Symol Explntion Before instlltion, re the instlltion n opertion mnul, n the wiring instrution sheet. Before performing mintenne n servie tsks, re the servie mnul. For more informtion, see the instller n user referene guie. 1.2 For the instller Generl If you re NOT sure how to instll or operte the unit, ontt your eler. Improper instlltion or tthment of equipment or essories oul result in eletri shok, short-iruit, leks, fire or other mge to the equipment. Only use essories, optionl equipment n spre prts me or pprove y Dikin. Mke sure instlltion, testing n pplie mterils omply with pplile legisltion (on top of the instrutions esrie in the Dikin oumenttion). CAUTION Wer equte personl protetive equipment (protetive gloves, sfety glsses, ) when instlling, mintining or serviing the system. Ter prt n throw wy plsti pkging gs so tht nooy, espeilly hilren, n ply with them. Possile risk: suffotion. DANGER: RISK OF BURNING Do NOT touh the refrigernt piping, wter piping or internl prts uring n immeitely fter opertion. It oul e too hot or too ol. Give it time to return to norml temperture. If you must touh it, wer protetive gloves. Do NOT touh ny ientl leking refrigernt. Provie equte mesures to prevent tht the unit n e use s shelter y smll nimls. Smll nimls tht mke ontt with eletril prts n use mlfuntions, smoke or fire. CAUTION Do NOT touh the ir inlet or luminium fins of the unit. Do NOT ple ny ojets or equipment on top of the unit. 4 1 Generl sfety preutions Mke sure the re is well ventilte. Do NOT lok ny ventiltion openings. Mke sure the unit is level. Do NOT instll the unit in the following ples: In potentilly explosive tmospheres. In ples where there is mhinery tht emits eletromgneti wves. Eletromgneti wves my istur the ontrol system, n use mlfuntion of the equipment. In ples where there is risk of fire ue to the lekge of flmmle gses (exmple: thinner or gsoline), ron fire, ignitle ust. Do NOT re-use joints whih hve een use lrey. Joints me in instlltion etween prts of refrigernt system shll e essile for mintenne purposes. Mke sure instlltion, serviing, mintenne n repir omply with instrutions from Dikin n with pplile legisltion (for exmple ntionl gs regultion) n re exeute only y uthorise persons. Instlltion spe requirements Pipework shll e protete from physil mge. Instlltion of pipework shll e kept to minimum. If pplines ontin R32 refrigernt, the floor re of the room in whih the pplines re instlle, operte n store MUST e lrger thn the minimum floor re efine in tle elow A (m 2 ). See the instlltion mnul or instller referene guie of your pplition for more informtion. Mke sure refrigernt piping instlltion omplies with pplile legisltion. In Europe, EN378 is the pplile stnr. Mke sure the fiel piping n onnetions re NOT sujete to stress. DANGER: RISK OF EXPLOSION Pump own Refrigernt lekge. If you wnt to pump own the system, n there is lek in the refrigernt iruit: Do NOT use the unit's utomti pump own funtion, with whih you n ollet ll refrigernt from the system into the outoor unit. Possile onsequene: Self-omustion n explosion of the ompressor euse of ir going into the operting ompressor. Use seprte reovery system so tht the unit's ompressor oes NOT hve to operte. ALWAYS reover the refrigernt. Do NOT relese them iretly into the environment. Use vuum pump to evute the instlltion. After ll the piping hs een onnete, mke sure there is no gs lek. Use nitrogen to perform gs lek etetion. To voi ompressor rekown, o NOT hrge more thn the speifie mount of refrigernt. When the refrigernt system is to e opene, refrigernt MUST e trete oring to the pplile legisltion. Mke sure there is no oxygen in the system. Refrigernt my only e hrge fter performing the lek test n the vuum rying. In se re-hrge is require, refer to the nmeplte of the unit. It sttes the type of refrigernt n neessry mount. The unit is ftory hrge with refrigernt n epening on pipe sizes n pipe lengths some systems require itionl hrging of refrigernt. Only use tools exlusively for the refrigernt type use in the system, this to ensure pressure resistne n prevent foreign mterils from entering into the system. Chrge the liqui refrigernt s follows: If A siphon tue is present (i.e., the yliner is mrke with "Liqui filling siphon tthe") Then Chrge with the yliner upright. During tests, NEVER pressurize the prout with pressure higher thn the mximum llowle pressure (s inite on the nmeplte of the unit). A siphon tue is NOT present Chrge with the yliner upsie own. Tke suffiient preutions in se of refrigernt lekge. If refrigernt gs leks, ventilte the re immeitely. Possile risks: Exessive refrigernt onentrtions in lose room n le to oxygen efiieny. Toxi gs my e proue if refrigernt gs omes into ontt with fire. Open refrigernt yliners slowly. Chrge the refrigernt in liqui form. Aing it in gs form my prevent norml opertion. 5

6 1 Generl sfety preutions CAUTION When the refrigernt hrging proeure is one or when pusing, lose the vlve of the refrigernt tnk immeitely. If the vlve is NOT lose immeitely, remining pressure might hrge itionl refrigernt. Possile onsequene: Inorret refrigernt mount Brine If pplile. See the instlltion mnul or instller referene guie of your pplition for more informtion. The seletion of the rine MUST e in orne with the pplile legisltion. Tke suffiient preutions in se of rine lekge. If rine leks, ventilte the re immeitely n ontt your lol eler. The mient temperture insie the unit n get muh higher thn tht of the room, e.g. 70 C. In se of rine lek, hot prts insie the unit n rete hzrous sitution. The use n instlltion of the pplition MUST omply with the sfety n environmentl preutions speifie in the pplile legisltion Wter If pplile. See the instlltion mnul or instller referene guie of your pplition for more informtion. Mke sure wter qulity omplies with EU iretive 98/83 EC Eletril DANGER: RISK OF ELECTROCUTION Turn OFF ll power supply efore removing the swith ox over, onneting eletril wiring or touhing eletril prts. Disonnet the power supply for more thn 1 minute, n mesure the voltge t the terminls of min iruit pitors or eletril omponents efore serviing. The voltge MUST e less thn 50 V DC efore you n touh eletril omponents. For the lotion of the terminls, see the wiring igrm. Do NOT touh eletril omponents with wet hns. Do NOT leve the unit unttene when the servie over is remove. If NOT ftory instlle, min swith or other mens for isonnetion, hving ontt seprtion in ll poles proviing full isonnetion uner overvoltge tegory III onition, MUST e instlle in the fixe wiring.
