I am a bard certified emergency manager (CEM) and hld a dctrate in educatin. I am als a Chief Fire Designee (CFO) thrugh the Internatinal Assciatin f Fire Chief s (IAFC) and a graduate f the Executive Fire Officer (EFO) prgram at the Natinal Emergency Training Center in Emmitsburg, Maryland. I als hld the Military Emergency Manager Specialist Master Badge. I als retired frm the United States Air Frce Reserve as a Lieutenant Clnel, finishing up my 21 year Air Frce career as an Emergency Preparedness Liaisn Officer (EPLO) assigned t the Defense Supprt f Civilian Authrities (DSCA) Cmmand Cell, 1st Air Frce (Air Frces Nrthern), Tyndall Air Frce Base, Fla. Air Frce EPLOs supprt the designated cmbatant cmmander and lead federal agencies t assist in crdinating military supprt t lcal, state and federal agencies invlved in dmestic incident management. I was deplyed t the Oklahma City Bmbing in 1995, assisting the FEMA Incident Supprt Team (IST) n site. Again, in 1995 I was deplyed t the Flrida State Emergency Operatins Center as a part f the State Emergency Respnse Team (SERT) and crdinated all firefighting and urban search and rescue peratins during Hurricane Opal. In my military rle, I deplyed t New Orleans in the aftermath f Hurricane Katrina as the fficer in cmmand f an aermedical evacuatin liaisn team (AELT) that was a part f Jint Task Frce (JTF) Katrina and crdinated jint civilian/military airlift f ver 20,000 evacuee s and 4,500 casualties. I had the hnr and privilege f deplying with a GREAT team f persnnel shrtly after the September 11th attacks. My Team and I were amng the first mbilized in the aftermath f the

2 September 11th attacks in 2001 and deplyed as the cmmanding fficer f an Aermedical Evacuatin Team t tw classified frward lcatins in the Afghanistan/Pakistan area. My Team crdinated the medical evacuatin f US and calitin cmbat casualties and directly supprted cmbat search and rescue peratins. Our Team was recgnized by the Department f Defense and awarded the valr V device fr ur effrts. In 1995, I deplyed t Haiti during OPERATION UPHOLD DEMOCRACY and crdinated rtary lift-aermedical evacuatin between Prt A Prince and the USNS Cmfrt.
