History The Old Rectory is believed to have been built around 1836 at the expense of the Duke of Northumberland, to accompany the Church of St Martin which was relocated from the grounds of Werrington Park Manor in around 1742 to its current site. The church tower is from the old church and the early neo-gothic style suggests that the architect was probably William Kent, designer of the Horse Guards building and the Treasury buildings at Whitehall. The residence was in the ownership of the Diocese of Truro until the current owners purchase in 2015.
