Therefore for 4 channel, there would be 4 sets of PID controllers, power circuits, thyristors, etc required for individual control of heater section The controller (channels) should be interchangeable with heaters. The channels of the controller must be able to provide power to Heater of any section. A suitable arrangement shall be provided for connecting any heater with controller channels. (For Example:- channel 3- should be able to provide power to section 3(a), where as next time the same channel of the controller should be able to power section 5(a) also without any overtemperature fault). There should not be temperature overshoot (due to control failure) as it may overheat and

4 burn the insulation of those sections. Sub systems included in the controller 4 nos of PID controllers 9 nos of temperature sensors (RTD) 4 nos of thyristors The power circuit should be separate for all the sections. However, ac input and relevant ac protection, measurement can be provided in one control panel. Electrical accessories contains following : main incomer MCB, Indication lamps for individual sections (to indicate which section is ON), Ammeter &Voltmeter, Remote communication: RS485/Ethernet Software for data logging. It includes facility for temperature set from PC, Data save in PC, plot of temperature with time, over-temperature/input ac fault, and other features. 5 Note: Required quantity: o 4 set of heaters; where each set will have Heaters for section- 1,2,3(a), 3(b), 4, 5(a), 5(b), 6(a), 6 (b). o One controller panel Vendor should fill and submit the compliance sheet. A datasheet having overview of the heater should be provided. Final acceptance shall be given after successful test & performance validation at IPR.
