Dra beskermende klere (stewels, rubberhandskoene en gesigskerm) wanneer die produk hanteer of toegedien word. Was besoedelde klere daagliks. Was met seep en water na gebruik of velkontak. In geval van oogkontak, spoel onmiddellik met lopende water. Moenie eet, drink of rook tydens vermenging of toediening of voordat hande en gesig gewas is en skoon klere aangetrek is nie. Verhoed besoedeling van voedsel, eetgerei, voer en drinkwater. Verhoed wegdrywing van die sproeinewel na ander gewasse, weidings, riviere, damme of ander gebiede wat nie behandel word nie. Maak alle apparaat deeglik skoon na gebruik en moenie die omgewing met spoelwater besoedel nie. Sodra die houer leeg is keer dit om oor die spuittenk of mengbak en dreineer vir minstens 30 sekondes nadat die vloei tot 'n gedrup verminder het. Spoel die houer daarna driekeer uit met 'n volume water gelyk aan minstens 'n tiende van die houer en gooi die spoelwater by die inhoud van die spuittenk. Vernietig die houer deur gate daarin te maak en te begrawe of te verbrand. Moenie die houer vir enige ander doel gebruik nie. NOODHULPBEHANDELING: Algemene advies: Verkry onmidellik mediese advies in geval van 'n ongeluk of indien u olik voel en wys die produk etiket aan die geneesheer indien moontlik. Inaseming: Beweeg na vars lug in geval dampe of ontbindings produkte per ongeluk ingeasem is. Dien suurstof of kunsmatige asemhaling toe indien nodig. Kontak 'n geneesheer of die gif beheer sentrum onmiddellik. Velkontak: Was af met seep en water. Verwyder onmiddellik besoedelde klere en skoene. Kontak 'n geneesheer of die gif beheer sentrum onmiddellik. Oogkontak: Spoel die oë onmiddellik uit met genoegsame water vir ten minste 15 minute, ook onder die ooglede. Verwyder kontaklense na die eerste 5 minute, indien teenwoordig en gaan voort met spoeling. Verkry mediese behandeling indien irritasie ontwikkel en voortduur. Ingesluk: Spoel mond uit. Veroorsaak braking SLEGS indien, 1. die pasiënt by sy/haar volle bewussyn is, 2. mediese hulp nie geredelik beskikbaar is nie, 3. 'n beduidende hoeveelheid (meer as 'n mondvol) ingesluk is en 4. die tydsverloop sedert die gifstof ingeluk is minder as een uur is. (braaksel moet nie in die asemhalings kanaal beland nie). Kontak onmiddellik 'n geneesheer of die Gif Beheer Sentrum. NOTAS AAN GENEESHEER Simptome Na oogkontak kom tydelike onduidelike sig voor as gevolg van die pupille wat saamtrek (miose), bradikardie, lae bloed druk, speekselvloei, brongiale hiperafskeiding, braking, maagwerking, sweet, spiertrekkings, spasmas, swaar asemhaling, respiratoriese verlamming, slaperigheid, koma, ophou asemhaal, lae liggaams temperatuur, stuiptrekkings en naarheid Gevare Hierdie produk is 'n cholienesterase inhiberings karbamaat.

3 Insekdoder Behandeling Kontroleer: asemhalings-, hart- en sentrale senuwee stelsels. Kontroleer: bloed funksies. Kontroleer rooi bloedsel en plasma cholienesterase. EKG monitering (elektrokardiogram). Endotrachiale intibusie en maag spoeling gevolg deur die toediening van koolstof. Hou die lugweg kanaal oop en dien kunsmatige asemhaling toe indien nodig. Behandeling vir volwassenes: dien 'n hoë dosis atropien toe (2 tot 4 mg) en herhaal elke 10 tot 15 minute soos nodig. Kontraindikasies: oksiem, (pralidoksiem, obidoksiem), succinyl cholien, aminophyllien. Dien diazepam binneaars toe teen stuiptrekkings: 5 tot 10 mg vir volwassenes soos nodig tot volledig gekalmeer en 2.5 mg vir kinders. WEERSTANDSWAARSKUWING: Vir weerstandsbestuur is Larvin 375 SC as 'n Groepkode 1A insekdoder geklassifiseer. Enige populasie van 'n spesifieke insek mag individue insluit wat 'n natuurlike weerstand teen Larvin 375 SC, of enige ander Groepkode 1A insekdoder het. Indien hierdie insekdoders herhaaldelik aangewend word, kan die weerstandbiedende individue uiteindelik die insekpopulasie oorheers. Hierdie weerstandbiedende insekte sal moontlik nie deur Larvin 375 SC of enige ander Groepkode 1A insekdoder, beheer word nie. Aangesien die voorkoms van weerstandbiedende insekte moeilik is om te bepaal voor insekdoder-toediening plaasvind, is dit uiters noodsaaklik dat behandelde gebiede met gereelde intervalle ondersoek word om weerstand vroegtydig te identifiseer. Bayer (Edms) Bpk. sal nie verantwoordelikheid aanvaar vir enige gebrek aan prestasie in die geval van die opbou van weerstand in die insekte as gevolg van onvoldoende insekbestandheidsbestuur soos aangedui op die etiket nie. Om weerstand teen insekdoders te vertraag: Vermy die eksklusiewe herhaaldelike gebruik van insekdoders in dieselfde insekdodergroepkode. Wissel af met, of gebruik tenkmengsels van produkte in verskillende insekdodergroepkodes. Integreer ander beheermaatreëls (chemies, verbouing, biologies) in insekbeheerprogramme. GEBRUIKSAANWYSINGS: GEBRUIK SLEGS SOOS AANGEDUI Sien "WAARSKUWINGS" aangaande tydsduur wat moet verloop tussen laaste behandeling en beweiding of oes. VERENIGBAARHEID: Die volle reeks plaagdoders en bemestingstowwe waarmee Larvin 375 SC verenigbaar is, is nog nie bekend nie. Dit word dus aanbeveel dat voordat tenkmengsels gemaak word daar eers 'n klein hoeveelheid Larvin 375 SC met 'n gelyke volume water in 'n klein houer gemeng word alvorens die ander plaagdoder bygevoeg word. Moenie mengsels gebruik wat dik word, 'n neerslag vorm of vetterig voorkom nie. Tenkmengsels moet binne 6 ure na vermenging gebruik word. Moenie Larvin 375 SC meng met water met 'n ph waarde onder 3,0 of bo 8,5 nie. Larvin 375 SC moet nie met hoogs alkaliese middels (bv. gebluste kalk en kalkswael), hoogs suuragtige middels of middels wat metaalsoute (bv. ysterchloried, koperchloried ens.) bevat of met swamdoders wat metaalsoute bevat (soos kopersulfaat, mangaan- en sinkditiokarbamate of 'n mengsel van beide) vermeng word nie. MENGINSTRUKSIES: Skud konsentraat deeglik voor verdunning. Roer deeglik na vermenging met water. LUGTOEDIENING: MOENIE LUGBESPUITING BEGIN VOORDAT U U LARVIN 375 SC VERTEENWOORDIGER GESPREEK HET NIE. Lugtoediening mag slegs deur 'n geregistreerde lugbespuitingsoperateur met 'n korrek gekalibreerde, geregistreerde vliegtuig volgens die instruksies van STANSA Kode 0118 (Aerial Application of Agricultural Pesticides) gedoen word. Dit is belangrik om te verseker dat die spuitmengsel eweredig oor die teikenarea versprei word en dat die verlies aan spuitmengsel tydens toediening tot 'n minimum beperk word. Dit is dus belangrik om aan die volgende kriteria te voldoen : Toerusting: - Gebruik geskikte atomiseringsapparaat (hidroliese of roterende spuitkoppe) wat die vereiste druppelgrootte en bedekking sal produseer, maar wat die minste verlies van produk deur wegdrywing sal verseker. - Die operateur moet 'n stelsel gebruik wat 'n druppelspektrum met die kleinste moontlike relatiewe span sal produseer. - Al die spuitneuse/atomiseerders moet in die binneste 75 % van die vlerkspan geplaas word om die beweging van druppels in die vlerkvorteks in te verhoed. Toedieningsparameters: - 'n Minimum volume van 30 spuitmengsel per hektaar word aanbeveel. Aangesien hierdie produk nie teen 'n verlaagde volume getoets is nie, kan die registrasiehouer nie effektiwiteit waarborg, of verantwoordelik gehou word vir enige nadelige effek indien hierdie produk teen 'n laer volume as hierbo aanbeveel, uit die lug toegedien word nie. - 'n Druppelbedekking van druppels per cm² moet op die teikenarea herwin word. - 'n Druppelspektrum met 'n VMD van mikron word aanbeveel. Verseker dat die produksie van fyn druppels (kleiner as 150 mikron) tot 'n minimum beperk word. - Die hoogte van die spuitbalk moet op 3-4 meter bo die teiken gehandhaaf word. Moenie spuit wanneer die vliegtuig aan die bopunt is van, of tydens 'n duik, of terwyl dit uitklim of draai nie. - Dien toe voordat die gewas te ruig word wat sal verhoed dat plante behoorlik bedek word. Meteorologiese toestande : - Die verskil tussen die nat- en droëbollesing, soos met 'n swaaihigrometer bepaal, moet nie 8 C oorskry nie. - Moenie toedien tydens turbulente, onstabiele toestande gedurende die hitte van die dag wanneer styg en dalende konveksie windbeweging plaasvind nie. - Moenie toedien onder temperatuur inversie toestande (deur bo of binne die inversielaag te spuit) nie. - Moenie spuit indien die windspoed 15 km/uur oorskry nie.

4 Insekdoder Algemeen : - Sorg dat die lande akkuraat gemerk is en die spuitoperateur presies weet watter lande gespuit moet word. - Verkry 'n versekering van die spuitoperateur dat aan die bogenoemde vereistes voldoen sal word. TOEDIENINGSTABEL: GEWAS EN PLAE DOSIS OPMERKINGS MIELIES Mieliestronkboorder (Busseola fusca) Vanaf 2 weke na opkom tot en met pluimvorming moet mielies elke week verken word om vroeë eier en larwe besmettings betyds op te merk. Behandel 5-7 dae nadat 5% of meer plante besmet is met eiers of sodra 5% of meer plante haelskade toon, klein deursigtige kolle vensters op die jongste blare. Vir die beste resultate is dit wenslik om vroeg in die oggend te spuit terwyl die plante nog nat van die dou is. Winderige toestande het n nadelige uitwerking op bedekking en plaagbeheer. Moenie verwelkte plante bespuit nie. Herhaal bespuiting wanneer verkenning dit weer later in die groeiseisoen sou vereis, veral op vroeë aanplantings. Larwes langer as 10 mm of larwes wat alreeds die stam of pluim binnegedring het, sal nie gedood word nie. Grondtoediening: 6,5 m /100 m plantry Lugtoediening: 800 m /ha Dien toe in 3 water/100 m plantry. Verseker deeglike bedekking deur gebruik te maak van vertikale valarms. Dit is belangrik dat die spuitstof ook direk in die kelke van die plante gespuit word. Dien toe in 30 water/ha. Verwys na "LUGTOEDIENING". KATOEN Amerikaanse-, Rooi- en Stekelrige bolwurm Larvin 375 SC moet weekliks as n voorkomende beheermaatreël teen bolwurmlarwes aangewend word, vanaf spits blomtyd tot bolbars of anders moet bespuiting gebaseer word op gereelde weeklikse verkenning. Eierverkenning word uitgevoer op 24 plante wat na willekeur gekies is op lande tot 15 ha groot. Bespuit wanneer die volgende tellings van die afsonderlike bolwurmspesies per 24 plante verkry word. Amerikaanse bolwurm: 12 eiers of 2 larwes Rooibolwurm: 6 eiers of 2 larwes Stekelrige bolwurm: 2 of meer larwes Larvin 375 SC behoort slegs gebruik te word gedurende die tydperk van vrugvorming vanaf spits blomtyd tot bolbars, d.w.s. gedurende die periode 10 tot 22 weke na plantopkom. Grondtoediening: 500 m /100 water Newelblasers asook trekker-gemonteerde spuitbalke met holkeëlspuitpunte : Vir katoenplante kleiner as 600 mm dien 100 spuit-mengsel/ha toe. Vir plante groter as 600 mm, vermeerder die volume spuitmengsel tot 200 /ha vir volgroeide katoen. Lugtoediening: 1 /ha Dien toe in 30 water/ha. Verwys na "LUGTOEDIENING". Bayer (Edms) Bpk. 5 Insecticide WARNINGS: ALLOW 21 DAYS BETWEEN LAST APPLICATION AND HARVESTING OF MAIZE ALLOW 21 DAYS BETWEEN LAST TREATMENT AND GRAZING OR FEEDING OF MAIZE AND COTTON Handle with extreme care. Toxic when swallowed, inhaled or absorbed through the skin. Toxic to fish, bees and wildlife. Keep out of reach of children, uninformed persons and animals. Store under lock and key away from food and feed. Re-entry - Do not enter treated area within 2 days after treatment unless wearing protective clothing. In case of poisoning - CALL A DOCTOR AND MAKE THIS LABEL AVAILABLE TO HIM. Aerial application - notify all inhabitants of the immediate area to be sprayed and issue the necessary warnings. Do not spray over or allow drift to contaminate water or adjacent areas. Although Larvin 375 SC is regarded as crop-safe on most important cultivars, this does not mean that a more sensitive cultivar might not be commercialized in the future. Where a new cultivar is encountered, large areas should not be sprayed without prior testing of Larvin 375 SC on that cultivar. ALTHOUGH THIS REMEDY HAS BEEN EXTENSIVELY TESTED UNDER A LARGE VARIETY OF CONDITIONS THE REGISTRATION HOLDER DOES NOT WARRANT THAT IT WILL BE EFFICACIOUS UNDER ALL CONDITIONS BECAUSE THE ACTION AND EFFECT THEREOF MAY BE AFFECTED BY FACTORS SUCH AS ABNORMAL CLIMATIC AND STORAGE CONDITIONS, QUALITY OF DILUTION WATER, COMPATIBILITY WITH OTHER SUBSTANCES NOT INDICATED ON THE LABEL AND THE OCCURRENCE OF RESISTANCE OF THE PESTS TO THE REMEDY CONCERNED AS WELL AS BY THE METHOD, TIME AND ACCURACY OF APPLICATION. THE REGISTRATION HOLDER FURTHERMORE DOES NOT ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR DAMAGE TO CROPS, VEGETATION, THE ENVIRONMENT OR HARM TO MAN OR ANIMAL OR FOR LACK OF PERFORMANCE OF THE REMEDY CONCERNED DUE TO FAILURE OF THE USER TO FOLLOW THE LABEL INSTRUCTIONS OR TO THE OCCURRENCE OF CONDITIONS WHICH COULD NOT HAVE BEEN FORESEEN IN TERMS OF THE REGISTRATION. CONSULT THE SUPPLIER IN THE EVENT OF ANY UNCERTAINTY. PRECAUTIONS: Do not inhale spray mist. Wear protective clothing (boots, rubber gloves and face shield) when handling or applying the product. Wash contaminated clothing daily. Wash with soap and water after handling or skin contact. In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with running water. Do not eat, drink or smoke whilst mixing or applying or before washing hands and face and changing clothes. Prevent contamination of food, eating utensils, feed and drinking water. Prevent spray drift onto other crops, grazing, rivers, dams and other areas not under treatment. Clean all equipment thoroughly after use and do not pollute the environment with wash water. When empty, invert the container over the spray tank or mixing tank and allow it to drain for at least 30 seconds after the flow has slowed down to a drip. Thereafter rinse the container three times with a volume of water equal to at least one tenth of that of the container and add the rinsings to the contents of the spray tank. Destroy the container by puncturing and burying or burning it. Do not use the container for any other purpose. FIRST AID TREATMENT: General advice: In the case of accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical advice immediately (show the label where possible). Inhalation: Move to fresh air in case of accidental inhalation of vapours or decomposition products. Give oxygen or artificial respiration if needed. Call a physician or poison control centre immediately. Skin contact: Wash off with soap and water. Take off contaminated clothing and shoes immediately. Call a physician or poison control centre immediately. Eye contact: Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present, after the first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing eye. Get medical attention if irritation develops and persists. Ingestion: Rinse mouth. Induce vomiting only, if: 1. patient is fully conscious, 2. medical aid is not readily available, 3. a significant amount (more than a mouthful) has been ingested and 4. time since ingestion is less than 1 hour. (Vomit should not get into the respiratory tract.) Call a physician or poison control centre immediately. NOTES TO PHYSICIAN Symptoms Temporary blurred vision due to contraction of the pupils (miosis) following contact with the eyes., bradycardia, low blood pressure, Salivation, bronchial hypersecretion, Vomiting, Diarrhoea, sweating, muscular fasciculation, spasm, breathing difficulties, respiratory paralysis, somnolence, Coma, respiratory failure, hypothermia, Convulsions, Nausea. Risks This product contains a cholinesterase inhibitor carbamate. Treatment Monitoring of respiratory, cardiac and central nervous system. Monitoring of the blood picture. Observe specific parameters: red blood cell and plasma cholinesterase. ECG - monitoring (Electrocardiogram). Endotracheal intubation and gastric lavage, followed by administration of charcoal. Keep airway clear, administer artificial respiration if necessary. Treatment for adults: for all cases a high dose of atropine (2 to 4 mg) repeated every 10 to 15 minutes as needed. Contraindications: oximes (pralidoxime, obidoxime), succinyl choline, aminophylline. Against convulsions: give diazepam. For adults 5-10 mg intravenously as necessary until fully sedated; for children 2.5 mg i.v.

6 Insecticide RESISTANCE WARNING: For resistance management, Larvin 375 SC is a Group Code 1A insecticide. Any insect population may contain individuals naturally resistant to Larvin 375 SC and other Group Code 1A insecticides. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the insect population if these insecticides are used repeatedly. These resistant insects may not be controlled by Larvin 375 SC or any other Group Code 1A insecticides. Since the presence of resistant insects is difficult to detect prior to insecticide application, it is of the utmost importance that treated areas be inspected at regular intervals to identify the occurrence of insecticide-resistant insects timeously. Bayer (Pty) Ltd will not accept liability for performance failures in the event of a build-up of resistant insects resulting from inadequate resistance management practices as indicated on the label. To delay insecticide resistance: Avoid exclusive repeated use of insecticides from the same insecticide Group Code. Alternate or tank mix with products from different insecticide Group Codes. Integrate other control methods [chemical, cultural, biological] into insect control programmes. For specific information on resistance management contact your local Bayer CropScience representative. DIRECTIONS FOR USE: USE ONLY AS DIRECTED For period that has to be allowed between last application and harvest or grazing, see "WARNINGS". COMPATIBILITY: The full range of the physical compatibility of Larvin 375 SC with other pesticides and fertilizers is not known. Therefore, before preparing tank mix combinations, add a small amount of Larvin 375 SC to an equal volume of water in a small container and then add the other pesticide. Do not use mixtures that curdle, precipitate or grease. Tank mixtures should be used within 6 hours after mixing. Do not mix Larvin 375 SC with water if ph values are below 3,0 or above 8,5. Do not mix with highly alkaline materials (e.g., hydrated lime, lime sulphur), highly acidic materials or materials containing metal salts (e.g., ferric chloride, copper chloride) or with fungicides containing metal salts (e.g., copper sulphate, manganese and zinc dithiocarbamates or a mixture of both). MIXING INSTRUCTIONS: Shake concentrate well before dilution. Stir thoroughly after dilution with water. AERIAL APPLICATION: DO NOT COMMENCE AERIAL APPLICATION BEFORE CONSULTING YOUR LARVIN 375 SC REPRESENTATIVE. Aerial application may only be done by a registered aerial application operator using a correctly calibrated, registered aircraft according to the instructions of SANS (Aerial Application of Agricultural Pesticides). It is important to ensure that the spray mixture is distributed evenly over the target area and that the loss of spray material during application is restricted to a minimum. It is therefore essential that the following criteria are met: Equipment: - Use suitable atomising equipment (hydraulic nozzles or rotary atomisers) that will produce the desired droplet size and coverage, but which will ensure the minimum loss of product through drift. - The operator must use a setup that will produce a droplet spectrum with the lowest possible relative span. - All nozzles / atomisers should be positioned within the inner 75 % of the wingspan to prevent droplets from entering the wingtip vortices. Application parameters: - A minimum volume of 30 spray mixture per hectare is recommended. As this product has not been evaluated at a reduced volume rate, the registration holder cannot guarantee efficacy, or be held responsible for any adverse effects if this product is applied aerially at a lower volume rate than recommended above. - A droplet coverage of droplets per cm² must be recovered at the target. - A droplet spectrum with a VMD of microns is recommended. Ensure that the production of fine droplets (smaller than 150 microns) is restricted to a minimum. - The height of the spray boom should be maintained at 3-4 metres above the target. Do not spray when aircraft is in a climb, at the top or during a dive, or when banking. - Apply before the crop becomes too dense, thus preventing proper coverage of the plants. Meteorological conditions: - The difference between the wet and dry bulb readings as determined by a whirling hygrometer, must not exceed 8 C. - Do not spray under turbulent, unstable conditions during the heat of the day when rising thermals and downdraughts occur. - Do not spray under temperature inversion conditions (spraying in or above the inversion layer). - Do not spray if the wind speed exceeds 15 km/h. General: - Ensure that fields are accurately marked and that the aerial spray operator knows exactly which fields to spray. - Obtain an assurance from the aerial spray operator that the above requirements will be met.

7 Insecticide APPLICATION TABLE : CROP AND PESTS DOSAGE REMARKS MAIZE Maize stalk borer (Busseola fusca) Ground application: 6,5 m /100 m plant row Aerial application: 800 m /ha Maize should be scouted weekly for early detection of an infestation from 2 weeks post-emergence up until tasselling. Treat five to seven days after 5% or more plants are infested with eggs or immediately when 5% or more of plants show symptoms of larvae feeding (shotgun holes) on young, newly emerged leaves. For best results, spray early in the morning while dew is still present. Windy conditions adversely affect coverage and pest control. Do not spray wilted plants. Repeat the application when scouting shows this to be necessary, as early plantings usually require a second application. Some larvae larger than 10 mm will not be killed. Larvae that have penetrated the stalk or tassel will not be killed. Apply in 3 water/100 m plant row. Ensure thorough coverage using vertical drop-arms. It is essential that spray is also directed down the funnel of the maize plant. Apply in 30 water/ha. Refer to "AERIAL APPLICATION". COTTON American bollworm, Red bollworm, Spiny bollworm Ground application: 500 m /100 water Aerial application: 1 /ha Larvin 375 SC should be used either weekly as a preventive control measure against all bollworm larvae or alternatively, treatment timing and frequency should be based on weekly scouting of cotton to determine pest levels. Apply Larvin 375 SC if the following counts of any bollworm species are exceeded per 24 randomly scouted plants in fields up to 15 ha in size: American bollworm: 12 eggs or 2 larvae. Red bollworm: 6 eggs or 2 larvae. Spiny bollworm: 2 or more larvae. Larvin 375 SC is only intended for use during the period of fruiting from peak flowering until boll split, approximately a period of 12 weeks between 10 to 22 weeks after seedling emergence. Mistblowers and tractor-mounted boom sprayers fitted with hollow cone nozzles: Cotton up to 600 mm tall - apply 100 spray mixture/ha.
