3 FIRST TIME USE HOW TO START THE APPLIANCE After plugging the pplince to the mins, it strts the opertion utomticlly. After strting the pplince, wit t lest 4-6 hours efore plcing food into the fridge nd into the freezer comprtment. DAILY USE FUNCTIONS ON/STANDBY FUNCTION To put the product in Stnd-y, press nd hold the On/Stnd By utton for 3 seconds. All the indictors turn off except On/ Stndy indictor. Press gin to rectivte the pplince. SMART DISPLAY This optionl function cn e used to sve energy. To ctivte the Smrt Disply, press Fridge Temperture nd Prty Mode uttons t the sme time for 3 seconds until n udile signl sounds. To dectivte this function repet the sme procedure. Rememer tht this function does not disconnect the pplince from the power supply, ut only reduce the power consumed y externl disply. TEMPERATURE SETTING To djust the Fridge Temperture, press the Fridge Temperture utton. The Fridge Temperture cn e djusted etween +2 C nd + 8 C, s shown y the Fridge Temperture LEDs. PARTY MODE Press to ctivte/dectivte the Prty Mode function. Use this function to chill drinks inside the freezer comprtment. Importnt: do not leve the ottle inside the freezer comprtment longer thn the function is ctive (30 minutes) 6TH SSE FRESH CONTROL This function utomticlly works to ensure the optiml conditions to preserve the stored food. If there re ny vritions, 6th Sense Fresh Control immeditely restores the idel conditions. Results re outstnding: freshness preserved t est throughout the fridge cvity up to 4 times longer. When the pplince is connected to the power supply, the disply lights up nd ll the icons pper on the disply for pproximtely 1 second. The defult (fctory) vlues of the fridge comprtment settings light-up. See Use nd Cre Guide for more detils on functions / see lst pge for informtion on how to otin the Use nd Cre Guide INSTALLATION OF THE WATER FILTER (ACTIVE CARBON) The wter filter is locted inside the tnk. This filter reduces the mount of chlorine, sediment, dirt, rust nd cloudiness in the drinking wter in the continer locted inside the tnk. The filter must e instlled in ottle lcony following the instructions contined in the wter filter ox. The filter is removle. REFRIGERATOR LIGHT The light system inside the refrigertor comprtment uses LEDs light, llowing etter lightning s well s very low energy consumption. If the LED light system does not work, plese contct the Service to replce it. Importnt: The refrigertor comprtment light switches on when the refrigertor door is opened. If the door is kept open for more then 10 minutes the light will e utomticlly switched off. FAN + ANTIBACTERIAL FILTER The Fn improves temperture distriution inside the refrigertor comprtment, llowing etter preservtion of stored food. If the pplince hs the Fn it cn e equipped with the nticteril filter. Remove it from the ox plced in the crisper drwer nd insert into the fn cover - s in the picture. The replcement procedure is included in the filter ox. FAST COOL Using Fst Cool function it is possile to increse the cooling in the refrigertor comprtment. The use of this function is recommended when plcing very high quntity of food in the refrigertor comprtment. Press the Fst Cool utton to ctivte Fst Cool function. When ctivted, the Fst Cool indictor will turn on. The function is utomticlly disled fter 6 hours, or cn e mnully disled y pressing Fst Cool utton. 3

4 Jul Aug Sep Oct Nov WATER FILTER The wter filter use n ctive cron crtridge tht reduces the mount of chlorine, sediments, dirt, rust nd cloudiness in the drinking wter. The filter must e instlled in the ottle lcony. It is removle. If you re in octoer, fce Oct month in the window) - See Fig. 6 Fig 1 Wter tnk Fig 2 Filter housing Oct CARBON CARTRIDGE ACTIVATION Before to use filter, the CARBON FILTER CARTRIDGE must e ctivted nd instlled. Remove the cron filter from the pckging ( which you cn find in fruits nd vegetles crisper) nd ctive it in this wy; 1.sumerge underwter for 10 minutes 2. remove it from wter nd shke it vigorously for 10 seconds to ctivte Fig 6 Close the filter to reinsert in the ottle lcony (Fig. 7): ) insert the funnel on the filter housing ) rotte the funnel nticlockwise to fix it. FILTER INSTALLATION Remove filter from lcony nd open it to insert the cron crtridge: Click! - Unlock the whole filter turning it nticlockwise (Fig 3) Fig 7 Then plce the whole filter in the ottle lcony nd lock it following the sequence in Fig 8. 5 FILLING AND FILTERING WATER Remove the cp nd pour wter into the funnel: the wter fill will e filtered nd will fill the wter tnk. You cn fill up to 3 litres. Don t overfill wter (the mx wter level is indicted on the tn). Note: fill wter only in the thnk. Do not insert juice, coke or other drink ecuse they cn dmge the filter nd the dispenser functionlity. Filter reset utton Fig 12 Filter indictor To replce the cron crtridge: - Unlock the filter nd remove it from the lcony; - Remove the funnel from filter housing rotting it nticlockwise -Remove the old cron crtridge nd insert the new one fter ctivted, with current month fced in the window) (You cn follow the procedure descried in Cron filter ctivtion nd Filter instlltion - Fig. 3,4,5,6,7,8). Once replced, Reset the cron filter y the Filter Reset utton ( see Fig.12 ) keeping it pressed for 3 seconds. Fig 9 MAX CLEAN THE TANK It is suggested to periodiclly remove the tnk to clen it (see fig 13 nd description elow) - unlock the filter () nd remove it (), - remove the ottle lcony (c) then remove the tnk nd wsh it. DISPSING WATER To dispense wter press the pddle with gless (Fig. 11) nd relese the pddle to stop dispensing. Wsh the tnk with wter only. At the end of clening, plce it gin on the door then replce the ottle lcony nd the filter (lwys rememer to lock the filter) Fig 10 Fig 11 c d NOTE: possile lck in the filtered wter or in filter re re norml nd not dngerous, they re due the norml cron filter functionlity. DISPSER CHILD LOCK: You cn lock the dispenser s pddle to void children dispensing wter (flip the smll lever ehind the pddle s shown in (Fig. 11) Fig 13 In cse you decide to remove completely the wter filter nd tnk from your fridge, you cn remove the whole filter nd the tnk, using the lcony to normlly store wter ottles. In this cse plese use the filter cp to cover the hole on the lcony (see Fig. 14). REPLACING THE CARBON CARTRIDGE The cron filter lsts mx 2 months for continuous use (up to 225 lt). The filter indictor on the control pnel (if ville, see Fig.12, ) tells you when it s time to chnge the crtridge: when the filter is in regulr sttus the indictor is off. When the filter is expired the indictor lit on nd is linking. (For models without filter indictor on control pnel plese check the Month of instlltion - visile in the filter housing window). Fig 14 5

6 ALARM TABLE ALARM TYPE Signl Cuse Cure Door open lrm The cousticl lrm is ctivted nd the Alrm Indictor links. The Fridge or Freezer door hs remined open for more thn 2 minutes. Close the door or press the Stop Alrm utton to mute the cousticl lrm. Temperture lrm The cousticl lrm is ctivted nd the Alrm Indictor remins on. Inside the Freezer the temperture is not dequte Press the Stop Alrm utton ; the cousticl lrm stops, the Alrm Indictor remins on until temperture < -10 C is reched. Prty Mode lrm The Prty Mode Indictor links nd the cousticl lrm is ctivted. 30 min. elpsed since Prty Mode function hs een ctivted. It is time to tke out the ottle from the freezer (see Use nd Cre Guide for more detils). Long lck-out lrm The Blck Out Alrm icon remins on, the Alrm indictor links. Prolonged power filure, le to cuse the inside temperture to increse to 0 C. Press the Stop Alrm utton ; the cousticl lrm stops, the Alrm Indictor remins on until temperture < -10 C is reched. Wter filter lrm The Wter filter lrm indictor lit on. Finished the vlidity of Wter filter. Replce the Wter filter, press nd hold for 3 sec. the Prty Mode utton to reset it. Mlfunction 3 centrl LEDs in the Fridge Temperture LEDs links on the disply. Product mlfunction. Contct the After-sles Service. 6

7 TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE Prolem Possile Cuse Solution THE APPLIANCE IS NOT WORKING There my e n pplince power supply prolem. Check if power cle plugged into live socket with the proper voltge. Check if the protection devices nd fuses of the electricl system in your home THERE IS WATER IN THE DEFROST PAN THE ED GES OF THE APPLIANCE CABINET, WHIC H COME IN CONTACT WIT H THE DOOR SEAL, ARE WARM TO THE TOUCH THE LIGHT DOES NOT WORK This is norml in hot, dmp wether. The pn cn even e hlf full. This is not defect. This is norml in hot wether nd when the compressor is running. The light my need replcing. The pplince my e in On/Stnd-y model Mke sure the pplince is level so tht the wter does not overflow. Mke sure if the protection devices nd fuses of the electricl system in your home work well. THE MOTOR SEEMS TO RUN TOO MUCH Motor running time depends on different things: numer of door openings, mount of food stored, temperture of the room, setting of the temperture controls. Mke sure tht the pplince controls re correctly set. Check if there is not lrge mount of food een dded to the pplince. Check tht the door is not opened too often. Check tht the door close properly. THE APPLIANCE TEMPERATURE IS TOO HIGH There could e vrious cuses (see Solutions ) Mke sure tht the condenser (ck the pplince) is free of dust nd fluff. Mke sure tht the door properly closed. Mke sure tht the door sels properly fitted. On hot dys or if the room is wrm, the motor nturlly runs longer. If the pplince door hs een left open for while or if lrge mounts of food hve een stored, the motor will run longer in order to cool down the interior of the pplince. THE DOORS DO NOT OP AND CLOSE PROPERLY There could e vrious cuses (see Solutions ) Check tht food pckges re not locking the door. Check tht the internl prts or utomtic ice mker re not out of position. Check tht the door sels re not dirty or sticky. Ensure the pplince is level. 7

If you hve little quntity of food to store in the refrigertor, we recommend to use the shelves ove the crisper for fruits nd vegetles since this is the coolest re of the comprtment. Foods which give off lrge mount ethylene gs nd those tht re sensitive to this gs, such s fruit, vegetles nd sld, should lwys e seprted or wrpped so s not to reduce the storge life; for exmple do not store tomtoes together with kiwi fruits or cge. To void ottles flling over, you cn use the ottle holder (ville on selected models). Do not store food too close together to enle sufficient ir circultion. FREEZER COMPARTMT The freezer is the idel storge loction for store frozen food, mke ice cues nd freeze fresh food in the freezer comprtment. The mximum numer of kilogrms of fresh food tht cn e frozen within 24-hour period is indicted on the rting plte ( kg/24h). If you hve little quntity of food to store in the freezer, we recommend to use the coldest res of your freezer comprtment, corresponding to the middle re.
