3 Project Goals & Budget Project Goals The Cowles Conservatory Renovation has three general areas of focus: 1. Strengthen Infrastructure Repair and/or replace deteriorating garden features: stairways, planters, walkways, fences, trees/plant material, water pond, parking lot 2. Increase Sustainability and Energy Efficiency Introduce storm water management, improve drainage, irrigation, and improve energy efficiency. 3. Expand Accessibility and Safety Upgrade accessibility throughout, improve safety features, and replace furnishings. Project Funding Sources: A. Legislative Bonding Appropriation: $8,500,000 B. Mississippi Watershed Management Organization (MWMO): Up to $1,500,000 Project Budget: $10,000,000 Construction Budget for Cowles Conservatory: $1,500,000

New concrete floor in central house, new decomposed granite floor in pavilion wings. Existing restrooms upgraded (1 stall each), central closets remain. Existing maintenance greenhouse remains.
