvolume van L/ha voldoende wees. Raadpleeg die tegniese adviseur van u Regulex 10 SG verspreider. Dien die Regulex 10 SG spuitmengsel as 'n fyn spuitnewel toe en rig 85 % van die spuitmengsel op die boonste 2/3 van die boom. TYD VAN TOEDIENING 1. Dien toe wanneer windtoestande nie oormatige spuitnewel tot gevolg sal hê nie. 2. Indien toestande tydens volblom ongunstig is, vertraag die toediening tot meer gunstige toestande heers vir maksimum Regulex 10 SG opname. Hoë relatiewe humiditeit, koel weer, vogtige en stadigdrogende toestande tydens toediening of kort daarna verhoog die opname van Regulex 10 SG. Dien Regulex 10 SG vroeg in die oggend of in die aand toe. Moenie spuit wanneer toestande gunstig is vir vinnige afdroging nie. 3. Vertraag die toediening van Regulex 10 SG na reën totdat daar nie meer water druppels aanwesig is op blomdele/vruggies en blare nie. Toediening moet slegs geskied wanneer reën nie binne 6 uur na toediening verwag word nie. Indien dit sou reën binne 6 uur na toediening, moet 'n swakker resultaat verwag word. Moet nie oorspuit indien reën binne 6 uur van toediening val nie. 4. Moenie spuit indien verwag word dat temperature laer as 7 o C of hoër as 32 o C ten tye van toediening gaan wees. VERMENGING Moenie Regulex 10 SG vooraf meng nie. Vul skoon spuittenk half met skoon water en skakel die roerstelsel aan. Voeg die verlangde hoeveelheid Regulex 10 SG by. Vul op met water tot by die verlangde vlak. Gebruik die oplossing binne 24 h na vermenging. AANBEVELINGS GROEI- GEWAS REGULERENDE AKSIE Appels : Golden Delicious Vermindering van kelk-end (netagtige) verruwing. PROGRAM BESPUITING Appels : Golden Delicious Vermindering van netagtige verruwing, uitdun van vrugte,verbeterde vrugmassa van individuele vrugte, asook bevordering van blom in die daaropvolgende seisoen. Dosis /100 L water 10 g Regulex 10 SG 125 ml Promalin 20 g Regulex 10 SG ml MaxCel AANTEKENINGE Dien toe 4 5 bespuitings (5 bespuitings word aanbeveel onder toestande gunstig vir skilverruwing soos wisselende klimaatstoestande of in boorde met n geskiedenis van skilverruwing). Die eerste bespuiting word met volblom toegedien. Opvolg bespuitings moet met tussenposes van 7 10 dae toegedien word. 1. Dien 'n enkele Promalin toe by 85% blom. 2. Dien Regulex 10SG as `n tenkmengsel toe in kombinasie met MaxCel by 8-12 mm vruggrootte.

7 7 NOTAS 1. Moenie Regulex 10 SG meng met plaagbeheermiddels, blaarvoedingmiddels of ander groei-reguleerders behalwe MaxCel nie. 2. Program bespuiting met Promalin en MaxCel teen die aanbevole dosisse mag lei tot vruguitdunning, vermindering van netagtige verruwing, verbeterde vrugmassa van individuele vrugte, asook die bevordering van blom in die daaropvolgende seisoen. Raadpleeg u tegniese adviseur of Valent BioSciences verteenwoordiger. 3. Maak gebruik van korrek gekalibreerde spuittoerusting wat 'n uniforme en volledige bedekking van alle bloeisels/vrugte en plantegroei verseker.
