1 1. Lake Management: Riverwood CDD Severn Trent Services Field Management Report Site Inspection 05/02/2015 a. Lake Maintenance: Aquatic nuisance vegetation is being maintained and is under control. On the hand, there is natural recruitment of beneficial native plants. Low growing seasonal native plants are recruiting on their own and filling in the pond banks. Also, there is recruitment of taller growing native plants. All these plants are beneficial and provide nutrient uptake and help control erosion. Algae is minimal. Water clarity is murky in several lakes. The water levels are seasonally consistent to what is expected, however the lakes in the Northeastern part of RW continue to follow their normal tendencies to have lower water levels than the rest of the ponds. The buffer zone, where it is recommended to allow the grass to grow slightly taller to help with capturing nutrient loading along the lakes edge, is also helping with minimizing the amount of grass clippings that are found in the lakes. Special attention during this inspection was made to assess the ponds and outfalls to make sure there was no storm debris from the recent storm. Pleco, Lots of Bulrush and some Duck Potato; Bulrush has been cut back in the South corner. Berm between the lake and Preserve M needs to be recapture. Preserve M s vegetation has grown way out of its perimeter. Leather Fern and Cabbage Palm in the immediate Preserve boundaries needs to be left. Step erosion along residential property. Recent treatment of PW noticeable. On the South side near Preserve R a huge Brazilian Pepper tree needs to be removed. Step erosion behind resident homes. Irrigation head wash outs on golf course side. Natives growing along perimeter include Duck Potato and Bulrush. Littorals: Planting plan developed for lakes has been developed, the plan also includes some of the preserve areas. This plan has been submitted to the Environmental Committee Chair. d. Submerged: No issues. e. Grass Clippings: No issues. f. Landscape Vegetation Debris: No issues. g. Fish: No issues. 2

h. Trash in Lakes: Minimum to none. i. Shoreline Landscaping: No issues. j. Bulkheads: Lake 13 needs vegetation cleared off structure. k. Fish Barrier: No issues observed. 2.

Control Structures: No issues observed throughout the RWCDD areas. However, RCA, Lake 49 does have issues needing to be addressed. The Lake has Baby Tears and one (1) large wax myrtle, on the lake bank, which is potentially an issue. It is recommend to have the myrtle removed. There is no immediate concern, but this lake and its stormwater structures serve as part of the overall stormwater collection system for many other areas of Riverwood including both CDD and RCA areas of responsibility, and the stormwater structures must be kept free and maintained. Note, the risk to community if not removed, would be if the tree did break loose and float to one of the structures it could cause a damming effect, thus potentially flooding to the community. This issues will be listed in the following section, 15. Non CDD or RCA/CDD Maintenance Agreement Issues of this report, so the issue can be highlighted for the RCA staff. 3. Preserves: a. Storm Related: Due to the storm, the perimeters of the CDD preserves were assess for storm debris. Preserve K, V, and S have trees and/or tree branches that have snapped or collapsed.

Recapture: Trees and branches overhanging, the Preserve M berm near Lake 19 and the need to be cut back. Estimate has been requested. c. Preserve P: Additional plantings have been installed. Requested Tony Parker to communicate for resident to stay out of the preserve, so new plantings will not be stepped on. d. Preserve U, Landscape debris dumping. Already removed, and contacted and spoke with resident. e. Preserve Q, plantings are doing well. Few of the trees still have their support and ties. Ties can now be removed. f. Preserve E, needs to be survey and staked, so vendor and residents will know legal ownership. Taro (exotic) is established along preserve and golf course boundary. g. Preserve R, Exotic trees needs to be completed h. Several other preserves and/or berms have been reviewed for additional exotic removal that is beyond what the routine maintenance agreement covers. These include Lake 37 berm, BB1 & BB2, S, F, N, O. 4. Facilities: Storm damage due to winds occurred on April 28, Items effected appear throughout the report, but an extensive list is included in the project list at the end of this report. Facilities, Unrelated to the storm: Pool Equipment: No new issues. Pumps, Pool Restroom, 12 Pool Lights, and Fencing Area: No new issues. Pavilion: No new issues. Activity Center: No new issues. Community Center: No new issues. Pool Pavers: New pavers have been installed at the pool entrance area, unused pavers should be move to storage. 4

Signage: No new issues. 5. Sports Courts: a. Bocce Courts, Croquet Field, Basketball Court, Horseshoe Pits: No new issues. b. Tennis Pro Shop Area: Light fixture was left on the ground in the corner.

Tennis Courts: Storage buildings behind tennis courts appear to be full. Will ask RCA staff if there a need for an additional unit or is there a major cleaning and/or organization effort needed. d. Tennis Courts: Damage due to storm 6. Kids Playground: No new issues. 7. Dog Park: Request for lock and chain for the double gate maintenance entry area has been purchased. Request for key fob system is being researched. Irrigation tested and coverage has been reviewed and system is performing properly. 8. Roadways: No new issues. 9. Asphalt, Signage/Landscaping, Common Grounds: No new issues. 10. Sidewalks: Sidewalks have been power washed, however After the sidewalk along Riverwood Dr between Stonebridge Lane and Club Drive now have weeds growing in the cracks. Upon review of Landscape Agreement this item is covered and the RCA should address with the vendor. 11. Irrigation System: No new issues. 12. RV Parking Lot: a. Oil leaks should be reported to owner, and they should have them fixed. Oil leaks could be considered illicit discharge, and the oil product can actually break down asphalt faster than normal wear and tear. b. Trailers and other vehicles should not be parked so close to the WWTP fence that they push against the fence, thus causing fence failure. 5

Trees, tree branches and exotics are encroaching into the wetland. e. Issue with oak trees in the Fairway Lakes neighborhood needs to be addressed. Resident has complained that the oak tree roots are damaging the property at Eagle Trace, Long Lake Ln. Per the RCA Manager, this falls under the RCA/CDD Landscape Agreement because this area is considered common area, and it is something the RCA should take care of. It has been recommended to the RCA Manager that this property be properly surveyed and a county permit secured before any removal of the trees. f. RCA, Lake 49, removal of one (1) tree on lake bank. Please see the above section, 2. Control Structures for more details. 15. Several different people have been reviewing the property boundaries in this area. Larry Lancett and others have reviewed. Resident has recently had Santec provide survey and property markers. 5/11/2015: Severn Trent Staff along with vendor has visited the area to review the exotic removal needed on the CDD Preserves, BB1 and BB2. While in the area was able to speak with Larry and see the staked property lines provided by Santec. Preserve BB1 and BB 2, Vendor has submitted estimate: Cut, chemically stump treat, remove exotic invasive tree and chemically kill in place all remianing exotic invasive plants. Estimate will be reviewed with Environmental Committee Chair. 16. Fish/Wildlife Observations: This month there was a high amount of wildlife seen throughout the property. 9 17. Beach Club Report (High Level): WiFi installed, but router and modem installed in wrong location. Verizon will be back to change location on the 18 th.
