4 DISHWASHER 1 UNPACKAGING UNPACKAGING Remove the externl protetion: plsti film, top over, polystyrene se nd orner piees. THE DISHWASHER INSTALLATION INSTALACIÓN AND Y MONTAJE FITTING Internl protetion: polystyrene wedges for holding the rks firm. The speifitions lel is on the top edge of the interior of the door. This lel must never e removed, sine it provides informtion out the ext model of the dishwsher, required power supply, seril numer nd wrrnty. 2 CONNECTION The wter onnetion pipe is loted on the k of the dishwsher: Connet the pipe to the wter inlet, tighten the onnetion nut nd mke sure it is seurely onneted to the ppline. TO THE PLUMBING

5 English The hose must run etween the wll nd the ottom spe t the k of the dishwsher (1) so tht it is not squshed or overstrethed. 1 2 There should e fixed wter outlet drin t distne of etween 40 nd 100 m from the floor. Mke sure tht the outlet pipe is not too rigid, ent or squshed. mx. 100 m min. 40 m If your dishwsher hs hot wter inlet, onnet the pipe to the hot wter tp. It is very importnt for the end pipe of the outlet hose is loted seurely in wter outlet so tht it nnot disonnet. 3 ELECTRICAL CONNECTION Plese refer to the speifition lel on the top edge of the door efore mking the eletril onnetions. Mke sure tht the power voltge onneted to the plug soket is s shown on the lel. It is very importnt for the dishwsher to e onneted to n erthed plug soket. The eletril instlltion, plug, soket, fuses or iruit reker nd meter must e ple of the mximum power shown on the speifitions lel. If the power le is dmged, it must e repled exlusively y the mnufturers, fter-sles servie (TAS) or uthorised personnel. 55

6 4 LEVELLING AND POSITIONING LEVELLING The dishwsher must stnd firmly on the floor nd e ompletely perpendiulr. It must e levelled to orret ny possile unevenness of the floor. For this, use spirit level. First, level the ppline from k to front; then, level it from left to right. The dishwsher is level when the spirit level ule is ded entre when pled in ny diretion. d POSITIONING If the ppline is to e positioned under worktop, top n e removed or left in position.n; d If you wish to remove the top, tke out the ounterweight t the k nd, on some models, unfold the sheet of insultion; e f e deth the top supports y pulling them towrds the k. f Before siting the dishwsher, move it lose to where it is to e sited nd rise it y turning the k leg until there is spe of 3 mm etween the top of the ppline nd the se of the worktop. g g Some integrted models inlude rod for levelling the k legs from the front of the ppline. g Site the dishwsher nd mke sure tht the pipes nd le re in the ottom spe t the k of the dishwsher. Adjust it up to the worktop until the top of the ppline is in ontt with the se of the kithen worktop..

7 English Fitting dishwsher into row of upords. When fitting the dishwsher into row of kithen upords with ontinuos plinth: unsrew nd remove the se; loosen nd remove support legs; srew the djustle legs into the dishwsher. d Refit the se to the upords nd, if neessry, mke ny hight djustment to plinth to the required height to llow the dishwsher to fit properly ehind. d 5 PANELLING nd FITTING BUILT-IN DISHWASHERS PANELLING Simply fit the sme deor pnels or doors s the kithen upords to the dishwsher door. Sid pnels must e more thn 4 mm thik. Remove the frme round the door y unfstening the srews. Cut the pnel to size: 597 x 587 mm. Fit the deor pnel or door d To fsten the new deortive pnel in ple, srew the frme k onto the door. d 57

8 With some models, the height to whih the door n e pnelled n e djusted to the sme height s the kithen upords. Remove the frme round the door y unfstening the srews. Remove the deor pnel from the dishwsher. Adjust the plte t the ottom of the dishwsher door to the height of the kithen upords. d Ple the deor pnel on the door, mrk the required height nd ut ordingly. e Ple the deor pnel on the frme nd ut it to the sme height s the deor pnel. f Ple the pnel on the door, hold the frme in ple nd mrk the position of the new holes on the door. Drill the holes with 3.25 mm dimeter it (e reful not to drill too deep) nd srew the frme into ple. e d f

9 English FITTING BUILT-IN DISHWASHERS To instll n integrted model dishwsher: If the worktop is mde of wood, ple the plsti protetion on it to prevent stem dmge. Ple the front rkets on the dishwsher to fit it to the upord. Position the dishwsher in its spe nd djust the height of the legs s shown in the POSITIONING hpter 4. d Using the supplied rkets, level the ontrol pnel height with the height of the kithen upord drwer. e Put the templte in position nd mrk the position of the holes. d e f Drill with 2.5 mm dimeter it nd srew the supports (urved side up) to the door. g Tke the door door nd fit the supports in the reesses in the door. Pull upwrds until it omes into ontt with the ontrol pnel nd ensure tht it is firmly in ple. f g g h The mximum nd minimum reommended weights for the door over to e fitted on the dishwsher re s follows: Mximum: 7.84 kg Minimum: 2.87 kg 59

10 h i j k Open the dishwsher door slowly, holding the over in position, nd finlly fsten it in ple with the srews, mking sure the pnel stys in line with the door. If the door springs re not strong enough, ompenste the fore required with the two dditionl srews supplied in the g of essories. Fit the upord se nd sw it down to the required height. If the worktop is mde of wood, fsten the dishwsher to it. If the worktop is mde of grnite, fsten the dishwsher to the upords t the side. i k If the dishwsher is to e fitted into the kithen, leve t lest two millimetres' spe etween the upords or pplines t either side of the dishwsher. j 6 PRE-WASH One the dishwsher hs een instlled orretly, it should e first used on prewsh progrmme: Selet progrmme 1 (pre-wsh), without utensils or detergent. 4 5 Press the On/Off swith. This is to hek the instlltion, the onnetions nd the drin outlet, s well s to ompletely wsh the interior efore running wsh progrmme ON / OFF PROGRAMME

11 DISHWASHER 1 USING THE APPLIANCE - A FEW PRACTICAL TIPS WATER HARDNESS, SALT, RINSE-AID AND DETERGENT Adjusting wter hrdness. Before swithing the dishwsher on, hek the hrdness of the wter in your re. This informtion is ville from your lol wter ord, the town hll, the tehnil ssistne servie or you n use the Aqudur strip supplied in the g of essories. You my not need to use slt. If this is the se, you n go stright to the setion on Rinse-id. Wter ontins lime. The higher the lime ontent, the hrder the wter. To prevent lime from dmging your dishwsher, it hs wter softener to eliminte lime from wter nd len it redy for the wsh. This softener works with slt. Controlling the slt level. Depending on the model, dishwshers will hve mnul or eletroni slt level ontrol. ADJUSTING THE SALT LEVEL If there is slt regultor like the one shown in the photogrphs (Mod. A-B) inside your dishwsher on the right-hnd side, turn it to the numer tht orresponds to the hrdness of the wter in your re (see tle). To turn it to the orret position, use oin (Mod. A) or srewdriver (Mod. B). 12 WHERE TO PUT THE SALT The dishwsher hs slt ontiner in the ottom of the tu. Importnt: use dishwsher slt only. RESERVOIR A SEL The first time you fill the slt ontiner, you must: d Pour in the slt ut do not fill the ontiner to the top. Top it up with wter. Stir with spoon. Close the lid tight nd len the slt round the ontiner. When the slt ontiner needs filling, you should lwys do it efore wsh nd not fterwrds. d When do I need to dd slt? Depending on the model, window on the lid of the slt ontiner or light inditor on the front of the ppline show when slt is required. It is reommended tht you reple the used slt every fortnight rther thn wit for the slt level inditor to light up. WINDOW PILOT LIGHT You should not use slt if your dishwsher does not need it. In this se, the pilot light will remin on t ll times.

13 English The rinse-id helps drying nd prevents drops of wter from linging to utensils fter wshing. The rinse-id ontiner is loted on the inside of the door, next to the detergent ontiner. It hs 4-position dispenser for djusting the mount of rinse-id to the wter qulity (the dispenser is set t position 2 t the ftory). If you notie drops of wter on utensils, inrese the position of the rinse-id dispenser. If the utensils hve white or stiky lines, lower the position. One the level of the dispenser hs een set, fill the ontiner to the top, ut do not overfill it. If this ours, len the spillge with loth. A greter mount of rinse-id does not neessrily men etter results. In ft, too muh rinse-id n led to wter mrks. DISPENSER RINSE-AID CONTAINER When do I need to dd rinse-id? The dishwsher tells you when you need to dd more rinse-id. Depending on the model, there re two types of inditor: window or pilot light. EMPTY WINDOW FULL Trnsprent window next to the rinse-id ontiner lid. If the ottom of the window is light olour, you need to dd rinseid. If it is drk, there is suffiient rinse-id in the ontiner. PILOT LIGHT A pilot light on the front of the dishwsher indites when the rinse-id ontiner needs to e topped up. 63

14 The detergent is poured into ontiner on the inside of the door, next to the rinse-id ontiner. One the detergent hs een poured in, lose the lid. Some progrmmes require extr detergent, nd should e pled in the spe in the ontiner lid. Tlet, powder nd liquid detergent n e used. The mount of detergent required is shown in the tle on pge 69. DETERGENT CONTAINER ECOLOGICAL WASHING Using more detergent nd rinse-id thn neessry does not improve the results of your dishwsher nd esides leding to higher osts, it hs negtive effet on the environment.

FOR 13 PLACE SETTINGS EN FOR 12 PLACE SETTINGS EN If your model hs fold-down rks, you n use them in vertil position for wshing pltes or in horizontl position for lrge items suh s suepns. 17 English Adjusting the rks The rks n e djusted in ord with the lod. The top rk n e pled t two different heights for wshing different-sized pltes. In the upper position, the top rk holds stndrdsize pltes of up to 19 m nd the ottom rk holds pltes of up to 31 m. In the lower position, the top rk holds pltes of up to 24 m nd the ottom rk holds pltes of up to 26 m. 19 m. 31 m. 24 m. 26 m. Top rk model A: This n e djusted without eing removed from its rils, even when loded with utensils. To rise or lower its position, pull the rk upwrds y the side hndles. Chek tht oth sides re t the sme height. If not, mke them level. Top rk model B: Remove the stop tht prevents the rk wheels from oming out of the rils. Pull the rk towrds you nd tke it out. Position the rk t the desired height. Reple the stop in its originl position. 67

21 4 WASH PROGRAMME PHASES English If the dishwsher is funtioning nd... - You wish to dd nother dish. - You wish to hnge the wsh progrmme. 1. Press the On / Off utton. 2. Ple the dish in the dishwsher nd/or hnge the wsh progrmme. 3. Press the On / Off utton. Do not open the dishwsher door during the wshing proess. This ould interfere with the progrmme phses. 5 POWER CUTS If power ut ours, when the eletriity omes k on the wshing mhine will ontinue to run from where it left off. 6 BASIC TIPS There few things you should lwys er in mind. If you do, your dishwsher will lst longer nd e more effiient. Fill the dishwsher: Try to mke the most of your dishwsher s pity. This will help you redue wter nd eletriity onsumption nd led to quieter opertion nd e more eonomil. Position utensils orretly. For est qulity wshes, the spry rms should e le to spin freely. Likewise, the utensils should e positioned orretly to ensure tht they re rehed y the jet of wter. Progrmme seletion. Selet the orret wsh progrmme nd dditionl funtions s required. d Clening. Clen the filters nd spry rms every three months. Also hek tht they re orretly in ple. 71

22 DISHWASHER APPLIANCE MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING You should perform the lening opertions regulrly so tht your dishwsher will lst longer. You should do the following every three months: Clen the filter. Clen the spry rms. Clen the inside. Clen the outside. This will mke your dishwsher lst longer. If you re plnning to e wy for long period, leve the dishwsher door open so tht the ir n irulte freely inside the mhine. 1 CLEANING THE WASH FILTER The filter is mde up of two or three prts (depending on model type): interior filter, exterior filter nd filter protetor. It is loted t the ottom of the dishwsher under the ottom rk. Tke out the ottom rk, remove the interior filter y turning it ntilokwise nd pulling it upwrds. Remove the exterior filter. C It is essentil tht filters re put k in ple orretly. Mke sure the filter protetor is in ple. The exterior filter fits into position. Put the interior filter in position nd turn it lokwise s fr s it will go.

23 2 CLEANING THE SPRAY ARMS The third spry rm (some models), the top spry rm nd the ottom spry rm must e lened every three months. Removing the spry rms: Remove the third spry rm y pressing it upwrds nd unsrewing it. The top spry rm fits on the top rk. To remove it, unsrew it. Remove the ottom spry rm y loosening the ottom nut nd then pulling the rm upwrds. Chek tht the spry nozzles re len. If they They should e lened re loked, they must e under running wter lered. using non-rsive Fit the spry rms k sponge. in ple 3 CLEANING THE INSIDE OF THE APPLIANCE The dishwsher should e lened every three months to remove the dirt lodged in the ppline. 4 CLEANING THE OUTSIDE OF THE APPLIANCE Clen the outside with loth nd sopy wter. Use non-srth nd nonrsive produts. Dry with loth. Insted of detergent, use ppline lener (follow the mnufturer s instrutions). English Before ny lening or mintenne opertions, unplug the dishwsher from the mins. For sfety resons, mke sure the ppline is not in opertion while it is eing lened. 73

24 DISHWASHER TROUBLESHOOTING If you find prolem when using your dishwsher, you will proly e le to solve it y onsulting the following setion. If this is not so, plese ontt the TECHNI- CAL ASSISTANCE SERVICE nd e redy to provide s muh informtion s possile. 1 TECHNICAL OR FUNCTIONAL PROBLEMS Why won t the dishwsher strt? This my e euse: There is no power. It isn t plugged in orretly. The power fuses hve lown. The dishwsher is not onneted to the mins. You hven t pressed the On/Off utton (the pilot light for this utton must e on ontinuously). The dishwsher door is not losed orretly. You hve not pressed the Strt utton. The dishwsher strts up ut no wter omes into the ppline This my e euse: There is no wter supply. The stop tp is off. The wter inlet eletrovlve filter is loked. The wter does not drin off nd stys in the dishwsher This my e euse: The drin is loked or dly fitted. The dringe pipe is loked or kinked. The filters re loked. The seleted progrmme hs not ended. Wit until it finishes. The low slt level pilot light does not go off This my e euse: A low slt level. Add slt nd stir with spoon. The wter hrdness is elow 7DH, whih mens tht slt is not neessry. In this se, the light will lwys e on.

The spry rms ru on dish. 2 PROBLEMS WITH THE QUALITY OF THE WASH Remins of dirt or food on the utensils This my e euse: The wsh filter is dirty, loked or not orretly in ple. The spry rm nozzles re dirty or the rms re loked y utensil. The detergent is inpproprite or there is n insuffiient mount. The utensils re not positioned orretly. Some utensils re in ontt with others. There re too mny utensils in the rks. The wsh progrmme is inpproprite. The drin is loked. The food remins on the utensils were too old nd dry. The utensils ome out white This my e euse: There ws not enough detergent or rinse-id. The slt ontiner lid is not losed orretly. The slt ontiner hs no wter or slt. The wter softener is not orretly djusted to the wter hrdness level. You hve used phosphte-free detergent. Try with detergent ontining phosphte.. The utensils do not ome out dry This my e euse: There is no rinse-id. The rinse-id ontrol is not set orretly. The utensils re positioned inorretly. The utensils hve een tken out too soon.
