Due to the volume required, such needs are purchased from a competitively sealed bid. Public Purchase, the District s electronic notification system, ed 94 prospective bidders and three (3) proposals were received for consideration. A legal advertisement was published in the Daily Commercial on October 28, 2015 in the Florida Bid Reporting Service during the week of October November 5, 2015; and was also posted on the Public Purchase website. If approved, these agreements will become effective beginning January 14, 2016, and will provide firm prices for a twelve-month period, expiring on January 13, These agreements may be extended for two additional twelve-month periods if mutually agreed to in writing and all terms and conditions remain the same. All of the bids received are available for review in the Purchasing Department. This item supports Focus Area 2 Efficient and Effective Operations and Performance Based Budgeting of the School Board s Strategic Plan and is beneficial to the students because it is necessary to maintain all facilities at an optimal level of operation and performance. ALTERNATIVES: 1. Approve the recommendation to award Bid 4178DG Doors, Frames and Door Hardware as shown below and on the attached tabulation sheet. RECOMMENDATION: I recommend that the Board approve the recommendation to award Bid 4178DG Doors, Frames and Door Hardware as shown below and on the attached tabulation sheet. Specialist dba, located in FISCAL IMPACT: Approval to award this bid will provide the Maintenance Department with agreements at competitively bid prices, which will enable them to supply various schools and departments with doors, frames and door hardware. Based upon the quantities estimated to fulfill these needs during the 12 month term of these agreements the total financial impact to our district will be $111, and will be funded through the Maintenance Department s Capital funds.
