5 Intrductin The Avigiln Cntrl Center integratin with Gallagher Cmmand Centre include the fllwing features: Viewing live vide frm cameras cnnected t the Avigiln system and cntrl PTZ devices in the Gallagher Cmmand Centre sftware. Viewing recrded vide in the Gallagher Cmmand Centre sftware. Viewing classified bjects detected by Avigiln self-learning vide analytics devices. Viewing events frm the Avigiln Cntrl Center in the Gallagher Cmmand Centre sftware. Cntrlling Avigiln Cntrl Center alarms frm the Gallagher Cmmand Centre sftware. Requirements Vendr Requirements Avigiln Cntrl Center Server sftware 5.6 r later Avigiln Third Party Integratin license: Avigiln ACC5-GLGR-CMNDC Avigiln integratin executable file: Avigiln AvigilnGallagher.exe Gallagher Gallagher Cmmand Centre 7.2 r 7.3 Upgrading t Gallagher Cmmand Center 7.x If yu installed the integratin sftware then upgraded t Gallagher Cmmand Centre 7.x, be aware that the upgrade prcess verwrites sme f the files required by the integratin. Yu may need t reinstall the integratin but yur settings are nt affected. Upgrading t Avigiln Cntrl Center 5.x If yu are upgrading t Avigiln Cntrl Center 5 frm versin 4 and t the latest versin f the integratin sftware, be aware that the Avigiln Cntrl Center uses a new default prt number (38880) fr server cmmunicatin. After yu install the Avigiln Cntrl Center 5 upgrade, yu must manually update the DVR prt number as described in Gallagher DVR Cnfiguratin n page 6. If yu had set a custm prt number, the system will cntinue t use the custm prt number. Intrductin 1

7 Installatin Server 1. Install the Gallagher Cmmand Centre Server sftware. 2. Install the Gallagher Cntrller API (FTCAPI) n the Gallagher Cmmand Centre Server. a. Set the Gallagher Cntrller IP prt. Refer t the API Lcatin tpic in the Gallagher Cntrller API Develpers Guide. 3. Install the integratin sftware (AvigilnGallagher.exe). 4. Apply the Avigiln integratin license t ne f the Avigiln Cntrl Center 5.6 Servers in yur system. As yu cnfigure the integratin, all references t the Avigiln server needs t pint t this server. Servers within the same Site share cnfiguratin and set up details, s access t ne Avigiln server will give yu access t all servers and cameras in the Site. Client Cmputer Cmplete the fllwing steps fr all Gallagher Wrkstatins that require the integratin. 1. Install the Gallagher Cmmand Centre Wrkstatin sftware. 2. Install the integratin sftware (AvigilnGallagher.exe). Silent Installatin It is pssible t perfrm an unmanned, r silent, installatin f the integratin sftware. If a silent installatin is nt required, simply run the integratin installer and fllw the nscreen prmpts. T perfrm a silent installatin, enter the fllwing cmmands int a Cmmand Prmpt windw: Tip: The lgging cmmand is ptinal. T install the integratin, enter the fllwing string: <name f the installer.exe> /s /l=<preferred lg directry> TARGETDIR="<Gallagher installatin bin flder>" Fr example: AvigilnGallagher.exe /s /l=c:\users\first.last\desktp\gallagher.lg TARGETDIR="c:\Prgram Files (x86)\gallagher\cmmand Centre" T uninstall the integratin, enter the fllwing string: <name f the installer.exe> /s /l=<preferred lg directry> UNINSTALL=YES AvigilnGallagher.exe /s /l=c:\users\first.last\desktp\gallagher.lg UNINSTALL=YES Installatin 3

8 T upgrade the previus integratin, enter the fllwing string: <name f the upgrade installer> /s /l=<preferred lg directry> AvigilnGallagher.exe /s /l=c:\users\first.last\desktp\gallagher.lg Checking the Avigiln License After yu have installed all the required sftware, check that the Avigiln license was applied crrectly. 1. Open the Avigiln Cntrl Center Admin Tl. 2. Select the Settings tab and click Licensing. The License Activatin dialg bx appears. The dialg bx must say Integratin Cnnectins: Yes r the sftware was nt prperly licensed. 4 Checking the Avigiln License

9 Basic Cnfiguratin The basic cnfiguratin establishes the link between Avigiln servers and Gallagher servers. This allws the tw servers t cmmunicate. Adding an Integratin User in Avigiln Cntrl Center T prtect the security f the Avigiln Cntrl Center system, add a user in the Avigiln Cntrl Center Client sftware specifically fr cnnecting the integratin. The user yu add will be used t cnnect the Avigiln Cntrl Center system t the Avigiln integratin sftware. See the Avigiln Cntrl Center Client User Guide fr mre details. View Live Images Use PTZ Cntrls Lck PTZ Cntrls View Recrded Images The integratin username and passwrd is used t add Avigiln servers t the Gallagher Cmmand Centre. In the Avigiln Cntrl Center Client sftware, cmplete the fllwing steps: 1. In the Setup tab, select the Site then click. 2. In the Grups tab, click. 3. In the fllwing dialg bx, select t cpy the Standard Users grup permissins. 4. In the Edit Grup dialg bx, give the new grup a name then select the recmmended permissins fr the integratin. Make sure nly the required permissins are selected. 5. Click OK t save the new grup. 6. Select the Users tab then click. 7. In the Add User dialg bx, enter a User Name:. 8. In the Passwrd area, cmplete the fllwing fields: Passwrd: enter a passwrd fr the user. Cnfirm Passwrd: re-enter the passwrd. Passwrd never expires: yu may want t select this check bx s that yu d nt need t update the Avigiln Cntrl Center passwrd fr the integratin.. 9. Select the Member Of tab and select the check bx beside the grup yu created earlier in this prcedure. The ther tw clumns display the permissins linked t the selected grup. 10. Click OK. The user is added t the system. Basic Cnfiguratin 5

10 Gallagher DVR Cnfiguratin This cnfiguratin allws fr cmmunicatin between the Avigiln server and the Gallagher server. 1. In the Gallagher Cmmand Centre, pen the External Systems Master List Windw. 2. Right-click and select New > DVR System. The New DVR System Prperties dialg bx appears. 3. In the General tab, enter a name fr the Avigiln server. 4. In the Cnfiguratin tab, enter the server IP address, prt, username and passwrd used t access the Avigiln server. Use the username and passwrd yu created in the Adding an Integratin User in Avigiln prcedure. Use the frmat <Server Address:Prt>,<Username>,<Passwrd> Fr example: :38880,administratr,passwrd 6 Gallagher DVR Cnfiguratin

11 5. Select the DVR Setup tab then cmplete the fllwing fields: Name/IP Address: enter the IP address fr the Avigiln server that is licensed fr the integratin. Username and Passwrd: enter the same username and passwrd that was used in the Cnfiguratin tab. In the Stred drp dwn list, select Avigiln Stred Vide. In the Live drp dwn list, select Avigiln Live Vide. 6. Select the API Setup tab. Cmplete the fllwing fields: Gallagher DVR Cnfiguratin 7

12 Select a cntrller t assciate with the Avigiln server. In the Middleware PC Name/IP Address field, enter the name r IP address f the server that is running the FTCAPI. In the Identity area, give the Avigiln Site a Unique identity. 7. Select the Event Respnse tab then select an Alarm Zne fr all Events fr the server. 8. Click OK. 8 Gallagher DVR Cnfiguratin

13 Trigger and Acknwledge Avigiln Alarms frm Gallagher Create alarms in the Avigiln Cntrl Center Client sftware that can be managed by the Gallagher Cmmand Centre sftware. Avigiln Alarm Cnfiguratin Envirnment Set up alarms in the Avigiln Cntrl Center Client befre yu cnfigure Gallagher t manage all the alarms. NOTE: The alarm name is case sensitive and must be unique t the server. 1. In the Avigiln Cntrl Center Client sftware, pen the Site Setup tab and click. 2. In the Alarms dialg bx, click. 3. On the Select Alarm Trigger Surce page, select External Sftware Event frm the Alarm Trigger Surce: drp dwn list. Click after yu cmplete each page. 4. On the Select Linked Cameras page, select the cameras t link t this alarm, and set the Pre-Alarm Recrd Time: and Recrding Duratin:. 5. On the Select Alarm Recipients page, select the Avigiln Cntrl Center user that was added fr the integratin. Yu can als add any ther grups r users that need t be ntified when this alarm is triggered. 6. (Optinal) If yu wuld like t trigger an actin when an alarm is acknwledged, select Activate selected digital utput(s) n alarm acknwledgement check bx. a. Select the digital utputs t be activated and specify the duratin. b. Select Require user cnfirmatin befre activating digital utput(s) check bx if the user needs t cnfirm the alarm befre the digital utput actin is initiated. 7. Enter a name fr the alarm and set the alarm pririty. The alarm name is used t identify the alarm during the integratin. 8. Ensure Enable alarm check bx is selected then click. Cnfiguring Gallagher t Trigger and Acknwledge Avigiln Alarms Cnfigure the Gallagher Cmmand Centre t manage Avigiln alarms. The Gallagher Cmmand Centre uses FTCAPI strings t send alarm triggers and acknwledgments t the Avigiln Cntrl Center. 1. In Gallagher Cmmand Center, pen the External Systems Master List windw. 2. Right-click the camera assciated with an alarm and select Prperties. 3. Select the Trigger-Output tab. 4. Open the Hardware Master List windw. Trigger and Acknwledge Avigiln Alarms frm Gallagher 9

14 5. Frm the Hardware Master List windw, drag the utput that will trigger the alarm int the Trigger Outputs tab in the Prperties dialg bx. Outputs can include magnetic lcks, alarm bells r warning lights. A change in any f the utputs will send a FTCAPI string that can be used t trigger r acknwledge an Avigiln alarm. 6. Click OK. 7. In the Hardware Master List windw, right-click the selected utput and select Prperties. 8. Select the Messages tab. 9. In the Cntrller API strings area, enter the alarm trigger infrmatin in the On field in the fllwing frmat: alarmtrigger <Licensed Avigiln Server Address> <Alarm Name> Fr example: alarmtrigger burg alarm 10 Cnfiguring Gallagher t Trigger and Acknwledge Avigiln Alarms

15 NOTE: The case sensitive alarm name is cnfigured in the Avigiln Cntrl Center Client. Fr mre infrmatin, see Avigiln Alarm Cnfiguratin Envirnment n page Yu have the ptin f adding an acknwledgement string in the Off field t autmatically acknwledge the alarm in the Avigiln system. Use the fllwing frmat: alarmack <Licensed Avigiln Server Address> <Ack Permissin> <Alarm Name> Fr example: alarmack nrmal burg alarm NOTE: <Ack Permissin> can be set t nrmal, grant r deny. The grant and deny settings can nly be used when the alarm requires user cnfirmatin t activate a digital utput. Fr mre infrmatin, see Avigiln Alarm Cnfiguratin Envirnment n page 9. Alarm Mnitring in the Avigiln Cntrl Center Client All alarms cnfigured in the Avigiln Cntrl Center can be mnitred in the Avigiln Cntrl Center Client. 16 View Avigiln Image Data and Events in Gallagher Gallagher can be cnfigured t view live and recrded vide frm Avigiln cameras, and receive Avigiln events. Gallagher assciates recrded vide with specific alarms, s yu must cnfigure an actin plan in Gallagher befre yu can review recrded vide in Gallagher. Cnfiguring Cameras Befre Avigiln cameras can be viewed in the Gallagher Cmmand Centre, the cameras must be added t the Gallagher Cmmand Centre sftware. Cmplete the fllwing prcedures: Assigning Lgical IDs t Cameras In the Avigiln Cntrl Center Client sftware, assign a lgical ID t each camera. The integratin sftware nly allws yu t access cameras with a lgical ID. By default, cameras d nt have a lgical ID. 1. In the Avigiln Cntrl Center Client sftware, right-click a camera in the System Explrer and select Setup. 2. In the camera Setup tab, click General. 3. In the General dialg bx, enter a Lgical ID: fr the camera. The lgical ID must be unique number. Gallagher Camera Setup 1. In the Gallagher Cmmand Centre, pen the External Systems Master List Windw. 2. Right-click the windw and select New > DVR System Camera. 3. In the General tab, name the Avigiln camera. 12 View Avigiln Image Data and Events in Gallagher

17 4. Select the Setup tab, and cmplete the fllwing fields: DVR System: select the Avigiln server the camera is cnnected t. Identificatin: enter the Lgical ID assigned t the camera in the Avigiln system. Fr mre infrmatin, see Assigning Lgical IDs t Cameras n the previus page. 5. Select the Event Respnse tab then select an Alarm Zne fr all Events fr the camera. 6. Click OK. Testing the Cnnectin Once the cameras and sftware have been cnfigured t supprt the integratin, test the cnnectin t cnfirm that the integratin was successful. In the Gallagher Cmmand Centre, perfrm the fllwing: In the External Systems Master List Windw, right-click an Avigiln camera and select Watch. If yu are able t watch live vide, the cnnectin was successful. If yu are unable t watch live vide and a symbl appears ver the camera, the cnnectin was unsuccessful. Cnfirm the fllwing then test the cnnectin again: The camera is cnnected t the Avigiln Server it was assigned t in the Gallagher Camera Setup prcedure. The camera s lgical ID matches the Identificatin assigned t the camera during the Gallagher Camera Setup prcedure. The FTCAPI was installed prperly. The installatin and cnfiguratin prcedures were cmpleted in full. If the cnnectin cntinues t be unsuccessful, cntact Avigiln Technical Supprt at supprt@avigiln.cm. Testing the Cnnectin 13

18 Viewing Live Vide and Cntrlling PTZ In the Gallagher Cmmand Centre, pen the External Systems Master List Windw, right-click a camera and select Watch: If the Avigiln camera is cnfigured fr pan, tilt, and zm (PTZ), the PTZ cntrls will autmatically appear when yu view live vide. If yu are watching vide frm an Avigiln vide analytics device, the classified bject bunding bxes are autmatically displayed. A red bunding bx identifies a persn, and a blue bx identifies a vehicle. T disable this feature, see Disabling Classified Object Bunding Bxes n page 21. Cnfiguring and Viewing Recrded Vide Yu can nly view recrded vide frm Avigiln cameras when the cameras are part f a Gallagher alarm. Gallagher alarms are generated frm events with an actin plan. Avigiln cameras must be added t an actin plan t becme part f a Gallagher alarm. Adding Avigiln Cameras t a Gallagher Actin Plan Create an actin plan t enable Avigiln cameras t recrd when a Gallagher alarm is triggered. 14 Viewing Live Vide and Cntrlling PTZ

19 1. In the Gallagher Cmmand Centre, pen the Actin Plan Master List Windw and the External Systems Master List Windw. 2. Right-click the Actin Plan Master List Windw and select New > Actin Plan. 3. In the General tab, name the new actin plan. 4. Select ne f the fllwing tabs: Select the Armed tab if the actin plan is t be assciated with an Armed Alarm Zne. Select the Disarm tab if the actin plan is t be assciated with a Disarmed Alarm Zne. 5. In the Alarm Pririty drp dwn list, select an available alarm pririty. 6. Fr the Cameras, Macrs and External System Items bx, drag a camera frm the External Systems Master List Windw int the bx. 7. Click OK. Assigning Actin Plans t Events in Gallagher Once an actin plan has been created t include Avigiln cameras, the actin plan must be attached t an event t trigger alarms. T assign an actin plan t an event in Gallagher, see the Gallagher Cmmand Centre Classic User Guide. Assigning Actin Plans t Events in Gallagher 15

20 Viewing Recrded Vide Once an alarm is triggered by an event that includes an Avigiln camera actin plan, recrded vide can be viewed. NOTE: If an alarm is deleted, the event cannt be viewed. 1. In the Gallagher Cmmand Center, pen the Alarm Viewer. 2. Right-click the alarm, then select View and select the camera. If the vide des nt display, the event may still be ccurring and the Avigiln server has nt finished recrding the event. Wait a few secnds then try again, r watch the live vide. If yu cannt lcate the alarm, use the Find Tl t lcate the recrded vide. 16 Viewing Recrded Vide

21 Cnfiguring Avigiln System Events in Gallagher T mnitr Avigiln system events in Gallagher, yu must create three placehlder cameras t receive event infrmatin frm Avigiln. This allws yu t mnitr the health f the Avigiln Cntrl Center system in the Gallagher Cmmand Centre. Avigiln system events can include server errrs, database issues and lw strage availability. 1. In the Gallagher Cmmand Centre, pen the External Systems Master List Windw. 2. Right-click the windw and select New > DVR System Camera. 3. In the General tab, give the placehlder a name. 4. Select the Setup tab, and cmplete the fllwing fields: 5. Click OK. DVR System: select the Avigiln Site yu want t receive system infrmatin frm. Identificatin: enter ne f the fllwing. Make sure the Identificatin is spelled exactly as listed r the system events will nt be received by the Gallagher sftware. ACC Server Events fr Avigiln Cntrl Center Server events. ACC Database Events fr vide indexing, vide metadata and cnfiguratin data related events. ACC Strage Events fr netwrk vide recrder strage events. 6. Repeat this prcedure until yu have a placehlder fr each f the three event types. Each f the events are mapped t an External Event Grup ID in Gallagher. When an event ccurs, the Gallagher Cmmand Centre will respnd using the actin plan assigned t the event. T change the actin plan, see Cnfiguring Actin Plans fr Avigiln Events n the next page. 22 Cnfiguring Actin Plans fr Avigiln Events Cnfigure an actin plan t respnd t events generated by the Avigiln system and cameras. 1. In the External System Master List Windw, right-click an Avigiln camera r placehlder and select Prperties. 2. In the DVR Camera Prperties dialg bx, select the Event Respnse tab. 3. In the Event Grup list, select the External Event Grup yu want t edit. Fr a detailed list f the External Event Grup ID assigned t each Avigiln event, see Gallagher External Event Grup ID List n page In the Actin Plan fr External Event Grup drp dwn list, select an actin plan. If yu want t view the recrded vide fr a mtin event, select an actin plan that includes the Avigiln camera. Fr mre infrmatin, see Adding Avigiln Cameras t a Gallagher Actin Plan n page In the Alarm Zne fr all Events drp dwn list, select an alarm zne fr this alarm. 6. 23 Trubleshting If the fllwing trubleshting slutins d nt reslve yur issue, cntact Avigiln Technical Supprt Integratin Fails After yu install the integratin, the fllwing issues arise: Yu are able t add the Avigiln server and cameras but all the devices are displayed as ffline in the Gallagher sftware. When yu pen the Avigiln Cntrl Center Client sftware, the server and cameras are nline and functining. The Avigiln t Gallagher API service displays a Started status, but the FT Cntrller service is stuck in the Starting status. The issue may ccur if there is a prt cnflict between Gallagher Cmmand Centre and the Gallagher Cntrller API (FTCAPI). T reslve the issue, cmplete the fllwing steps: 1. Make sure the FTCAPI is installed n the Gallagher Cmmand Centre Server. 2. Set the Gallagher Cntrller Server t use a different prt. Refer t the API Lcatin tpic in the Gallagher Cntrller API Develpers Guide. 3. Restart the FT Cntrller Service. When yu launch the Gallagher Cmmand Centre sftware again, the Avigiln server and cameras shuld be listed as nline. Avigiln Camera Will Nt Display Vide Yu are unable t watch live vide frm an Avigiln camera and a symbl is displayed ver the camera in the Gallagher sftware. When yu try t display live vide frm the same camera in the Avigiln Cntrl Center sftware, it displays crrectly. This issue ccurs if the integratin was unable t cnnect with the camera. Cnfirm the fllwing then test the cnnectin again: The camera is cnnected t the Avigiln Server it was assigned t in the Gallagher Camera Setup prcedure. The camera s lgical ID matches the Identificatin assigned t the camera during the Gallagher Camera Setup prcedure. The FTCAPI was installed prperly. The installatin and cnfiguratin prcedures were cmpleted in full. Trubleshting 19
