1 1. Lake Management: Riverwood CDD Severn Trent Services Field Management Report Site Inspection October 31, 2014 a. Lake Maintenance: Per the Beautiful Ponds Lake Management synopsis, the lakes look very good for this time of year. Up until recently, the weather has been warm, sunny and rainy. These are all variables that usually produce significant algae growth. This has been a quiet month for lake management. All Lakes were treated except the reuse pond by Beautiful Ponds this last month, however due to the large amount of other activities occurring at Riverwood not all lakes were inspected by Severn Trent staff. For any discussion points that may pursue, an aerial with the Riverwood Lakes follows on page 8. Lake management details are provided below. RIVERWOOD LAKE INSPECTION FIELD SHEET DATE: 10/31/2014 By: M. Per from Walt, the fountain on the lake by the 13th fairway and green (CDD Lake #29) I believe is hooked up to an electrical outlet that also feeds an irrigation controller located on the south side of the lake by the sidewalk along Club Drive. Ask Mike Greener, he is the person that installed that fountain I believe at his own expense. I don't know about the fountain on the pond by the 9th green (CDD Lakes 15). I don't know who installed the fountain, where the electricity comes from or who pays the bill. Maybe Mike Greener would know. m. Beautiful Ponds, Lake Report, October 2014, Submitted to ST Field Manager. Report submitted to the Environmental Committee Chair. Various Lakes treated for Torpedo Grass, Cow pea, Alligator weed, Primrose, Cat Tail, and in Lake 12 Hydrilla just to name a few of the plants. Torpedo Grass was the most abundant treated plant. n. WWTP Maintenance Building: Photos 10/31/ Beach Club: Electrician has completed work Onsite staff replaced light bulbs in bathroom that were flickering or fixing to go out Onsite staff has purchased the 6-D Cell Batteries that work the bathroom towel dispensers and will install Front gutter has not been draining properly. Traced drain from the North side of the building to front. This area is failing. Traced from the front to the stairwell and the downspot, traced to flexible hose, and then to swale and outlet. Outlet buried under vegetation debris and soil. Cleared the outlet. Instructed staff not to stack old vegetation in this area and the drain is to remain unblocked. Will have to watch /or during the next rain event to see if this solves issue. If not the flexible hose may need to be removed laced. and/or re Gates have been fixed. The loops needed to be installed, however at the time of doing the work the electrical wiring was found to already been in place, so this reduce the overall amount for the bill. Gates have not malfunction since. However, this is the dryer time of the year, and moisture was the main culprit of the gate failing, so continue observation will occur. Chairs: At this time staff unlocks chairs when they come on duty and place a few out by the beach. They also clean some of them. When leaving for the evening the staff reminds members that they need to bring the chairs back up to near the board walk and lock them before they leave. There are several additional items that have been recorded separately and shared with the Beach Club Committee. Large tree vegetation needs to be addressed and estimates are being secured. 6
