To be baked in a 20cm Deep Round Cake Tin 200g Glacé Cherries / 275g Self Raising Flour / 75g Ground Almonds / 2tsp Baking Powder / 225g Soft Margarine / 225g Caster Sugar / 4 Eggs Prepare each cherry into quarters. Measure all the remaining ingredients into a large bowl and beat well to mix thoroughly. Lightly fold in the cherries. Turn into the prepared tin and level the surface. Bake in the pre-heated oven for approximately 1½ to 1¾ hours or until a skewer inserted comes out clean. Leave the cake to cool in the tin for 10 mins then turn out and leave to fully cool on a wire rack. 4 of 12
