The authorization remains valid for as long as the ertifiation body fulfils its obligations and an regularly furnish proof of areditation. 3 1 2 3 Suessful KEYMARK ertifiation in three easy steps A voluntary KEYMARK ertifiation is muh easier than you think. Certifiation involves only three suessive steps. The appliation for ertifiation Manufaturers who are interested in obtaining the KEYMARK for their produts or servies submit an appliation for a KEYMARK ertifiation to an empowered ertifiation body. Inspetion and type test This step omprises an initial inspetion of the fatory prodution ontrol (FPC), taking into aount the elements of the International Standard EN ISO 9001 and inludes the taking of produt samples. The samples are tested and evaluated in aordane with the appliable European Standards. The deision on the award of the KEYMARK One the test and review have onfirmed onformity with the appliable European Standard, the ertifiation body issues a ertifiate for the produt or the servie. This ertifiate also serves as the non-transferable liene for the use of the KEYMARK. What is inluded in KEYMARK ertifiation The KEYMARK ertifiate inludes information about the plae of prodution, the liense holder and the ertifiation body. This information ensures that the produt or servie an be identified and traed. The ertifiate is valid for five years and may be renewed on request. As a basis for a ertifiation, the manufaturer must have an fatory prodution ontrol in plae. This prodution ontrol is subjet to an annual surveillane and is supplemented by a produt test, whih is onduted at least every two years. The osts of KEYMARK ertifiation Appliation for a KEYMARK liense involves the following fees: A ertifiation fee and a fee for testing and inspetion, whih is determined by the authorized ertifiation body or its subontrator(s). An annual fee for the right to use the KEYMARK. This fee is speified by CEN and CENELEC and is olleted by the authorized ertifiation bodies. Currently the fee is 300 Euros per type and 60 Euros per sub-type.
