About a mile away at Waytown is the Hare and Hounds public house. Approximately 2 miles away is the small and historic town of Beaminster with good restaurants, boutiques, two Doctor s Surgeries, post office and small supermarket. The vibrant Georgian market town of Bridport has a twice weekly street market, a choice of supermarkets, independent shops and various festivals and is becoming well known for its bohemian atmosphere. With easy access to the beaches and many beautiful coastal walks the area forms a part of the Jurassic Coast, World Heritage Site.

Running through the centre of the land is a shallow gulley into which natural springs run, supporting the large pond to the east of the house. An Arboretum stands in a field to the north and was planted by the current owner, comprising a mixture of rare specimen trees such as Tulip, Snake Bark and Ginkgo Biloba. A large gravelled parking area is situated on the western side of the house with access to the integral garage.

Communications Road connections to the West Country are via the A35 to the south and access to London and the south east are via the A303 to the north, M27 to the south, both linking with the M3 and national motorway network. There is a regular train service to London Waterloo from Crewkerne, taking approximately 2 hours 30 minutes and from Dorchester taking from approximately 2 hours 36 minutes. Exeter airport is 36 miles to the west, Bristol Airport 55 miles north and Bournemouth Airport about 50 miles to the east.
